When Robert’s illness struck, everything changed. The loss of her high school sweetheart left a hole in Juliana’s heart that transformed the outgoing and compassionate woman into a shell of grief and pain. Their home, once filled with laughter and love from their foster children, became cold and empty.
But after a search through his old belongings unearths Robert’s secret dream, Juliana is infused with a newfound sense of purpose that drags her out of her sorrow. Determined to finish her husband’s work, she and her “perfect” – yet estranged – sister embark on a turbulent and emotional adventure to build his dream house.
Faced with roadblocks, troublesome contractors, and unspoken family drama that threatens life-changing consequences, Juliana pours her soul into realizing Robert’s last wish. With an unlikely new friendship blossoming between her and the architect Ezra, can Juliana embrace her new purpose and find a new direction in life? Or will the pressure cause her to retreat back into her shell?
Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
This remains a great story! Now we are peeling back layers, and Juliana’s husband had some of his own secrets. Hilary has also begun to reveal a little of what she’s been hiding. The two sisters are now united towards a common goal.
I’m looking forward to the next part. Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.
I beginning to like this series. I didn’t like it too much at first with Juliana hiding from life like she was & not seeing anyone, just holding up in her house & more or less just existing one day at a time since her husband Robert died. Since her sister surprisingly showed up she has come out some & beginning to show some signs of life. They’ve got some projects going that is help Juliana to be able to carry out the dream it seem that Robert had & has now become the dream for Juliana. It is want has saved her life or brought her back to life. She is excited about the this endeavor & hope that they will be able to carry it out in Robert’s memory. It’s nice to see Juliana excited about something again and to see her sister & her evolved in something together when they haven’t seen each other in over 10 years. Hilary finally confess what is going on with her & cleared the air so now they are getting along a lot better. Looking forward to book 4!
I got this ARC Book for free and am giving my review for free and in my own words.
With the help of her sister Hillary, Juliana continues to move forward after her husband’s sudden death. In book three of the series we learn whether she will keep the surprise gift of ocean front property or sell to the highest bidder. Read on to find out. It’s worth it! I received a free copy for a voluntary review.
Hilary and Juliana find a design for a house when they go through Robert’s things. Juliana decides to go through with a plan to build the house as a place for foster children. The sister duo comes up with the idea for a gala fundraiser to offset the costs. Hilary reveals some of her motivation for the visit.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
This is another great read by Grace Meyers. The story progresses with the two sisters working on their relationship and opening wounds from the past to get answers to many questions. Throw in a good cause to get behind and the story takes on some interesting vibes. I was given this advanced reader copy by the author and I am freely sharing my review.
Really good book. Lots of secrets revealed in this one. Is it too much for Juliana to handle or is this just what she needs to help her move forward? Pick up this book & the first two and see how it all plays out. I can’t wait for book four!
I’m so looking forward to finding out if the gala works out as planned. Then enough money is raised to build the house for the foster children in the rescue animals.
Juliana discovers that her dead husband, Robert, had secretly bought land and had plans drawn up for the dream home for foster children and an animal rescue. Although Juliana feels pressure to sell to neighboring resorts, she decides to fulfill Robert’s dream. The real challenge will be the funding of the project. Thank you to the author for the ARC. This review is my own opinion.
