George A. Bournoutian provides a thorough account of Armenia's long and complex history. His explanations are easy to understand and not complex. Allowing readers not familiar with this region to delve deeper into the past of the people of Armenia. Although maps are provided in the book, it would be beneficial for the maps to be located on or near the pages where those regions are discussed. This would allow for easier cross-reference.

Just finished reading George Bournoutian's "A Concise History of the Armenian People." It's always good to read, and be refreshed by, the tragic yet rich, ancient and proud heritage of my people.
