Book two in this wonderful series and from the first meeting of Alexandra (Sasha) and Rafael you just know that this one is going to sizzle with sensuality and emotions, two people who had so much in their pasts, can they get over it all to find love and happiness?

Marrying Rafael for Sasha was to escape her step-father and mother’s control over her, love was never in the plan this was a marriage to help them both and of course the sizzle between them was such an added bonus, but Sasha would love to have a baby but that was not going the way she planned, so when someone from Sasha’s past walks into her life and offers to be surrogate, they accept.

Rafael is happy for them to have a baby using a surrogate but for some reason he is suspicious of the way Sasha and Molly connect, and when a business deal is not going the way he planned and Sasha makes an announcement that shocks him, the connection between them seems to be pulling them apart, then an accident causes even more problems.

Will this child bring them together or tear them apart, can the walls around Rafael’s heart be broken down and will they find the love they truly deserve? So many secrets to be spoken about first I think.

I loved this one, such wonderful characters and the settings are gorgeous and the emotion and sensuality are so strong throughout the story, I do highly recommend this one to any romance reader you are sure to be turning the pages and left smiling. Another keeper from Dani Collins

It would’ve been a solid 5🌟if the heroine’s actions hadn’t spoiled the book for me. I just wish she was a little more considerate where hero was concerned. Now Rafael, I loved that man!

Very dramatic

This is the second book in the series and it was filled with drama and angst. The h had a child at 16 which she gave up for adoption to her friend’s mother, she never got over it. She put on a show as a selfish, spoiled heiress to cope with her pain. Her parents were awful especially the stepfather. The H had his own trauma from childhood. They married to help each other, she withheld a lot of information from him about their surrogate. There was so much pain and trauma. They were able to find their way back to each other and have their HEA. Great epilogue.

When Sasha meets Rafael Zamos at a party, she has a fling with him just to make her stepfather’s mad. Of course the chemistry is off the charts so it was no hardship for her. She marries Rafael to escape her stepfather’s control and a fiancé she doesn’t want to marry. The business arrangement they made works well for Sasha and Rafael. Neither of them know each other’s past. Rafael had a hard life and did things he would rather forget. Sasha also had a bad childhood even though everyone thinks she’s just a spoiled brat. Nothing could be farher from the truth. Now Rafael is ready for an heir. Sasha agrees but will her secret be revealed? She can’t get pregnant so is she being punished for her past? Will she tell Rafael her secret? She kept the secret to protect people. Will Rafael forgive her? Will her stepfather find out? He would use it to hurt her and Rafael. Sometimes it’s good that secrets are revealed. The characters are wonderful. They don’t trust easily, they don’t know how to love, but they both deserve happiness together. Will they have a baby? Will they get their happily ever after? Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily

This is how you write a modern HP. Brava! I normally don't enjoy marriage in crisis stories because it's too focused on the problems and not enough on the falling in love bit but this book is the perfect blend of past and present and it also features some of my favorite tropes: MOC, fake amnesia, baby, perilous incident that makes the MCs rethink things in life, etc. This book packs a punch.

I felt like I was on a rollercoaster of emotions with this book and felt so deeply with Sasha. Her stress became my stress. Her fears became my fears. (I recall not having the best impression of Sasha from the first book in this series but she's a great heroine.) Rafael was a good hero as well. Their meet cute was sexy. Their marriage was sexy...until it wasn't. But overall, I enjoyed their backstories, their personalities, and their dynamic pairing as a couple. I seriously love this book. It's one of my favorite Harlequin Presents ever.

Secrets and lies are unraveling as passion ignites in Book 2 of Dani Collins' Bound by a Surrogate duet! I highly recommend you read the first book in this duet first before diving into this one because I believe you will get more enjoyment and understand Sasha much better if you hear her background first in Molly's story. Having said this, I read the first one so I was familiar with the past and was able to pick up on Sasha's history quickly and understand her reasoning from the start. I enjoyed getting to know her and Rafael better and watching their relationship grow after overcoming their adversities. Great characters, a really enjoyable duet of two intertwined stories and much love in the end. Really enjoyed!

I highly recommend this book as a follow up to the first in the series The Baby His Secretary Carries.

I enjoyed reading this story! Love how strong Sasha is and how much she deals with in her past and hides it well even after marrying Rafael. Love how even though Rafael has a lot to deal with from his past he hides it from Sasha. So much happens that drew me in to keep reading to find out how they deal with the problems in the present and still have to deal with what happened in the past to them. Love how this story ends!

DNF. They meet for the first time and after seemingly a few minutes she leaves with him for his hotel penthouse and they do the deed, without them even knowing each other’s first names before doing it..

Not the type of HP I like. Explicit sex scenes, but I don’t care for that. I look for romantic scenes in a HP. I miss the vintage HP’s.

Anyway, the h slept with a married man when she was 16. She knew he was married.

All is not happy with Sasha not being able to get pregnant, but their story and past need to be confronted before they get their happily ever after.

Unexpectedly good for a genre romance. In fact, darn good. Marriage of convenience to love match - my favorite trope. Ms. Collins gave the MCs some great dialogue that really showed who they were (instead of just telling). And turns out they are two individual, specific, real-seeming rich people.
I will look for more from this author.

What an incredible way of starting a marriage. Both Rafael and Sasha knew from the start that love was not part of this relationship. As they spent more time together and then were trying for a child their true feelings were exposed and they found their happily ever after.

I loved this book, it was so refreshingly different from other Harlequins I've read. Dani Collins is an auto read anyway, but this is my favorite so far. It just felt so different than the usual Poor Little Virgin gets bulldozed by Big Strong Asshole stories. Alexandra is a fleshed out, three dimensional FMC and Rafeal is actually capable of growth. I actually buy his change of behavior in the end. All that, and fertility struggles? Which I've never read in a Harlequin. AND the FMC didn't magically get pregnant in the epilogue? I see a lot of people rated this lower but honesty, I wouldn't change anything. I loved this book.
