I escaped my wedding and fell straight into the hands of my enemy. And now I’m pregnant.
Damian West is powerful, rich, and dangerous. He gave me the honeymoon of my dreams. He made my body learn to crave him. I thought I knew him. I was so terribly wrong.
Because of him, my dreams are gone forever. I’m forced to work for the man I hate, or become destitute.
One night trapped in a stairwell, and I’m pregnant with my enemy's child. Now there’s a big target on my growing belly.
If I can’t get away, I might fall in love with my enemy. And if I do get away, our enemies may get to me first.
My Silver Fox Billionaire is a STEAMY runaway bride, age-gap, enemies to lovers, office romance. Packed with light suspense, forced proximity, and a possessive alpha. Standalone/ HEA.
This book was laughably bad. The author switched from present to past tense mid-sentence, used the same adjectives repeatedly in paragraphs, and apparently didn't employ an editor. The story itself was basic, and the characters were hollow. Addison came across as a spoiled brat, and Damian's backstory was cheesy and unbelievable. The author couldn't decide if he was an a-hole, or if the reader should pity him. When I read the following sentence, I had to stop reading: "You couldn't of waited until the morning..." Seriously?! What bargain-basement editor allows that to get published? Save yourself the agony and skip this book.
Another great book from Lauren, Loved the Characters Damian the rich Bossy Silver fox where the sassy Addison didn’t shy a way from tell Damian what she felt. I enjoy their relationship from from the off my only pick is what happen to Jack and the paperwork for her to re marry?
Apart from that i enjoyed the book and would recommend it 4 ⭐️
This book started out promising. I really liked the chemistry of the characters and I always love the trope of heroines finding a man who can give them the honeymoon they deserve after a ruined wedding, and Cole pulled it off well. Too bad this book goes off the rails the minute Damian leaves Hawaii.
From there the writer gets super lazy with her plot. The fact that Addy never even thinks about speaking to an attorney after getting evicted from her retail space with only 24 hours notice, despite being current on her rent, is egregiously sloppy. The word lease hilariously never even appears in the novel, and neither Addy or Damian seem to give any thought to how shady and illegal this all was. Also it’s frankly unbelievable that Damian is apparently so well known that he’s subject to paparazzi attention, yet would get zero blowback over evicting a building’s worth of tenants without going through the proper channels. At minimum, the author should have added in some culpability on Addy’s part (being behind on rent, never opening her mail which lead her to miss prior notice that her lease was ending, etc.) or establish some foul play within her business that lead to a more legit eviction in order to make this plot more believable.
And it just gets worse from there! I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes at Addy’s “sassy” attitude at work. I have low tolerance for adult heroines who act like teenagers or authors who think that doing so counts as giving their character some spunk. It’s not sassy, it’s unhinged and it made zero sense to act like that at a job that you need to keep because you need the money no matter how you feel about your boss. It was dumb for Damian to keep her around when she’s acting like that.
Also this book drops a lot of plot points like Addy’s annulment and the idea that Damian might choose to save the Addy’s old building instead of knocking it down. I can’t figure out why Cole bothered introducing the latter at all if she wasn’t going to take it anywhere.
Finally the third act attack was dumb as hell. If you’re going to introduce mortal peril to your characters in the form of a hired hit man, you need to set that up WAY earlier in the plot. I know the author must think that Charlie not being able to secure permits as fast as Damian wanted them and Damian being frustrated over it counts as foreshadowing, but it’s not when the more obvious explanation is that they’re having trouble because they’re clearly not following the proper protocols in how to clear out and demolish an occupied building.
This book is also plagued by typos and grammatical errors, but honestly that doesn’t trigger me nearly as much as the nonsense plot.
The only thing this book has going for it is the chemistry between the characters and the sex scenes. Cole actually does write pretty good spice. Here’s hoping her ability to write a story that makes sense improves. She dearly needs a good editor.

Let me state first: the book description for this book is a misleading mess. A MESS. The book description describes a totally different story despite those elements being present. Wtf.
This gets two stars because it was mostly (75% despite getting in its own way) entertaining. It desperately needs to be proofread.
If you can suspend reality, don’t care much about making timelines work, aren’t icked by the idea that someone can just command a woman to orgasm like eight times in a row, a surprise baby and a couple other whammies at the last minute (stalker, miscommunication trope, etc) well, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!
This was a very good story to me, but I kept getting lost because the virtual voice was running nonstop. It didn’t have any inflictions to the voice. It was just a dud listening to it. The virtual voice leaves the story flat.
First time reading this author. I liked the book. It was steamy, but the ending felt rushed. It definitely has editing and proofreading needs, but I overlook those and just focus on the story. Other than that, it was a good book. The only thing that drove me crazy though, I have a pet peeve about authors over using the words "length" and "bundle of nerves" and "folds". This author uses those excessively. In my opinion, if you are going to write steam, dirty up your words a little. I mean, I would rather read c@#k, p@$$y, and c!@t over and over. Sorry.
This book was so good ,its a must read. You could feel the chemistry between Addy and Damemin just by reading the words on the page. I read this book in one sitting I couldn't put it down. I give it five stars.
I cried and I laughed. I had a hard time putting this down. Wanted to know what happened to Jack. More about Addy's attack. But it's definitely a great novel.
This was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy I was looking for……..but silver fox who? I think there is one mention in the whole book about what his might be. So I think the title is misleading. But if you ignore that minor thing, it was good.
This was an entertaining book. The beginning draws You in, and I like the enemies to lovers aspect that comes up. Towards the end, it became a bit rushed, and scenarios were thrown in that didn’t quite make sense. Despite a couple editing issues here and there and the rushed feeling at the end, it was an overall good book.
This is the first one in silver fox series ..I loved it!!! I downloaded the rest in this series...this one is about Addison and Damien perfect pair...started out hating each other but of course that never lasts long...great read...
True love can be found in the craziest of situations as this story proved. But it took a lot of work including friendship, commitment, communication, respect, trust, excellent work ethic, a foundation of caring, understanding and wanting the best for the other person. But it was their faith and love the sustained it all. Marriage, two children, blooming businesses, and perhaps another baby on the way if all goes well
You ever have that book where the first page completely captures your attention and then you tell yourself you’re just gonna read a couple of chapters but then before you know it you’ve finished the whole thing? Yep that’s what happened. Damian and Addison grabbed my heart and didn’t let go.
Addison just said “I do” but then finds out her new husband has other plans. After running from her own wedding she is heartbroken and devastated. What she doesn’t expect is the man standing next to her to show her kindness.
Damian can’t explain the pull he feels towards Addison or why he feels like he needs to help her out. All he knows is she’s captured his attention and he’s not about to let go.
When the two find themselves thrown together more than once they decide to have a little fun with the situation. There’s nothing wrong with letting loose for a couple of days. But when Addison returns back home hoping to get her life back on track she’s thrown another curveball and this time her new ‘friend’ is the one at fault.
The back and forth bickering between them is honestly so funny but passionate. You can feel the tension flowing off the pages. You will be emotionally invested I guarantee you.
Loved everything about this book. Runaway bride, chance meeting in a hotel lobby and then off we go. Fun with just the right amount of dramatic situations.
My Silver Fox Billionaire is an age gap, Enemies to lovers. It is book one in the Silver Fox Enemy Protectors Series. I have to say I really enjoyed reading Damian and Addys romance story. My first time reading anything by Lauren Cole & I can't wait to read more.
Addy met Damian at a hotel after she caught her husband cheating on her the same day they got married. Damian felt for her & had her take his room. He told her no one should be alone on their honeymoon, and they just clicked & had a couple days of fun in the sun & in between the sheets. Addy then gets some bad news. She ends up meeting Damian again, and things blow up from there.
This book will have you laughing, crying, and rooting for Damian & Addy. The spice level is off the charts, so definitely check out this series if you like age gap romances.
This romance novel fell short of my expectations on multiple fronts. Firstly, the characters lacked depth making it difficult to connect with them. The plot followed a predictable trajectory. There was a bit of a twist towards the end, which I didn’t see coming, but I felt like it didn’t fit with the rest of the storyline. Don’t want to say more so I don’t spoil it for others wanting to read.
Moreover, the writing style failed to captivate me. The writing was overly simplistic, lacking the nuanced descriptions and evocative language that I typically associate with well-crafted romance novels.
Overall, this novel left me with the impression of a missed opportunity to explore the complexities of relationships with a fresh perspective, ultimately delivering a lackluster reading experience.
I loved this story line. It was cute, cheesy, emotional, and caught my attention. But throughout the story there were oversights in the wording and sentences. And one paragraph jumped months ahead while the next paragraphs was current. Which made it a bit confusing as to where they were time wise in the story. Overall I thought it was good. Will read more of the authors stories
Damien and Addison's story is a fun, steamy read. Their "honeymoon" was exactly what Addison needed after what she had to go through with her husband of 5 minutes. I did like that they didn't shy away from their relationship. Damien was happy and accepting of the baby. The rooftop part where he takes care of her after she injures herself is dreamy, especially because he has a fear of heights. Good, quick read.
This was Age Gap, Enemies To Lovers, Workplace Romance, Close Proximity and Surprise Baby Trope. Addy runs away from her wedding only to find herself in Damien's arms. Her enemy but he gives her something for life. This was an easy to read page turner. With some Drama, twists, suspense, humour, love and steam.
Oh my god! This book was so good, I was not expecting it! These two were so cute and they made me laugh, their banter was everything. At some point I was mad at Damian for not admitting his feelings after everything, he was so confusing. This also had a little bit of suspense in it and went with the plot perfectly.
This is one of those books you can't put down once you start. Damian and Addison met under unusual circumstances. Damian was gob smacked from their first meeting. As they spent time together, what they thought was temporary, circumstances brought them together again. From there, hang on for a bumpy ride. I will read this book again!
Wow talk about turmoil, this lady is unlucky in her choice of hubby , what she gets is more much more but is it what she wants , what choice has she anyway and can she find her happy ever after. Great story well written. I read an arc and my review is my own voluntary
Read this a few months back and I am STILL reeling!!! Omg, it was well written, spicy, and a bit of humor. ENEMIES TO LOVERS!! LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!! I read this is LESS THAN 48 HOURS!!!!! I loved it that much!
Damian West is in the top 5 Billionaire Book Boyfriends List for sure ❤️❤️❤️🥰
This is my first time reading something from this author, and I gotta say that I’m hooked. I’m absolutely going to read more to figure out if I just discovered another new favorite author.
This book had me in all the feels! From the banter, the sassiness, the arrogance, and the spice! 🌶️🤭 adding to my to-buy list for my library and adding the rest of the series too!!
I enjoyed these characters and the fast flow of the story. The bit of action was a nice addition to the story. I really don't care for all the steam at all, so I skipped those pages. I did enjoy the rest.
