Brielle Michaels has spent most of her adult life immersed in running her company, but when a new lucrative government contract is up for approval, she learns that there’s another offer on the table. Brielle has been chosen by Project Eve to be a recruit for its Destination arm. Project Eve pairs compatible women with aliens from distant planets to further their cause of solidifying intergalactic expansion. Brielle is paired with Lord Nasere Sulani, a gorgeous, golden-eyed, and growling alien from the planet Sefer. Like Brielle, Lord Sulani has been mostly focused on his work as a lord, keeping lands and overseeing lucrative mines responsible for extracting precious stones. Unfortunately, a vicious monster is wreaking havoc around Lord Sulani’s mines. This vicious monster not only threatens the lord’s business but also threatens lives. When another threat enters the lord’s life, he’s unprepared. Commerce has always been his chief concern, but now he’s highly concerned with the human who causes him to purr.
Brielle’s concerns are shifted, too, as she confronts her attraction to an alien and the promise she will either keep or break.
This story was a joy to read. I think what I really like about Ms. O’Hare’s alien characters is they are never the same. They are always surprised at what they find out about themselves in their response to their human counterparts. I fell in love with Nasere. I felt like I needed my own Nasere. Even though Brielle gave that (no personality) Debra a hard time I thought that was funny.😆 It ended up being the best thing to happen to her. Nasere and Brielle were a passionate, sizzling, spicy and sexy couple.🌶️🌶️🔥🔥💯 I really loved the problem that dominated Nasere business. The twisted mystery was awesome.🧐 I’m looking forward to your other books. Thank you Ms. O’Hare.
Brielle was looking for a break to help her company, only to end up with Project Eve. Nasere needs Project to work, but is surprised at how much he likes Brielle. Can these two make their pairing work?
I feel like the difference between this book and the one before it is night and day. I appreciated the return of Curtis Johnson and seeing male humans with female aliens (even though it wasn’t technically part of Project Eve). The story is good enough for the timing not to be a problem.
If you like smut, wild reveals, stories about empathy prevailing over capitalism, this is for you.
Damn I would have been pregnant on the first day there. Is there a book three? My goodness this was spicy 🥵. I’m very curious about the mystery alien she saw. What’s his story?
Nasere was put through so much & Brielle was his happiness! Still did not understand or trust Relani or Curtis. Wish we would have known what baby would look like 😍😍
I enjoyed this book and appreciate the shock effects of getting the knowledge of aliens and the governments use of "special" African American women with the right gene to mix and match for the future.
