Thanks to netgalley for allowing me a free read in exchange for a review. Thanks for allowing me this title. I enjoyed Bas and Priyas story and look forward to more by this author. Bas showed really good chemistry toward Priya, but Priya seemed to be a hard nosed reporter who was searching for her brother. I still enjoyed the book and overall entertainment was three stars.

This book was a great example of cat and mouse. Priya is looking for answers to save her brother and Bas is protecting his shifter secret. There is spying and intrigue as well as passion and both of them trying to deny the attraction that they feel towards each other. You definitely look forward to the moment they both give in... and that is when the book ends, of course! Making to want more so you can see what happens next!

I read this explosive tale in installments and I must say after every time I finished one I was fiending for the next one. If I had to do it again and wait for the entire story. Would I?! Nope the installments took me on a ride I never wanted to get off. AC has done it again!!! Getting to know the shifters and what they stand for again is something I also look forward. But witnessing a sexy ALPHA shadow male, Sebastian, fall for a FIERY human female, Priya, was the shit!!!!! I'm loving the new dynamics of the mating of the shifters with humans! This unveiling of shadow shifters was only the beginning but what a beginning it was!!!!!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 29, 2014

Sebastian Perry, gorgeous shape-shifter, has tremendous guilt. Completely disarmed by his momentary hesitation to save a woman, he has fallen into despair. Sworn as a shifter to protect any female in danger, no amount of status, success, or money, can make him feel right again. Prowling around his domain, Bas aches to feel complete, to feel alive, to feel the love of a female. But what woman could possibly trust a man, shifter or not, that cannot protect her?

Priya Drake is tired of fending for herself. Growing up in a family that had nothing but problems, she’s made it to a top newspaper as a reporter, only to continually get snubbed by her boss. When she accidentally witnesses Bas shift, she knows she’s sitting on the scoop that will make her career. But telling the story isn’t so simple. She needs to get her facts straight, and the mounting attraction between her and Bas isn’t helping one bit. Priya thinks she has everything under control, but as the nights get hotter and danger continues to mount, Priya has to ask herself—can she betray the man she loves?

REVIEW: SHIFTER’S CLAIM is the fourth instalment in A.C.Arthur’s adult, contemporary The Shadow Shifters paranormal romance series focusing on a group of feline shifting jaguars originally from the Amazon. This is millionaire resort owner and jaguar Shadow Shifter Sebastian Perry and newspaper reporter (and human) Priya Drake’s storyline. Although this is the fourth in the series, it can be read as a stand alone although I would suggest reading the series from the beginning to understand all of the lingo etc.

Told from two close third person POVs the focus of the storyline is two fold: Priya is a reporter who suspects that there are shifters among the humans and she has been forced to gather information about their existence. Priya’s involvement has more to do with a threat against someone she loves then revealing the truth about shapeshifters. While Priya looks for answers, Sebastian and his team are called in to investigate a shipment of designer drugs that may be connected to a government facility known as Comastaz Labs, and a rogue band of jaguar shifters. When Priya and Sebastian collide, fur will fly when ‘Bas’, as he is called, denies that Priya is his ‘companheiro’ or mate.

Shifter’s Claim is a detailed storyline that is somewhat dependent on prior knowledge of the series. The jaguar shifters have a ruling government not unlike many national political systems and in this the storyline and premise follows a strict guideline of principles and rules. The secondary characters play a major role throughout the story including most of the previous storyline shifters who all have a specific job description. There is a small index at the beginning of the novel that gives some of the definitions and descriptions.

A.C. Arthur pulls the reader into a compelling and imaginative storyline where two people struggle with their attraction to one another. Priya is on a mission to gather information for an unknown source; and Sebastian must stay true to the laws of the shifters and never reveal their existence to human kind. Although Bas’s jaguar knows that Priya is their mate, Sebastian refuses to recognize the call to mate because he knows that he would only bring pain and sorrow to any woman that is connected to him.

Shifter’s Claim is a seductive, intense and spirited storyline of heartbreak and betrayal; family and love; suspense and action. The Shadow Shifter series takes a passionate look at a species whose goal is to survive in a world dominated by human bigotry and specieism, and through it all, each individual shifter will discover that there is someone out there who is the other half to their soul; who must risk love and a happily ever when all around them someone is trying to take them down.

Ready for an exciting treat? Then A.C. Arthur's Shifter's Claim is the book for you. Sexy and intense.. running a full gamut of emotions.

Shifter's Claim is book four in Ms. Arthur's Shadow Shifter Series and once again I feel like I am late to the table. Where has this series been hiding?

The Premise?? Shadow Shifters have always lived among us. Hiding in plain site as it were for the most time they lived amongst their tribes in distant locales.. Btu now they have come into urban settings, they still have hopes of keeping their secret. But this is more than a few individuals it's an entire society. There are currently five known species of shifters originated from the Gungi rainforest and now spread out across the world, namely: The Topètinia (jaguars); The Croesteriia (cheetahs); The Lormenia (tigers); The Bosinia (cougars); and The Serfins (white lions). They have always had a leadership but now many have moved to the US and their leadership has developed in many ways it shadows the US government. With a central leader and several "senators" or more accurately called FL's (). With one main objective, tell no one. Secondary to that, the government is charged with serving and protecting. Not just their species but the humans as well.

Of course that means someone is out to change things..

Priya Drake has dragged herself up from the gutter. From a home first filled with abuse and later drugs.. she has managed to excel, first as a student and now as an up and coming journalist. She is pretty darn happy with herself. But one night in an alley behind a bar she sees something she shouldn't. And now there is someone who wants more from her. Discover if the shifters are real and expose them or her brother will die. Confident that Roman Reynolds is the the link she starts stalking him only to find herself in a darkened ally in an expensive hotel being held against the sexiest man ever..

Sebastian "Bas" Perry is a successful billionaire.. coming from money he managed to make his own. He is suave and gorgeous and never seen with the same woman twice. A charming easy going man who is also the leader of a section of the US for his people. Second in command only to their leader. He has spent his life committed to protecting women, shifter and human alike. A case of look but don't touch and if any touching is done to make sure everyone knows the score. But when sexy Priya Drake happens along, Bas is lost.

A book that starts in DC and heads to Sedona Arizona is sensual sexy at it's very best! In Sedona Bas is in charge.. no questions and when he realizes tht Priya has tagged along Bas is furious.. and intrigued. Keeping him to herself, a secret pleasure. Only it's not all fun and games. Priya has to keep digging and Bas is forced to keep the secret from her.
,
Add to that that there are some rogues out there trying to bring in drugs and guns and a mysterious need for revenge and Bas finally looses it. Now he has to discover just how much he can share and if Priya can keep a secret.

Dangers abide for this stunningly sensual couple. And trust is a bridge that must be crossed. If they don't then they remain standing on opposite sides of the divide.

The best part of this book? The amazing chemistry.. between not just Bas and Priya but between the members of the shifter organization. There are ties that bind that most of us can not comprehend.. Ms. Arthur does a spectacular job bringing them to the fore!!

Seriously, start this series.. even if you have to start here!

CONCEPT
The concept of this story was the latest in Shadow Shifter saga, where the shifters are half man, half animal trying to remain a secret to the world but events are proving it difficult remain in the shadows.
STORY
In the 4th installment of the Shadow Shifter series, hotel magnate Sebastian Perry is an attractive man that can have any woman he wants, however he is not a fan of relationships and will seek to avoid them no matter what. He is loyal to the Shifters and works diligently to defend the human world from the rogues. His most important assignment, that of trying to steer Priya Drake, a reporter, from exposing the Shifters to the world, and finds himself spellbound by the mutual attraction between them. These two initially meet at the Presidential fundraiser, and the sparks set off once their eyes meet. Priya is determined to uncover Bas’ secret and he is determine to keep the secret at all cost as well as protect his heart. Once the secret is out, will Priya sacrifice her relationship for Bas for a story or does this relationship progress to another great love.
CHARACTERS
The author did an outstanding crafting these characters. Readers are able to understand and see what past events shaped Sebastian’s character. Readers cannot help but fall in love with this charming and sometimes hard man. He was a stubborn man but once he decided he wanted Priya, he pursued her with single-minded determination. Priya’s character was well-developed in that readers see how her impulsiveness will put her in the most dangerous situations, to where Bas doesn’t whether to throttle her or kiss her senseless. To say these two are explosive together is an understatement. The calor scent is so strong between these two and they are both running from the inevitable. They are drawn to each other and once Priya learns the secret she is in so deep that she knows what must be done to preserve the secret.

DIALOGUE
The dialogue was engaging and stays in line with the flow of the story.
STRUCTURE
The structure of this installment fell in line with the other books and picked up right where Passion’s Prey ended. It flowed as well as a t.v. show’s episode. The book will keep readers turning pages and hating to get to the end. There are more secrets revealed in this segment that sets the stage for the next book. A true love story unfolds in the midst of potential exposure.
OVERALL
Shifter’s Claim was a hot, steamy and enthralling read. Ms. Arthur has done a great job with this series as that I am not an avid reader of paranormal stories. The Shadow Shifter series has proven it is not your typical paranormal romance. The characters are well crafted and the love interests are evenly matched. Readers will continue to fall in love with these characters and series and will not want it to end. Anxiously waiting on the next installment to see which shifter is next to fall in love.

Priya's brother has been kidnapped and she is being blackmailed to expose a secret about a powerful group of people. While researching them, she runs into Bas, a wealthy playboy who is part of the secret. They have an instant connection, but Bas will do anything to keep the secret of his shape-shifting people.
I don't like to give bad reviews, but I was not a fan of this book. I will try to make my review short since for the most part, it is so negative.
When I started the book, I had no idea that this was book four in a series. So i looked up the other books and they all were about other characters, so I thought that I would be ok reading this book as if it was a standalone story in an already created world. But to be honest, this book did not do well on it's own. I felt like I was in the middle of an event that never got resolved. It was so confusing to know who the bad guys were, who all the good guys were and what the heck was going on. There were seriously so many characters! I had a very hard time keeping them straight, that at one point I just stopped trying to figure out who everyone was and how they were connected. It just did not seem to matter anymore.
And the relationship between the two main characters did not really exist. They had a sexual connection, that was undeniable, but an actual relationship I never saw. There was one point where Bas was mad at Priya and told her she did not know him, and she responded that that was true. And that summed up their relationship. They never really talked, just had sex every chance they get. I kept waiting for them to get to know each other as people, but whatever.
And the sex. I am no prude, and I do enjoy a good sex scene in a book, but this book made me super uncomfortable. I like to read romances to make me feel hot and bothered, not icky and dirty. Every other page, Bas was freaking shoving one of his body parts into Priyas anus. Seriously, she barely knew him and he was inserting fingers and such into her butt! He promised her a world class massage one day and next thing she knew he was there shoving a finger into her anus. If someone did that to me, I would turn into a rage filled animal and go into destroy mode. What a way to ruin a massage. It really got to be too much for me, so I would just skip the sex scenes (which by the way were like every 2 pages) and try to get to some plot that actually made sense to me. So the scientist in me wanted to know if maybe it was a cat thing to want anal sex, since he said that he had urges, and animal instinct is to reproduce which in case you didn't know is vaginal only. I looked it up, and make cats only have anal sex when raping other male cats for dominance. So if that was his "urge", how romantic. He dominated her for sure.
Overall I did not like the book. I have no desire to read any more in this series and I don't think I will read anything else by this author. I am sure there are others who love this series and style, and more power to them.
I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Shifter’s Claim is an action packed paranormal romance full of intrigue and hot steamy scenes that lean more towards erotica.

I haven’t read the first three books in the Shadow Shifter’s series but I found I was able to catch up on the gist of the main storyline that connected Priya and Sebastian’s love story to the ongoing of a bigger plot line concerning the Shadow Shifter’s. The glossary of terms presented at the beginning of the book explain the terminology that is used by A.C. Arthur and throughout the book there are several references to how the Shadow Shifter ruling government works as well as what the rules and guidelines are that the shifters are expected to follow and live by. I plan on reading the previous books before I attempt to read book 5 in the series because there are some established couples in the book that piqued my interest.

Priya Drake is a beautiful, stubborn, intelligent and independent woman. She’s a journalist living in DC who has worked hard to rise above the poverty, abuse and addiction that has plagued her family. One night she witnesses something unusual and from that moment on she’s thrown into a dangerous situation where she is being blackmailed by an anonymous person or persons who want her to expose the shifters living amongst humans. While Priya starts digging into the Shifter world she finds herself caught up in a war between rogues and shadows. Despite the danger she’s determined to discover the truth in order to save herself and her family.

Sexy Alpha male jaguar shifter Sebastian “Bas” Perry isn’t going to make things easy for Priya. Publicly he’s known as the successful billionaire playboy who owns a thriving resort in Arizona but Bas is much more than the suave persona he portrays. He’s a Faction Leader for the shifters with a devastating past that has closed him off emotionally. His focus is on protecting his people and that means keeping the tenacious reporter from discovering the truth about the shifter’s who hide amongst humans but how far is he willing to go to stop Priya from writing the story of a lifetime. The animal inside of him wants to break free to claim her while the man he is fears he won’t ever be able to let her go and that’s a dangerous thing for a shifter who is bound by laws that prevent him from exposing himself to humans.

From the first moment Bas and Priya meet the sparks fly and the sexual connection between the two is off the charts. A.C. Arthur balances detailed plot development with a seductive intense romance. It’s a fast paced sensual ride with tons of action.

The heroine, a gusty smart and determined reporter is blackmailed by the people holding her brother hostage to uncover and exposed the true identity of the hero's people. She's been given 60 days to do this and she vows she'll do anything to save her brother’s life-even though he's a junkie and a thief-he was always there for her when she needed him most. But her plans are derailed when she meets the hero. He's aggressive, cocky and too damn rich and hansom for his own good. She knows his type. Billionaire playboy who can never understand the life she grew up in. At first, she's resentful of his wealth but drawn to him sexually. Then she follows him to his resort and, upon discovering the female in his place when the resort is under attack- kidnaps her and keep her in his room.

The hero, having lost a mate previously, has zero desire for another. And in fact, unlike most reluctant hero's this one is actually following through with his vow. He refuses to feel anything for the heroine besides the overwhelming sexual desire. He uses her body- taking every opportunity to use sex to throw her off her mission. And the heroine finds herself falling for him but knowing that he doesn't feel the same.

I was both uneasy about their dynamic but intrigued at the same time. First off, it was not a lovey romance. It was erotic at times and the hero was pretty heartless for most of the book. There were times where-reading as many romance novels as I do-that I started to predict his reactions to thing but found myself thrown off. He was certainly different. The heroine was your typical feisty reporter- annoying at times, stupid and bothersome at others. Mostly she did get on my nerves by I liked her devotion to her family-even though they are horribly dysfunctional. I liked that she wasn't just after the story for her career but was doing it for the sake of someone she loved. And I didn't like the fact that she allowed the hero to use sex to make her forget about her kidnapped brother. Overall, I thought this was a decent book. It was different from a lot of romance novels I've read and that was something that caught my eye.

Shifter’s Claim is my first introduction to the Shadow Shifters series. After finishing it, I immediately ran out and purchased the first three. This action pact, romance filled, thrilling story kept me turning page after page until the very end. Even if there were no paranormal elements in the story, it would still be a first class thriller.

Priya Drake is a journalist who happened to see something she should not have, something that she knows could not be true. Shifters live among us. After her encounter, she receives an email wanting her to continue digging into the story of shifters or her brother will lose his life. In keeping with the story against her editor’s wishes, Priya finds herself clashing with Sebastian (Bass) Perry. Bass does everything in his power to keep Priya from finding out the truth as well as protecting her from rogue shifters. Priya, being a strong willed, no nonsense type of person, finds herself in danger more than one time as she learns the truth. Her reliance on Bass becomes more apparent when she trusts him with the truth regarding her story. Eventually the chemistry between Priya and Drake helps heal each ones personal demons and brings them into uncharted territory….trust and love.

Shifter’s Claim is well written I could not put it down until the last page was read. The cohesiveness of all the stories made it a thrilling ride. The underlying story of rogue shifters smuggling and sell drugs, the connection to a government facility studying shifters, and the shifters political system add to the almost espionage like atmosphere. Even with the main story of the developing relationship between Priya and Bass, the twist and turns throughout kept me on the edge of my seat. A.C Arthur’s talent for writing is some of the best I have read this year. She is a tour de force and others should watch out for this shining star. I highly recommend Shifter’s Claim and suggest you run to your nearest bookstore for this phenomenal book.

Shifter’s Claim is the fourth book in The Shadow Shifters series and can be read as a stand-alone. I have read Ms. Arthur’s spin-off series of novellas, Shadow Shifters: Damaged Hearts, and was excited to get the opportunity to see what she could do within a full-length novel. Suffice it to say, she did not disappoint.

Priya is a journalist looking for a story … a story to confirm the existence of “cat people.” But she isn’t investigating the story to make a name for herself as a journalist. She is being blackmailed and her brother’s life is on the line. While she doesn’t actually believe in the existence of “cat people,” she was pointed in the direction of a specific individual. As she attempts to get closer to him during a fundraiser she is intercepted by Sebastian and her life takes an even more unexpected turn – she just doesn’t know it yet. The chemistry between Priya and Bas is primal … but we are dealing with shifter pheromones after all. Ms. Arthur has a knack for writing intense sex scenes that are raw and primal, thus making Bas and Priya’s immensely pleasurable.

There is a lot of action in this book as the rogues continue their attacks. The author provides bits and pieces of information for readers of the prior books in the series, but does so in such a way that readers who haven’t read books 1-3 yet aren’t lost. If anything, she has peaked my interest even more in the earlier books in the series and I suspect that I will be reading them sooner rather than later as I’m quite interested in the stories of some of the other characters. Shifter’s Claim is an action-packed paranormal romance with plenty of steam to keep you entertained. Ms. Arthur has definitely made a fan of me.

Shifter’s Claim is the 4th book in The Shadow Shifters series by A.C. Arthur. It is about Bas (Sebastian), one of the shifter faction leaders and Priya, a human reporter that is trying to prove that shifters exist. One thing I liked about this story is that Priya was honest from the get-go about being a reporter after a story, though she hid the reason why. She didn’t try to hide the fact that she was a reporter and I liked her more for that. When Bas and Priya meet they have an instant and intense attraction to one another. Though neither one of them is very happy about that fact. Bas is determined to stay away from her but at the same time he is driven to try and protect her. Priya is just as determined to get him to give her the story she needs.

I liked Shifter’s Claim and enjoyed the story. I felt it leaned heavily towards erotica and I would have liked to have seen more of an emotional connection between Priya and Bas. There was a definite physical connection and plenty of chemistry but their interactions were mainly about sex. Though in many ways it fit the story because Bas was trying to keep his distance, it just made his eventual declaration of love feel a little less genuine.

Shifter’s Claim is an erotic paranormal romance. There is intrigue, action, sex and romance. Secrets are revealed and enemies from the past reappear. Danger stalks the shadows and problems arise. The pace is fast and the temperature is hot. In the end there is a satisfactory conclusion and the stage is set for the next book, Hunger’s Mate, due out in 2015.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

While I haven't read all of this series, I think that it is easy enough to pick up at any point and catch up rather quickly. The shadow shifter world is a really unique and interesting combination of action/adventure and yummy romance. Oh, and it's also really hot and steamy.

Priya has made an appearance in other installments. She's seen little hints here and there about the shadow shifters and it made her the perfect target for blackmail in exchange for exposing these "cat people" to the world. This determined reporter has strong family ties that made it relatively easy for her to be manipulated and led her to a very sexy run-in with Bas. To the world, Bas is a womanizing millionaire playboy with a growing resort empore. His personal life revolves around being Faction Leader for his territory and trying to keep as isolated as possible. Some big mistakes in his past have left him with more than a few walls around his heart that he has very little desire to work on any time soon. Priya is the unpredictable element that throws all of his plans out the window. They crash into one another and, though they are both determined to fight it, find staying apart nearly impossible.

The chemistry between Bas and Priya scorches the pages of this book. When they come together, it's like fireworks going off. For me, it was the absolute perfect balance of sexy times and plot development. There were twists and turns, compromises and controversy, and really tough character choices. I can't wait to see where this series is headed next!

Although this the fourth book in the series, this is the first book that I have read and it can be read as a stand alone story. I will certainly be going out to get the other books in the series that I have missed so far.

The book is completely actioned packed and there are some seriously hot moments between Bas Perry and Pryia Drake. We get a good look at who Pryia is behind her facade and what made who she is total along with the background into what made Bas into the shifter that he is today.

Conspiracy plots, shootings, murder, love and more fill these pages along with revenge, drugs, betrayal and more.

Both find that they are attracted to each other from the beginning and Pryia who is a reporter is on this assignment only because her brother is in trouble. But nothing can stop either of them from getting what they want but each other, and when Bas's protective nature kicks in and he finds out the truth he helps Pryia in everyday he can, even when he know's what the consequences of his actions could be.

Of course we get a HEA in this story of a sorts, we also get a slight peak into what is going to happen in the next book in the series, and it looks just as exiting ass this one.

Shifter's Claim is not the first in this Shadows Shifters Series, just the first for me to read. It reads very well as a stand-alone but is intriguing enough to entice me to want to read the others including the novellas in the series. I enjoyed the cool sophisticated cat shifter, Sebastian Perry. He is very Cary Grant-ish which is a unique spin on shifters. I liked it. Priya is another complex character but equally strong and independent. They worked well as adversaries to lovers.

The story line is tightly written with political suspense as well as Shadow Shifter intrigue. These elements of the story are as strong as the romance, which I also like. While the romance does not have a cliffhanger, the big villain is lurking around but still a very satisfactory conclusion. Creative and imaginative.

My first read by A.C. Arthur but not my last.

Priya is a journalist who witnesses something one night that brings danger into her life. Someone is blackmailing her to get her to expose the shifters. Her investigation puts her right in the middle of a war between the rogues and shadows and she will have to find out what's really happening to save her family.

Bas is a shifter hiding behind his billionaire resort owner persona, but he's actually a leader for the shifters. He has to keep Priya from the truth which becomes difficult when all he wants to do is claim her for his own.

Bas is over the top hot and together with Priya they are scorching. They have such chemistry. Mix that with a whole lot of action and you've got me hooked. I loved this little taste of this series and can't wait to read more.

I give Shifter's Claim 4 hearts!

I read this as the installments that were released but this is the full story and I have to say I would think it would be best to read it in full. I read the installments back to back as if it was the full story so I was able to see how the breaks would be as I opened up the next part and I would have really hated having to wait.

I enjoyed the story of Priya and Bas. There is something that connects them right away. I enjoyed the suspense as well as the background story. I have not read the first three in the series but that did not take away from the story except making me realize I had missed some of the story.

If you are a fan of shape shifters then I think you will enjoy this story a lot.

I loved our first introductions to these characters, and Bas especially, "Bas, the smooth, cocky sonofab**** he was sometimes know as, only smiled. "No, this would be harassment," he told her a second before cupping her a** cheeks in his palms and lean forward to lick the seam of her lips." He does give his girl options which I'm sure we all appreciate, "now, I'll ask you one more time what you were doing here and you can either answer me -" he lowered his voice purposely, letting his finger glide over the spot on her collarbone he just lick seconds before - "or you can eff me. I'll let you make the choice." I'm really going to enjoy reading this series especially if all the men in the books are alpha men who take crap from no one.

From feisty report Priya Drake to the sexy alpha billionaire cat Sebastian Perry. We are put into a world of blackmail, rogue shifters, faction leaders wanting to keep shifters and humans apart, to break ins, black mail, betrayals, and going against rules that were always followed.

There are gun fights, hot sex, and sweet moments. It's amazing how much goes on in the books making you crave to turn the page. Priya's being blackmailed to report a story that could change everything. Bas is trying to protect everyone along with his other FL leaders from Rogues and humans alike who are out to destroy and reveal them.

What the two don't expect, is falling in love with each other and needing each other the way they do. It was a great book.

Bas is a multimillionaire playboy and shifter assembly Faction Leader who has lived his life by the credo that shifters must not be exposed to humans. Priya, a human reporter, once witnessed a partial shift, and is now being blackmailed to expose the truth about "cat-people" or her brother will be killed. Bas and Priya clash when Priya investigates the cat-people. She follows him to his resort in Arizona, where she's in danger of learning the truth and getting herself killed, getting caught in the middle of a drug war, and falling in love with a man who won't love her.

SHIFTER'S CLAIM is full of suspense, hot sex, and gut-wrenching emotions. Highly recommended.

I actually liked this one quite a lot. The porn was dialed back. It's still hot. This is still in the erotic genre more than romance but at least I didn't feel like it was getting tedious. Now if I could just order a dial back on all the anal play. I respect that it is hot for some out there but it's not my personal kink. Good job introducing Jewel too. We've been getting teased with Jewel for a while now and we're finally getting her book next. We know just enough about her to want to know more. I think that was really well done.

And the plot thickens...still INTRIGUED by the mysterious and DANGEROUS world of the Shadow Shifters...this was centered around the INTENSE and magnetic attraction between Sebastian and Priya...both are stubborn and DETERMINED to get what they WANT and NEED from the other no matter the cost/consequences...extremely HOT and explicit intimate encounters...and ENGAGING storyline w/entertaining and suspenseful twists/turns....COLORFUL and unforgettable cast of ever growing characters...I'm still held captive by this BIZARRE and dramatic paranormal romance series.

I felt a little lost a little more than half way in this book. I was loosing interest but finished it and enjoyed the finish. I felt there should have been more background reminding the reader of the previous storylines in earlier books because that's when I got lost. Just my opinion.

This one started slow for me... the characters took a little bit of time for me to get into, but once it picked up speed I really liked it. The plot was very interesting and I am glad that I kept going. Can't wait to see what happens next.

This is my favorite book of the series! Bas.....yassssssss! He handled his business! The book was FIRE! The chemistry between Bas and Priya was unparalleled......my goodness. Priya was annoying at time though. I wish she would sit herself down somewhere at times. Smoking hot read! Loved it.

I like this series and enjoy each book. I always find when I start a new book in this series the begining just doesn't hold my interest and I have to make myself keep reading. By the time I get 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through I am hooked and loving it again.
