I really like the cover art, it is what made me pick up the book at the library and actually consider reading it. As for the story, not so much. The concept is definetily something interesting. A police organisation, or something, that employs people who are assumed "dead" by the government. That sounds cool. But I feel like the book falls short.
There's something that I don't understand. Why was the character Jon allowed to go to a bar when he's officially dead? That risk someone recognizing him or worse take a picture. Which happened. I'm aware that no one can recognize them after they have been infected by the "ghost" virus. But it makes the premise of the organization less impactful. Especially when some outsiders know about such thing existing.
I also think that the villains, the mafia teens or whatever that was. Are not enough of a threat, it seems childish. But that could have been the point all along. What do I know. Considering that Jon was supposed to take it easy now that he has an apprentice.
The next point I'm about to make may just be a flop in translation. I read the manga in Swedish. The original language is Finnish, right? So the employed are called "ghost" in the swedish adaptation. HELLO, that's an english word. I know that some swedish words sound stupid, but mixing languages sounds even more stupid. They could have been called "fantomer" that sounds way cooler to me. That's just something that has bugged me.
It's not that bad, I'm just picky about what I like to read and I like to complain.
