3 SLIGHTLY PATHETIC STARS
“Yes, yes I love you Marc.”
"I’m going to breed you Nat.”
For me, the heroine was just so pathetically in love with the hero that it actually made me slightly ill.
I can admit to being very old fashion in regards to my romance/erotica books and I like it when the hero does the chasing.
In this book, this heroine was so obviously begging for his love and affection that it was disturbing.
She kept telling him over and over how much she loved him and has always loved him.
HER DESPERATION FOR HIS ATTENTION AND AFFECTION WAS JUST SO DISAPPOINTING!
She admitted to him,
"I had always planned to stay to be close to you. I know it was wrong to be in love with you I’m sorry I would never have done anything about it I swear but I couldn’t bear the thought of never seeing you I’m sorry.”
Where is your self respect WOMAN?
Must you act this pathetic!
Other than this issue, this book was pretty good. I did enjoy their breeding sex.
IT WAS SMOKING HOT!
The hero does fall for her and he does tell her so but he was clearly the one making the decision in their relationship.
But she was okay with that.
I guess, she was just so happy to be with him that small issues like free choice and freedom of expression, could be overlooked.
Even at the end he took matters in his own hands when he did this,
Three months later when she was leaning over the toilet throwing up I had to come clean about poking holes in her diaphragm.
I guess whatever he said goes!
Oh well, I really don't understand these types of Dom/sub relationships.
However, I wouldn't recommend this book because honestly as it had too many errors in it. Just stupid mistakes that my 10 year old daughter could have picked up. Sometimes the sentence didn't even make sense!
Also, with the hero being abusive towards the heroine with the discipline using the belt, this makes it very hard for me to recommend to anyone.
Those are the things that I found hard to digest about this book.
Personally, I was bothered by it but I was more bothered by the pathetic heroine than anything else.
This is how I saw it.

Safety: hero was married and slept around after his divorce, heroine was a virgin, no OW/OM drama, no cheating, no condoms or mention of them.

HOT. HOT. AND SWEET. Jordan Silver never ceases to surprise me. She really knew how to keep her readers interested, hot, and wanting more.
At first, I was like "What the heck? That's incest!" although they were not really related by blood, it's pretty awkward and weird since he practically watched her/seen her grew up.
So if you're in Marc's shoes, what will you do if your ex-sis-in-law, the woman who practically raised/mothered the girl/woman you're lusting after, giving you the go-ahead to go after her?
You can guess where the story goes, but honestly, it played out better than I expected.

Seriously, horny and hot. Which could be the way the two of them should be labeled. It was a quick read but a really enjoyable one. I'm so glad it was out there on the free list. One of the few books that was simply a joy to read, no head games, no confusion, it was just orchestrated the sexiest way, by consenting adults.

Ummmm this was a big ol hot mess! To me it was a really bad porno! The "Love" was no where near even believable and neither was the story. All of a sudden he just had to get her pregnant. Ummm ok! Either this guy is a little sicker than he is letting on or they are really reaching with this one. This book was not for me sorry.

I guess this is one story I got but never read. I'm glad I read it. A short and quick read. It was Insta love on Marc's part. And I'm glad it wasn't an uncle and niece romance. So cool to have her parents on board. I do love Ms. Jordan's stories. This will of course be a reread on down the line.

I thought it was cute the way her mom and dad were in on her feelings from the start. It was different with her doing the chasing and Dalton being gun-shy after being cheated on and divorced. I liked the epilogue with their kids.
