A significant contribution to the field, and a welcome addition to the growing literature on international environmental law and an important reference for every scholar, lawyer, and layperson interested in the field.
I would give this text 3.5 stars if I could because there is a wealth of information. It often reads like a laundry list of laws, though, which can be challenging to process. The index is the worst I have ever seen in a textbook. Considering how much info is in the book, I'm assuming it would take a solid effort to establish a decent index, but when protocols, conferences and other key aspects of international environmental law are cited repeatedly throughout the book but do not even appear in the index, it makes it even harder to use as a resource.
