The SAP ABAP Advanced Cookbook is a helpful, easy to read guide that should be mandatory reading for all SAP users. The book includes 15 well-written, well-researched and highly informative chapters that range in topics from ABAP objects to working with SQL Trace to outlining various ALV tricks. The breadth of information covered within this book is impressive and each chapter logically flows into the next, which provides the reader with a sound resource that will be consulted again and again. I found this book to be clear and concise; even if you only have a basic understanding of ABAP, this guide is easy to follow and immensely informative.

I appreciated the helpful screenshots throughout the book that clearly illustrated what the author was describing. The layout of the text and images makes this book uncomplicated and a pleasure to consult. For a book that covers so much complex information, it was surprisingly easy to find my way around and quickly locate the information that I needed. The SAP ABAP Advanced Cookbook should be your go-to for everything related to SAP ABAP. I highly recommend it.

SAP ABAP Advanced Coockbook is now my favorite SAP ABAP Book.
Is clear that the author, Rehan Zaidi, is a very experienced ABAP Programmer and also is very skillful in writing and educate other.
I though I was a ok ABAP Programmer my self, before reading the book. But I had learned so much by reading the book.
Especially I can recommend the chapters about Optimizing the Programs and the Selection Screens is very interesting. I have also learned a lot by the chapters about Code Inspectiong and working with the SQL Trace.
I can recommend the book to all programming in ABAP.

SAAC covers all tricks and strategies for an excellent and optimized programming experience with ABAP language. This book will introduce you around uses of regex's, performance tuning in ABAP, dynamic programming and tricks for manage Web dynpro ABAP programming. But also offers new concepts related to strategies for some OO patterns –adapter, facade -, best practices in some common tasks (like sending email via ABAP, customizing web services, optimizations in Smartforms and so on) which are very important for an integral specialization in ABAP world and for a good understanding of those paradigms. Finally I recommend this book for a developer with any kind of experience: in fact, no experience is required, just the power to learn more and more.
The explanations of all exercises are well supported with the screenshots and sample code provided by the author. Each chapter starts with good theory and introductions from the team, in a good and simple way, with not a lot technical words, in order to be well-known by any programmer from other programming languages.

Finally, if SAP Press has a huge number of ABAP publications until now but you couldn't buy some of them, don't worry. SAAC is the last and best resource for any ABAP programmer who wants the top level.
