Seriously dated in appearance, and not really the best if you are looking for Paleo recipes, this is still a wonderful book. Divided into Early, Peak, and Late Season produce, this is an easy tool for locating recipes for what is likely to be at your local Farmers' Market.
This very hard to find edition is one of my all-time favorite cookbooks. Taking you through all the vegetables that are in season from spring to winter, this book has recipes for everyone. The Blueberry Buckle Coffee Cake is what my husband asked for as his birthday cake this year. The Peach & Berry Cobbler is wonderful. Garlic mashed potatoes are easy and heavenly. Truly, I've liked almost every recipe I've tried in here.
If you want to return to a more organic way of life, this is for you. If you have no idea what to do with huckleberries in season or how to cook parsnips or any other off-the-beaten-path fruit or veggie, this cookbook will be a great guidebook through your local produce market. It's also great for cooking for vegetarians or vegans!
