Data management has become an essential requirement for information professionals. This title defines what is required to achieve a culture of effective data management offering advice on the skills required, legal and contractual obligations, strategies and management plans and the data management infrastructure of specialists and services.
This book was interesting and definitely provided some interesting concepts to consider. Most of the examples are from European Countries, however, and that made figuring out how it could relate to the US a bit difficult for me. Perhaps, if I had more experience, this would not make such a difference.
This is a great book with relevance to many types of research organization. If you are in academic libraries you probably should read this book. I'm just in a research environment and took lots of notes!
