Devastated by the loss of her brother, Natasha Senecot works to expose the dangers of Matthew Chrysler’s violent video games, succeeding in bankrupting and humiliating him.

Natasha is a mother first and foremost. Her priority is her children. She is also a blogger who tries to protect children from the machinations of an unscrupulous man who creates violent video games with subliminal messages to teach children to kill. Long sentence, but accurate.
Matthew Chrysler's goal is to stop Natasha from ruining his lucrative plans. He sends his best hit man, Alex to kill her. What he didn't expect is the respect that Alex has for her and his attraction to her.
What ensues is an interesting "relationship" that Alex and Natasha have. It's a cat and mouse game, but the cat is also looking out for the mouse. It's as if he is playing with is prey until he decides the best plan of attack.
More complications make the story one not to be put down. The ex-husband and the cop want to be a part of Natasha's life. The ex-husband, Tony, realizes the mistake he made when he let her go. He wants to be a part of her life and the father that his two children need. The police officer knows that Tony is a fool.
I don't believe that I have stated any spoilers in what I have written. There are many plot twists that even though you know what the objectives of the story are, you are kept guessing and reading! I started this book at 10 pm, not my brightest moment. I forced myself to stop reading at midnight and was back at the book at 6 am.
Cami Checketts is not only and AMAZING author...She is also an AMAZING person!
And this book is SO. SO. SO. GOOD!
Suspense, action, mystery, romance, and a momma who will do anything to protect her kids...it's all in here!
Blogging is a great way to tell others what you believe in...and Natasha's blog is getting a lot of attention!
She is trying to protect children from the dangers of violent video games produced by Matthew Chrysler.
She believes that his games are turning these children into killers because that is exactly what it did to her own brother.
Now Chrysler has sent a hit man to take down her blog...and ultimately kill her.
"Natasha is forced to fake her own death to protect herself and her children."
But can she keep quiet?
Can she stop blogging about how bad these games really are?
Will protecting other children cost her the lives of her children and herself?
GREAT TWISTS in the plot keep you reading to find out who the bad guy really is and how much Natasha is willing to say...or not say...before her time runs out.
Right from the start, this book grabbed my gut and my heart with surprising action and touching moments. Cami Checketts blends suspense, humor, and good clean romance into a story that has stuck with me. Every time I thought the action would level out and the characters would just sit back and be predictable, they did something to surprise me. The characters are distinct and realistic. I found the relationship between the parents and their special needs child to be believable. Blog This also brings to light the issue of violent video games and their impact on teens. If you like clean romance and thrillers you will enjoy this book.
Unfortunately, Cami Checketts is best known for her cookie cutter billionaire romances, along with a group of other women. You know the type, change the names, a circumstance or two and maybe the setting then republish.
But this book shows that Cami is wasting her talents with the above-mentioned writings. It is a great suspense book, no who-done-it or anything to figure out, but a real page turner.
Blog This did have aspects to it that I didn't enjoy, but the story line far outshines anything I didn't like about it. Great job!!
Cami Checketts is a genius! She writes about topics that aren't widely discussed, in and out of books, and she does such a brilliant job of crafting these things into wonderful stories that touch your heart and remain with you for days afterwards.I sat down in the library and started reading this book, just for a little while. Three hours later the book was finished and I was regretting reading in such an open environment without at least 20 packets of tissues handy. There are so many emotions in this book, so many different layers of love and bravery and hope and I loved every moment of it!
The main character in Blog This, Natasha, is brave and fierce mother who loves her children more than anything and will stop at nothign to ensure that good is done. She is an amazing person and she is so strong and full of love. I don't know what it's like to be a mother - I still have to wait a few more years for that! - but I still found myself connecting with Natasha and really feeling the love she felt for her children and the need to protect them at all costs.
All of the characters in this book were fantastic, even if we only saw them for a few pages, you could still get such a deep sense of who they were. They are all real people and it's just so easy to fall into this book and to understand these characters, that I hardly noticed I was reading at all.
This book was beautiful with such a great message. My youngest sister has autism and she is such a joy to us all so I could really understand the feelings toward Lily and Anna. I love that Cami encompasses so many different things within her books and she does them in such a way that it never feels as if too much is going on.
Blog This is a wonderful read and I'm still feeling the emotional impacts of it. I would recommend this book to anyone. I think that no matter who you are or where you come from, there will be something in this story you can connect to.
Natasha Senecot never got over the tragic death of her brother. She blames the death on Matthew Chrysler and the violent video games his company sells. She succeeds in destroying his company years ago, but now he’s back and, once again, selling violent video games to children. The games appear to be programming the children to become real life killers.
She creates a blog to expose Chrysler for the criminal he is, but he’s not going to take this quietly. In fact, he hires a hit man to eliminate her and finally get Natasha out of Chrysler’s way. He means serious business, but so does Natasha. However, when the hit man gets a bit too close to home and threatens her young children, she tries to get out of the horrible position she finds herself. It’s a case of too little, too late and their lives are in more danger than ever before.
I’m afraid I can’t do justice in giving a synopsis of this book. There’s so much involved in this storyline. The author takes the reader on a rollercoaster from page one to the very end. I read this at the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely had to know what was going to happen.
Some of Natasha’s choices had me scratching my head, but it didn’t deter from the excitement of the book. I have read other books by Cami Checketts and she is brilliant at writing suspense. It’s a standalone book that stays with you for a long time.
FTC Disclosure: The author provided me with a copy of this book to review for this blog tour. This did not influence my thoughts and opinions in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.
Once again, Cami has written a great story that pulls the reader into a wonderful world. There was just enough suspense and drama in Blog This to make me want to just keep reading and reading. And while it deals with a serious topic, children's violent behavior because of violent video games, the story is not preachy or political. It is a story of one woman, Natasha, trying to take down the 'bad guys' and using her blog to make her point.
When the 'bad guys' decide that Natasha and her blog need to be stopped, the excitement starts. It actually starts in the very first chapter when a hit man comes to Natasha's house to kill her. What a way to get sucked into the story! Whew!
I thoroughly enjoy reading Cami's stories. They are always so easy to read and get lost in. Her stories are very down to earth, her characters are very likable and real, and the words just seem to flow off the pages and into my imagination. I love when that happens and I love it when I can find a story that captures me so much that I never want it to end. Blog This did that for me!
Here are some of the great lines I loved ~~
'I can't ignore the problem again.'
"You need to tell these moms the truth," she said. "Tell them who you are and why you are doing this. Inspire them in your own way." Ivy leaned close to him. "Or give up your dream."
"The conspiracy started as a scheme to make some extra money" Natasha continued, "but I started to believe it."
Don't these lines sound intriguing? Don't they make you want to read Blog This?
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Now I like romantic suspense, and when I saw the blurb about this book, I thought I would enjoy it. Well I didn't. The beginning chapters drew me in because I wanted to see if the main character, Natasha would survive being shot by hitman- who essentially tells her the reason it's her fault that she's going to die. Only the hitman doesn't kill the target, because he sees she has kids, one of whom reminds him of his sister who has Downs syndrome. Alex (yes that's the hitman's name- he actually told Natasha his name) has orders to finish the job, but he doesn't and finds all these ways and means to essentially stalk Natasha and her family. He keeps getting into her house, he follows her in the grocery store, he even shows up at her church. What? I thought she had police/FBI protection and nobody can figure out how he keeps eluding the security? Why is she not doing anything about this? The encounters between Alex and Natasha keep escalating to the point where they end up kissing each other, and she's comparing Alex and her ex-husband. Are you serious? Obviously no one in this story can figure anything out, and I had to skip to the end, and even that was disappointing.
I absolutely loved this book! Cami is one of my favorite authors and she has never let me down. The book starts out with a mom and her two children playing in the snow, enjoying being with each other and having a blast. Then out of the blue their world is turned upside down.
My feelings about Natasha not giving up the fight against Matthew Chrysler were mixed. On one hand I thought she was very brave to continue her blog because she knew how violent his video games were, but on the other hand I wondered how she could put herself and her children in danger again.
I loved how Natasha was with her children, but thought at times she sugar coated things to much, which left Jace open for disappointment later. As for Lily, I thought she was just adorable!
The book was filled with a lot of suspense, but there was also “Cami humor”, (which I love) and a little romance, or a lot, depending on which way you look at it. Seems it was coming from all directions!
If you haven’t read Cami’s books before, why not pick up a copy of this book. It’s really really good!
This is Romantic Suspense at an action-packed pace that's easy to read in a few hours. It has an interesting, strong female as the lead character and a happily-ever-after ending that is expected of the genre. I liked this book but I had to knock off a couple of stars for a couple of negatives that make a significant difference to me.
What it lacked, to make it a great book for me, was an interesting, STRONG male to take the lead on the good guys side. Tony and Scott were set up to be equal contenders for Natasha's attention but neither was strong enough to be her leading man, in my opinion. I would have liked there to have been more "character", maybe as well as, more so than instead of "chemistry" competing for her favour.
I like the good guys to be good guys and the bad guys to be bad guys in "Happy-Ever-After" fiction; so, the blurring of the lines in the ending to this book was something of a disappointment, for me. It seemed like more than just a "Stockholm Syndrome" thing going on for Natasha (and for her son, Jace), which didn't sit well me.
I read Dead Running over the summer and really enjoyed Ms. Checketts’s blend of humor, romance and suspense. She hits all the right notes again with Blog This! At first I wasn’t sure which romantic lead we were supposed to be rooting for, but pretty soon it was obvious there was only one viable option, though there were some very big, very real obstacles to overcome. A couple times I wanted to shake the main character, but Ms. Checketts did a really great job of making even kind of annoying or outright evil characters sympathetic. A fun read!
I received a free e-copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Can you believe I’ve read this story in just one sitting?! Dang! I can’t believe I’ve hold on too long to read this story. Hahaay! I guess I should start erasing my judgment about book covers eh?
I could have given this story a 4-star rating because I didn’t like the ending. Grrr, well Alex, I am available and I wouldn’t mind your adventurous background hehe. But this story hook me up just as I was starting its first chapter so I can’t help myself and just gave this one a raging 5-star rating.
This story gave me suspense just like what I feel when I read books from MHC but unlike hers, I was able guess the real culprit in this book. Well, it wasn’t actually that hard, this story only have a handful of characters until the FBI showed up, haha, I was even confused on what’s the name of the good guys. Well, I’m not really good with names and being a sleuth, but this story just made my dream come true and spot on the real culprit without a sweat, so thanks Ms Author, though I think you should have make the ending better. Haha, it was actually great, but if you’re rooting for Alex like I do, then you’ll absolutely feel the same way that I did haha. Oops haha, I should have said it first that this story also have a little romance added into it than blabber about Alex eh? Lol. So yeah, this story has it which makes me want it more. I love that it wasn’t too cheesy and too cliché so it will absolutely left you to crave for more. Also, I haven’t read other books with the same plot so that’s absolutely great!
As I’ve mentioned above, this story only have a handful of characters so they’re so easy to keep track of, not until the FBI came (curious? Just read for yourself hehe) And so far, I only encountered two to three words that I need to consult the dictionary for its meaning, so overall, my reading experience with this book was an absolute pleasure.
This is just my first time reading a story from the author so I didn’t expected a lot so I guess that’s also one of the reasons that I enjoyed this story so much. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to read this great story and made it sit idle in my reading list for almost a year (or maybe more? Lol) but I think what’s more important is that I was able to read it eh? I believe that there’s no such thing as late when it comes with books, haha.
This story made me squeal both of “kilig” and for suspense and it left me wanting for more, so I guess I’ll be stalking the author at the end of this.
This book is highly recommended and I am so excited for you to read it too. Ciao!
Blog This doesn't mess around when it comes to the action from the get-go. I wasn't quite expecting that, but what a way to start with a bang...literally! When single Mom, Natasha Senecot, is playing with her two children, her fun afternoon is interrupted by an assassin. With her strong views about violent video games on her blog, she has made a ruthless enemy of a video game maker tycoon. Now he wants Natasha stopped. You actually feel the same level of panic as Natasha does while she is being stalked in her own home by Alex, the assassin. There are so many creepy things that happen, that it's better to read this book during the day than at night.
I could relate so well to the feelings of Natasha, as a mother who would do anything to protect her children. Poor Natasha is also dealing with her feelings for her handsome ex-husband and the rugged and charming detective investigating the case.
Blog This is so suspenseful that you will be questioning every person who comes in contact with Natasha, except her kids and her father. You will go back and forth throughout the book until the end. This has to be one of my favorite books that Cami Checketts has ever written. You will want to put this one down on your to-read list today.
Most of us use technology, in particular, the internet. A lot of us blog. Are we blogging with passion? Are we using our blog for a purpose? As you know if you are reading this because you are following Reviewing Novels Online, I blog to bring good books that I have loved to your attention, and hopefully help the author get the books into your hands. Blog This explores the concept of using the blog to do an even greater good. Truly a suspense story, using vivid imagery and detail to keep the reader turning pages while sitting at the edge of their seat in an attempt to keep up with the action. I agonized with Natasha as she had to make snap decisions to keep her children safe. Cami lets us somewhat into Alex's mind as he does his job, but it is really Natasha and her family that we are drawn to, that we live with through this book. I know that you will see more of Cami Chacketts novels on my blog, as she has become a favorite suspense writer in my life.
I received this book free from Cami Chacketts and Book Blasts and Blog Tours in exchange for writing an honest review. A positive critique was not required. The opinions stated are my own.
This was an intense thriller about a successful mommy blogger who becomes the focus of a hit-man when she upsets the power one violent video game tycoon has upon children. Natasha is the main character, with her two cute kids. FBI agents, police, and ex-husband and her talkative best friend all try to keep her alive, but she may be her worst enemy as she can’t seem to stop blogging about atrocities when they happen. Cami’s books always have an action-filled plot, quirky characters that grow on you, and lots of twists.
I'm a big fan of Cami's and I was really interested in reading this because it sounded very fresh and unique. I love thrillers and this is what I would call Blog This. I could not put it down and wanted to take in all I could. The story flows smoothly from page to page and the characters are strongly written. Natasha's story had me on the edge of my seat and rooting for her the whole time. Great book!
A young mother writes a blog warning others against the evils of violent video games. When the makers of such games wants her silenced, they send a hit man to take care of her. The premise of this book was intriguing, but pretty unlikely. In this day of technology, I can't imagine Alex getting away with half of what he did. It was suspenseful & everything is wrapped up nicely. language: clean; heat level: mild
This is a great story! Natasha is being targeted by a killer. She is trying to protect her children and herself from being killed, as well as protect other children from becoming programed killers. Matthew Chrysler is the head of a video game company that makes violent video games. Natasha is trying to shut down his companies through her blog. I really liked this book.
Blog This is a great book! I started reading it and couldn't put it down. It kept me wondering the whole time. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone!!
Blog This, by Cami Checketts, is Book 1 in romantic thriller Tenderness and Terror series. The deciding factor to give this book a try is that its setting is in Cache Valley, Utah where I am from and the author a local. I usually do not read romantic thrillers unless they have the supernatural element. In this book, the main character Natasha has been shot to stop her from hurting the big-time video game businessman’s profits by her blogging. She has had personal experience with his brain-washing techniques that reside in the video games that cause youngsters to engage in gun violence, so she aims to educate parents and stop the video game sales. Now she and her family are in danger with a Hitman lurking nearby as a constant threat. This book is written well with great descriptions, of places, characters, and events but it is not a read for those who like their romance on the dirtier side. This book is described as clean and it for sure is. Those who are religious and LDS that love romance books will take to this one and may enjoy the entire series. For me, I am not religious, and I do not need a lot of naughtiness in my books either, but I did find it laughable that the main character in this book had significant issues along with her ex-husband when they end up in bed together. For me, it is weird that adults who have had sex before cannot have sex unless they are married, but again that is a religious ideal. For those unaware of the religious aspect may find this strange too. As far as the premise of this story goes, there was not enough detail or scientific evidence to back up the brain-washing video games to make me believe in the danger of them while the story lacked suspense. The end has more action than the beginning and middle making most of the story about Natasha’s run-ins with her stalker lingering on all while cops and FBI agents kept failing to catch the hitman stalker. Checkett’s writes how beautiful Natasha is one too many times which starts to annoy. And as she has three potential suitors each fail to bring and romance into the story except for the stalkers one daring kiss. I rate this book 2 ½ out of 4 stars. This book may not have been my cup of tea, but it is well-written with no grammatical errors. It ended up being enjoyable enough, but not for me to pick up other books in this series. I do recommend this book for those who like to read light, clean and comfortable romantic thrillers.
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
I have now read the three stories in this series. By mistake, I read Redeem this very first, because of this I knew a little more about the characters when I started into Blog This. Once I realized my mistake, I decided to read Protect This: Prequel to Blog This. This helped me to understand Natasha and Tony’s back story a little better. I have read several reviews for this book, but I feel that they aren't giving this story enough credit. It is a very easy quick read, which does keep the reader on their toes. I did enjoy the characters and the plot line. That being said, I will admit that when I started reading Redeem This I was frustrated with how easily one of the characters falls for Alex and once again, it seems that Natasha found forgiveness with Alex quite quickly. Especially after being shot by him and harassed by him for so long. I can’t wrap my head around this, forced or not, Alex has killed people and has frightened her for so long. That seems to be the greatest weakness in these story lines; there is no way I can believe how “lovable” Alex is. However, this is a fiction book and I’m reading to get away from the real world. I do enjoy Cami Checketts writing and I will be reading more of her works.
I'm a bit irritated at Cami right now... laundry didn't get done, kitchen is still a mess, nothing laid out for dinner, and the yard still needs mowing. W.O.W! One of the best books I've read in a long time. I honestly had a hard time putting it down. It was kinda crazy... I couldn't decide which guy I was rooting for... Alex, Scott and Tony each had their own positives. Natasha was so "brave and beautiful". Jace, Lili and Anna were simply adorable! What a great book! I highly recommend!!
3 stars because I like this author but I do not like the subject. I see where this is going and I can’t swallow it. I won’t be finishing this book. This book is about forgiveness and I guess that’s a hard pill.
Boy this book is terrific. The dynamics of Natasha and the other characters is so unique. Danger and romance in abundance. Couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read the next book.
I actually read about 60% of this book before I finally realized that it really was as bad as I thought. Stupidity to the max. Wish I had that time back.
You people should just read this book yourselves and write your own review on this novel yourself and I really enjoyed reading this book very much so.Shelley MA
