My notes :)
• What would your higher self, your enlightened self, advise you? Use this question to tap into your sacred self.
• If one focuses only on the journey's end, completion always appears in the distance. This leads many to abandon their goals when obstacles arise, or when the path grows steep, you know that every journey begins with a single step, but you must also take a second step, and a third, and as many as necessary. The law of process is nature's assurance that we can achieve essentially any goal, no matter how lofty, by breaking it down into small sure steps. This may seem obvious but most overlook it.
...
This reminds me of Andrew Hubermans reminder to focus on each step, make a goal out of each step, and mentally reward yourself for each reminding yourself of where those steps will lead you.
• A vision that inspires you will pull you like a magnet towards it. Choose a goal that shines for you. You don't discover it waiting for divine revelation. Go towards what attracts, excites, or in inspires you. Go towards what touches your heart. Ask yourself what's worth the effort in the sacrifices that come with the commitment to any goal.
...
Once you figure out this, the larger vision, the direction you want to go or the land you wish to arrive at, then break down the journey into a process of numerous steps.
• "Few things are certain in this world, but people rarely ever fail, they only stop trying."
...
Be fluid like water. Keep flowing. Water can carve paths through even stone.
• Focus on taking life one step at a time until you get it right. When patience and discipline join forces, they become a persistence that ensures past the peaks and valleys, to carry intentions to completion. Enthusiasm sets the pace, but persistence reaches the goal. Process, patience, and persistence are the keys that unlock the doorway to any destination.
...
Don't forget though, the process is a fruit in and of itself. That said, the process or journey is much more enjoyable when you know you're going the right way.
• Law of Presence - time is a convention of thought and language, a social agreement. Regrets of the past are sense impressions now. Anxieties of the future have no reality outside of the mind right now. Your ability to pull back your attention to the present improves with practice. Stop letting problems live your head. Concerns of the past and future are like delusions in the head of a crazy man, with no reality outside hallucinations.
...
When you establish peace by accepting and living the reality of the present moment being all that is, then equilibrium will be established within you, and you will attain more free will over your thoughts. Then instead of being at the mercy of the weather of the mind, the flow of random and often toxic or unconstructive thoughts, instead you will be peacefully present and there will be silence in the mind unless you choose to think, and because peace is the baseline, a solid foundation, then the thoughts you think intentionally will be constructive, production, and pleasurable in nature.
• Have faith that all the decisions you make are the correct ones, that will lead you to your enlightenment, even if the results aren't immediately desirable. Believe this and it will be.
• What you see depends upon where you choose to look, and where you choose to look depends upon what you expect to see.
• We are all one organism. One mind. Unity and oneness are available to all, one must simply let go of the illusion of seperateness. This can be glimpsed when ultimately present with someone, when the boundaries between you dissolve, and all that's left is consciousness. When being with them is the same as being alone. Both the same source through different eyes... This reminds me of that experience on the Sturgeon Supermoon trip, where L and I meditated looking into one anothers eyes. Boundaries were gone - boundaries are those which make you self conscious in others presence, which makes you fear what they think of you, how they see you, that makes you fear judgement and that makes you judge, that identifies with and sees only flesh, not spirit. Those were gone briefly that day. It's in that state where we feel at home in the universe.
