I wasn’t a fan of this book. It was a short clean very religious story. I didn’t feel that this was a love story. I also didn’t like all of the religious talk in this book.
A woman named Treva Jordan inherits her beloved aunt’s house in Bristol, Rhode Island. It becomes her summer project. Treva plans to sell the house. A fire erupts the first night followed by other mysterious incidents. She wonders if someone is trying to frighten her into leaving. There is a guy named Tank LaFrenz has been asking God to send him the right woman. He sees Treva at a friend’s wedding. Can he convince her that he’s not trying to harm her. I wish this story was more about the incidents happening at the house. This could have been a love story without all of the religious references mentioned in the story. I just couldn’t enjoy this book for that reason. I also felt that there wasn’t any 4th of July celebrations in this book. The title of this book was deceiving.
