Save the Date

Rate this book
When readers reconnect with Guen, Malice, Olivia, Rich, and Scotty in volume four of the Life, Love, and Bifocals series, the five old Boomers or young members of the Silent Generation, are still navigating life’s pathways – albeit slower than in their sixties. Most would agree that life is good and all is relatively calm.

Calm, that is, until Scotty, never one to underwhelm, sends a save the date invite to a faux-funeral. Thus begins a sometimes light, sometimes serious correspondence as the five examine their life goals and issues of aging. They debate the benefits of senior care communities, aging in place, or Olivia’s personal favorite – devoted denial. Much to Olivia's annoyance, daughter Holly, ignoring her mom’s wishes, sends shower grab bars, alert necklaces, and advice, including “only the nearly extinct still use email.”

Despite rumors of their pending extinction, the email holdouts stay active. They travel, are interested in world issues, garden, laugh, love, and remain lifelong learners. Their clocks may be ticking but these unstoppable seniors will make readers laugh and occasionally shed a tear or two as the five continue to make every second count!
