A difficult slog - but this is a psych assessment textbook so no surprise there. I actually hoped that Jack would insert some of his witty dialogue into the book, but he stuck to the technicals.

Still, while not a fun read by any measure, it was really useful to help me understand PASS Theory. While the book is dry, the CAS-2 itself is a good test. I’ve avoided it in my career, but the three times that I administered it this school year resulted in excellent information. Honestly, I think it’s likely the best cog test when you’re looking at executive dysfunction/ADHD due to the direct measures of Planning and Attention. I’ll likely use it more often in my practice from now on, but I still won’t give up my WJ-Cog until the pry it from my cold dead fingers.
