The Ex Killer
Angela Gray tells the story of her family and friends as they live in a small town called Colum, Alabama. She has an older sister name Andrea, who is an alcoholic and abuses drugs. Andrea is also shacking up with their dead mother’s boyfriend. Angela’s younger sister, Olivia, has left town abruptly. Tanie, Angela’s lifelong best friend, is involved in known criminal activities, and her other girlfriend, Stephanie, is simply trying to get away from her crazed, drugged partner. Angela has her own problems, as well. She is trying to keep her job and she is also dodging an abusive ex-boyfriend, whose home from college for the summer. Angela simply wants something better in her life, anything that gets her away from the drama of her family, and she gets a chance when she meets Alex, the son of one of the wealthiest families in Colum. They date secretly. She falls in love, and soon finds herself trying to cling to their relationship in a community that forbids it. Great
I read The Deepest of all Sacrifices before I even knew about this book so I stopped that series to begin this one to see how it all started , and I wasn't disappointed. Angela had a hard life and after so many downfalls, she thought she found her happily ever after with Alex Westing. Keeping her relationship with Alex hidden from his family became a problem for both Angela and Alex but she was determined to make things work, but once she lost her job and started working with her best friend Tanie for the town's biggest drug dealer, all hell breaks loose. Can't wait to read the next book
