Just read book 2 and I have to commend the authors on their storytelling abilities. This book flows nicely from the first and does a great job of leading up to the third. I also liked how they brought Presley's brother and Marley back into the story line. I loved getting to know them better and feel Trevor and Marley are a good fit together. Hopefully we get to see more of them in the 3rd book or maybe their own follow up book??? Can't wait for the novella and book3 !!! :)

I really love this series. It shows the ups and downs between Levi and Presley as well as the new developed relationship between Marley and Trevor. In this book Presley and Levi come face to face with their "firsts" and they have to navigate those tough conversations that all couples have to have. I really appreciate that Levi isn't made out to be just another dumb hockey player and he is able to be both smart and athletic. Presley is a strong female character with her own path in life and Levi compliments that in her and encourages her to do her best. And good luck to any man after reading what Levi does for Valentine's Day. The passion between Levi and Presley is palpable and boy are their sex scenes steamy. Cannot wait to see whats next for Levi and Presley after the draft along with seeing where Marley and Trevor go in their relationship.

Presley and Levi are everything!!!

Presely and Levi both grew up in this book. They had some obstacles they had to work out but in the end everything came together. I just love that they gave it there all, not just in each other but as well school and work. I loved to see Trevor and Levi both became great friends in the end. As well to see both Levi and Presley living out there dream. I can't wait to see how this series will end.

Move over boys – Levi Carr is my new book boyfriend.

No, really. After a REALLY long night, I came home and put my kiddo to bed. The first thing on my mind? I was excited for a glass of wine and to spend the rest of the evening with Presley and Levi. Breakaway took my breath away, and I was in no way prepared for how emotionally attached I would be to these characters in the second book! (Or how frustrated I would be with a HUGE cliffhanger!!)

In book one, we fell in love with Levi and Presley. Despite their screw ups, we knew they were perfect for one another. And if I’m honest? I’d have been ok with it being a one shot, stand alone novel. But thank GOD (not Levi) that Lindsay Paige and Mary Smith had other plans!!

Seriously guys, this book left me with a HUGE grin on my face. It started about 3% and didn’t go away. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but let me tell you this – Levi? He does Valentines day like I have never seen before. And I love him for it. (Seriously – that one scene/chapter made the whole book for me!)

Again, Mary Smith and Lindsay Paige have an AMAZING talent for the duel voices – I cannot go on and on enough about how well this works! And I loved that they brought Marley and Trevor back into the story, and gave them a huge role! (And I can’t wait to see where they end up in book three after the evil, evil cliffhanger!)

So yeah – gushing aside? If you like sports. Or Coming of age (sort of) or New Adult? And romance? Then this series? Is for you! It was a pleasure to spend today lost in this world, and I know I’m going to be suffering a book hangover for awhile!

OFF THE ICE (THE PENALTY KILL TRILOGY 2) by LINDSAY PAIGE & MARY SMITH

Book 1 of this trilogy I truly enjoyed and I got so excited when I found out that book 2 is live. Off The Ice is what I would like to think a book that readers of this trilogy is anticipating. We got to know the characters and how they made up in book 1 but in this story, we see em growing as mature individuals and how their relationship grew since book 1. It was nice to know that they are moving forward and that their life as individuals is progressing. Presley confronted her parents and let it all out to em while Levi is struggling to find some peace of mind since his Dad’s heart attack. But the good thing is, they are helping each other through and through but by the end of the book, their future is a bit blurry because Levi is off to his professional hockey dream & Presley will be left behind.

I like the fact that there is less drama in this book. I mean, when it comes to Levi & Presley. They are stable & emotionally secure with each other and I like reading stories with that kind of feel.

I can’t wait for book 3 and what future holds for em. :)

I really liked this book and it was better than book one!

I enjoyed them both but I can see how the plot is thickening and getting more interesting! I love the characters and their relationship, chemistry and sexy time is done really well! The side characters are just as interesting. By book two you are feeling like part of the family. I also, like the Hockey aspect I don't know much about it but it is really fun hearing about it! Makes me want to watch... Go Pens!

I can't wait to read book three, I just hope they don't make us wait to long!!! I hate when that happens, I think it makes you loose some of the impact/ intensity of the story!

Great job on book 2 can't wait for 3!!!

The first book, Breakaway, is about Levi and Presley falling in love. Off The Ice continues their story. Sunny makes some appearances, which can never be good, and then enter Zack, an old friend of Presley's. You know there will be some trouble coming. I enjoyed this book as much as the first. Valentine's Day was the best part of the book and I was heartbroken at 74%. I love any book that can make me feel what the characters are feeling and this one definitely did that. I cannot wait to read the final book to see how it all will end with Levi and Presley.

Things that happened in this book I was certainly not expecting. I had figured Levi would be the one to mess up, not Presley. She should have learned from Levi's lies not to lie herself but she didn't. When Zach wasn't intimidated by Levi, that was certainly a clue right there that he was going to try something. And on her birthday of all days. I have to admit that Levi's Valentine's gift was very romantic. There are not many guys out there to plan what he did. The storyline is starting to pick up so I hope it continues through the next book

What an adorable continuation of Presley & Levi's story. I think that it was perfect because throughout the whole book, each character's growth was seen. Of course things weren't perfect, but then the story would have been boring and unrealistic if that happened. I though that the issues that they had to deal with were great because they were things that couples could potentially face everyday. I really do adore these characters and I want the perfect ending for them in Game Winner, which based on the title I'm hoping my thoughts are right.

I was really hoping for a "Trevor" spinoff series from these books...maybe he could break up with Marley's and it could happen?! ;-)
