You Are Mine is the second book in the FOREVER series by Alla Kar bestselling author of Make Me Yours - a sexy new adult romance about letting go of your past and embracing your future.
I want to thank everyone that's read my work. Whether it be good reviews or bad reviews, I'm thankful for the feedback either way!
I love Taylor and Layla's story. I've had this in my head for over a year to write, and I finally sat down one day and just wrote it. It's been a fun experience. I'm also adding another book after this one, and it will be the final one. Due to request and my own personal goals, I'm thrilled to announce FOREVER YOURS will be out in late 2013!
Thank you all once again for reading! You're the reason I keep writing!
You Are Mine picks up right where Make Me Yours ends and that is something I definitely appreciate since this story did not really develop until the very end of Make Me Yours. As I said before, this is really a simple story, written more like "kids" in high school as opposed to young adults. I find Layla to be horribly immature and I think that she seriously overreacts about developing relationships with people. Sure, someone wants to kill her - I get that, but allowing her father's rules to completely cripple her life is annoying. That said, once you get into You Are Mine and the story is more developed it's easier to gloss over Layla's ridiculousness. Both Layla and Taylor had horrible childhoods and I appreciate that, though Taylor sort of followed his father's footsteps, he is bound and determined not to be his father. I love that he is so romantic and sexy. The book does draw you in (eventually) and if you can get over your desire to slap Layla - you can relax into the book and shut out the world around you, which is the reason I read.
Sweet and simple. There were some pleasant surprises and I really liked Damon's part in this. I really liked him, I'm sad because of his situation but it's okay. We all know Layla and Taylor are meant to be together. The ending to this made me so happy, I was tearing up. To keep it brief, I definitely liked this book more than the first. Layla and Taylor are hunted by a killer and he's not stopping until he gets them both killed. The couple are struggling as they hide and afraid of what will happen. New character was introduced (Damon) he's a mysterious guy but I know for sure that he likes Layla, Taylor wanted to punch the crap out of him and it's kinda cute. lol! Layla was also introduced to Taylor family and they we're getting serious which u know ends with marriage XD

I enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. The writing in this book was no better than the last one, I think my Kindergarten class could have edited it better! I love Taylor and Layla. I am looking forward to the 3rd book but I hope that Alla Kar gets a better editor!
A big thanks to Swoon Romance for this! For taking my books and making it better! For giving me paperback. For giving it an amazing cover! And for taking a chance with it!
If I could bitchslap Layla I would. She was really naive in this book! Come on Damon was totally stalking her and she didn't think it was weird. Maybe she likes the attention!? At the end of the book I honestly felt like Taylor deserved better.
So, I'm a huge fan of Alla Kar. I know her personally, so I know the work she puts into her novels.
I love Taylor Jacks so much. I don't think she could have done a better job showing both sides of him in this novel. We got a chance to look through his eyes, which I LOVED in this book. In my opinion, since there had been some people that didn't like Layla in the first one, I have to disagree. She put herself before her friends and that makes a true hero.
The action in this book was a lot better in YOU ARE MINE, and it drew me into the novel even more.
I really liked this book and its story line. I think it was a good continuation of the first book. The book had a couple of glaringly obvious grammar/spelling errors that were annoying, at least they were annoying to me. Barley is a food, barely means almost. Also the use of is/are. Sort of spoiler follows:
And my final issue - Tiffany's boxes are blue. Not red. Never red. There is an entire color blue "Tiffany's blue" based on the Tiffany's box.
This book carries on from book 1, same characters but a just as awesome story line. the writer has had done a wonderful, job writing the second part of the story, the characters are just right, nice flow to the story line, and well written. . There was no cliff hangers at the end of story. More exciting is what's going to happen next?? I can't wait for the 3rd book.
It took awhile for me to remember Taylor and Layla's story because I read the first book a long time ago. The second book was short but good and there is a third one coming out and I am not sure what that book will entail because the man chasing Layla has been taken care of and Layla ended up with the man of her dreams.

There are still technical problems with the writing, but the story is solid. Their love is strong and think and thin they are there for each other. Loved it. I thought it was the HEA until I saw the "to be continued"
This book lack the wow factor. The story spans across 2 badly edited books. It would have been better to have one book. The story is complete for me so I have no intention of reading the 3rd installment.
Still lack of something Drama The drama's there When taylor thought that he failed her I'm perfectly sure the other book tell story about how taylor think that he doesn't deserve someone like layla Layla better off with damon -_- Gah
I'm giving this book 4 stars ONLY because I enjoyed the story. There are so many spelling errors and grammatical errors that it appears as though this book was never edited prior to release.
