Systematic breakdown of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, both as a theoretical system—including a dissection on dialectical materialist epistemology and ontology—as well as the practical implications of such a philosophy on the analysis of history (i.e., historical materialism). A fascinating read, and great for those looking to get a thorough introduction into the subject, along with examples of how modern science fares alongside Marx-Engels’ dialectical metaphysics. Side note: very surprised with how borderline religious a lot of Marxist philosophy really is—including objective laws that govern reality, hard determinism based on such laws, an emphasis on apprehension and submission to said determinism, etc.
