The papers in this volume were given at an international Symposium held in June 1974 in New York City, at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine. The Symposium represents a joint effort by Jews and Christians to confront the Holocaust, in open exchange. It is mult-disciplinary in approach. Historians, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers, theologians, poets, and mystics -- all attempt to approach the event from their perspective.
