Excellent ending to a very good series showing the growth of these four women and a friendship that becomes so strong that "sisters" is the only way to best describe it. Excellent work by the writing team in the progression of the lives of these four women. I agree that it is so well done that I feel that if I were to go up to Maine right now, then I could find their town.
This book is part of the Guidepost' series: Miracles of Marble Cove. A group of four friends of different ages: Diane, Margaret, Shelley and Beverly, become involved with mysteries as well as helping each other out. Beverly plays the main role in this book as she plans her wedding with the assistance of the other ladies in her group. Meanwhile, a new man in town, Noah Henry, is trying to find information about his grandfather, Elias Thorpe. Elias left Marble Cove, and the townspeople were sure he embezzled money from his job at the town quarry.
This is the last book in the series, and I really didn't feel the cozy mystery in this one. It was basically left unsolved. I did enjoy the secondary threads of Shelley's husband's possible job change and Beverly's fiance, Jeff's, photography trip a week before their wedding.
I’m sad to come to the end of the series, but happy for how everything turned out for these friends and the coastal town of Marble Cove. I really enjoyed this series. The authors did a wonderful job of infusing life into the characters. They really do seem like they could be my friends.
Beverly is mayor of Marble Cove and is getting married. Noah Henry comes back and saves the train station and will probably be staying in Marble Cove. Shelley accepts Rusty's offer to sell her the Cove. Margaret and Allan's plans for their trip to Paris are falling into place. Diane is cancer free.
