Parents will find this an excellent book to read to small children, at bedtime or anytime! Children in the lower grades will be able to read the stories for themselves, and will find that the children in these pages have the same problems and pleasures they have.
This book along with the others in the series (wisdom and the Millers and Prudence and the Millers) were wonderful. These are great read alouds for children. They teach morals through wonderful stories of life in the Miller family.
Personally, I love this series for supporting the morals I am teaching in the home. It is from a very fundamental (Mennonite) way of thinking, if that offends you. I adore them.
I read this book when I was 8 years old. My Mom has also read this series out loud to us, reading a chapter each night to go along with our family devotions.
Ellie rated this book 5 stars, Jacob 3 stars---he liked the Proverb's with the Miller book better but is still looking forward to reading more of these books.
