In The Big Book of Angel Tarot, best-selling authors Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine follow up their groundbreaking work Angel Tarot Cards with the definitive guide to the mystical art of tarot. By removing the fear, worry, and secrecy from the process, Doreen and Radleigh are reintroducing the world to this language of the Divine, without diminishing any of the amazing accuracy and detailed information that tarot is known for. In this fascinating book, Doreen and Radleigh take you card by card through the journey of The Dreamer in the Major Arcana, fully explaining all of the magical symbolism found throughout tarot. You’ll understand the importance of each suit of the Minor Arcana and its relevance to your daily life, as well as develop a firm grasp of the court cards by getting to know each and every one as if they’re real people. Doreen and Radleigh will give you a clear understanding of the incredible insight into your life and concerns that arises from various card spreads—while also teaching you how to create your own!
If you have Radleigh's Angel Tarot Card deck this is a perfect fit for it. I appreciate the simple format of this text as it lists the meaning, definition, symbolism and astrological correspondences. If you do not know the concept of angels or adhere to a concept of a source/creator, Radleigh's works are not for you. If you understand what LWB is for tarot decks, you can see this as its name implies The Big Book of his deck.

Review:
*I received a copy of this book from the HayHouse Book Nook in return for a fair and honest review*
The book is fascinating and I am really taking my time going through it due to the fact that I have always owned and been interested in Tarot.
Their take on this taboo subject is amazing and a great way to bring such a taboo thing out from scary image it has acquired and not a thing to engage in, but a way to bring the true meaning of what tarot is about. I was astonished to learn that Tarot was actually created as a game meant for families to play together after dinner.
Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine give a whole new world into understanding and a new perspective to reading tarot cards. It was enlightening to read the background into the history of tarot and how it evolved throughout time and cultures.
They take you through each Major and Minor Arcana, making a clear understanding to each card. The history of tarot, the symbology, and the detailed explanation of each card, are very helpful in understanding the Hero's Journey in our life as humans, for both a beginner tarot reader as well as a more experianced one.
The cards are beautifully illustrated and reimagines the traditional Tarot imagery. The book delves deeper into the meaning of the cards. There are in-depth interpretations of the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. This book gives you the the card name and a brief general meaning, the place of the dreamer on his journey (major arcana), the symbolism for the card, the angel, the angel number, and people (for the court cards), and the numerical astrology.
As they take you on a drive through the Dreamer’s Journey cards, you will be drawn into each card, as it is filled with symbolism, Archangels, angel number, astrology, to better read what the card is telling you. I loved how they explained every card in full spiritual detail and their meanings. They even detailed the changes that were made to take out the fear of old world tarot reading.
This system of reading is a blend of traditional tarot reading and AngelTherapy, it won’t work for everyone but if you truly are sensitive to the images of traditional tarot decks or feel that tarot cards are dark and disturbing this is a great way to get the benefits of tarot without any negative associations you may have formed.
There was a definite need for this type of deck and book since it’s so popular. This book is informative-even if you already know how to read tarot you will find interesting information here. Traditional tarot doesn't include Angel Numbers and Archangles. Not only are the meanings of the cards given in the book but also the symbolism, Angel number and astrology aspect as well.
This book is a real deep dive in to the Angel Tarot in general, but also advanced symbolism for this particular deck. However Radleigh shares with us the theory behind his symbology, so you can use that throughout the rest of his many beautiful decks.
I'm a Certified Angel Tarot Reader, Radleighs course through Hayhouse. This is the ideal accompaniment to that course, and I feel like anyone who is either interested with tarot in general, or more specifically Angel Tarot will absolutely love this book.
Theres no other author quite like Radleigh, he has a very particular sense of humour, and always brings lightness and joy to his writing. I also love his book How To Be Your Own Genie, which is one of my all time favourite non fiction books that I recommend to everyone.
This book is a good and essential addition to the Angel Tarot Cards from Doreen Virtue und Radleigh Valentine. I gained deeper insight and more information of the symbols of the cards which helped me to get a better understanding of my deck.
Um livro muito útil para quem trabalha com tarot dos Anjos ou para quem simplesmente tem curiosidade. Dá uma visão geral de cada uma das cartas, a simbologia, a numerologia angélica associada, a astrologia que se aplica...
Really easy book to read (although it took me a while). I sat with the individual card and read along with it and studied the card as I was reading. It's also a great book as a resource.
I thought I knew everything there was to know about performing a tarot reading, until I bought this book. I always enjoy Doreen Virtue books but this one really delves into the meaning of each card, different styles of readings and how they should be displayed, as well as a little history on tarot readings.
I really enjoyed that she specifically covered a deck of cards that I have, Angel Tarot Cards. It's a big deck, bigger than most, and this book covers how to style your cards based on questions or concerns, a specific reading for your career or business, and how to get a yes or no answer.
It was an easy read and have got a lot of use out of it, as it something you put into practice daily. Highly recommend this book and the Angel Tarot Cards deck!
I don't recommend this book for anyone who does not have the Angel Tarot Cards, but for anyone who does - this is the book you need to complement your readings.
There is a book that comes with the cards, but it is no way as detailed as this. In this book you will find things like numerology, astrology, symbols, and meanings related to the cards. In the Major Acrcana, there is a section on angels as well as what the card means in the dreamer's journey.
I found the cards help me to read a spread much better than before, and while there is not much to it other than a chapter on making spreads and a detailed description of each card, it is a must if you own the Angel Tarot Cards.
As always Radleigh helps us to understand in a very easy manner those topics that are spoken of in the shadows. For those of us who feel drawn to explore our spiritual beliefs and having access to different forms of thinking and in this case to the power of tarot and oracle cards, this book is a perfect guide to understand more the symbolism and logic of a pretty ancient spiritual tool. What I love the most about Rad’s approach is that he removes that scary veil that surrounds tarot, and he provides all the cards, meanings and symbols with a light that even when the meaning is associated to a challenging situation is given with love.
This is an excellent companion book for Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot deck coauthored with Radleigh Valentine who is a Tarot expert. They collaborated with creating a genuine tarot deck re-imagined and re-designed as a special deck representing the Archangels. The tarot deck comes with a small booklet but The Big Book of Angel Tarot provides more in-depth information about each of the cards which I found to be more informative than the mini-booklet. I use it as a reference book when I conduct my own readings with the Angel Tarot.
I have picked up my former interest in cartomancy, and one of the decks I bought is Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot. The little guide that comes with it is great, but the expanded information in this book really brings the interpretations home. Not only is the symbology reviewed, but also the numerology and astrology attached to each card. Highly recommended for those who are using the Angel Tarot deck.
