Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock ‘n roll, Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians. Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own. Growing up as the daughter of a career soldier, she's lived all over the country and overseas. She recently moved to Galveston, Texas.
Trey?? what can I say...... well I enjoyed his story more then I thought I would!!! Never read a full story involving m+m or m+m+f but it was hot!!! They must have alot of love to share, I'd be too jealous or selfish to share my husband with anyone!!! I loved reading these books and can honestly say I was horny the whole time I was reading them ha ha!!! Definitely 5/5 stars!!! Top love storys and great sex!!! All different types of sex, don't think any of them know what vanilla sex is ha ha!!!! Poor groupies now have noone to play with!!!!
This box set is smutty, smutty, smutty! And I say that in the same tone of voice that I would say "Slutty, slutty, slutty" to my girlfriend then cheers, down a double tequila and ogle the eye candy standing at the bar while sucking suggestively on a slice of lemon.
In other words, with the utmost respect and a whole lot of naughty giggling! This series is hotty-hot-hot. As in blow the top of your head off, set your eyeballs on fire and melt your brain hot! How Olivia Cunning managed to write this is beyond me. Honestly.
This series is flaming hot erotica at it's most fiery. Seriously. If you've ever paid good money for a proper triple-A quality, Triple R rated, XXX film (you know, the kind that wins all the awards at the porn industries version of the Oscars) then this is the literary version of that.
There's lots of make you squirm, turn you on and set fire to your fantasies sex. Lots of it. Like every 5 pages or so. But somehow there manages to be an actual storyline holding it all together. Not just random crap scribbled down in an effort to fill the spaces between the sex scenes.
Have I mentioned that it's hot? From book number 1 to book number 5. The heat doesn't let off, and the quality of writing NEVER suffers. That takes some serious skill. Plus the amount of detail in those scenes - bloody hellfire!
I won't go into detail about each story - the blurbs tell you enough about them. I will tell you that Jace is my favourite Sinners Boy (that shy little tough guy who is actually adorable - melt!) and Rebekah (independent girl chasing her dreams and making her mark in a boys world - rock on sister!) is my favourite Sinners Girl.
I also can't decide which of the 5 books is my favourite. Because they're all good. They all get 4 stars or so damn close to it that I can't tell the difference. So go ahead, indulge yourself. Buy it, read it, bookmark your favourite bits and read it again!
Oh and boys - feel free to read these books in the name of research. Your lady will thank you!!
Is the writing good? Yes, yes, 1000 times yes. It honestly takes serious skill to write a sex scene - I have seen numerous talented authors fail time and again. To write an entire sex story that doesn't sound like a bad online chat fantasy? Damn near impossible!
Were there grammar issues? Not that I could see. But then again, I wasn't really focusing on the grammar all that much!!
Are the lead characters likeable? Yes, actually they are. They are rock gods or else SOs godly enough to catch the eye of aforementioned rock gods. But they are not just pretty faces plonked into the story to act out the raunchy bits. There's actual character development and each person comes to glorious life as you read.
Is the supporting cast good? I don't know how the author managed it, but the answer to that is also yes. From the roadies to the groupies to the parents and the siblings - not one person is neglected and every single one belongs on the page where they appear.
Is this story believable? As believable as any of these romance stories are. A whole band finding true love in the space of a year? Highly unlikely. But maybe it might just happen. Possibly.
Is there anything I would change? Only that stupid curse. By the third book I was just like "Ah COME ON man!"
This series made me mad. Is it on me for reading it? Sure. I hate not finishing books or series, so I power through unless I really, really can't. It came as an entire anthology from the library, so I figured, why not?
I think the only reason I was able to finish this is because the stories are quick reads and require no thought. The books aren't well-written, which can be typical in this genre, but I feel almost insulted by the writing. The sex is plenty, but it reads like it has been written by someone who imagines what wild sex might be like. Someone who learned about sex by reading poorly written romance novels. There's not a lot of connection to the characters because they are so one dimensional. The women are insulting. They are dumb, hot, malleable, and unquenched. The men can do no wrong and are not that interesting. The characters are tropes of tropes. The most amazing thing is nothing really happens. Every story, the two characters meet, have sex in 3 seconds, are in love in 5 seconds, some random obstacle occurs and is resolved, and the characters are still in love at the end. With lots of poorly researched, yet graphic sex, in between.
Usually, I wouldn't feel the need to write a review, but I thought it might save someone else some time.
Spoiler Free Notes • Side plots are fun • Enjoy simple stories that mostly consist of two headstrong adults that learn what they want in life and how to compromise with one another to make the relationship work. • Love interests suit the characters • There probably should have been a better editor involved. • When it came to the side plot/conflict I wish there were more pages dedicated to it, instead of quickly resolved in the last 2-3 chapters. • Some details contradict each other (I get it, there are a LOT of things to keep track of and I forget little details about my characters too.) • Decent writing, not the best, not the worst. • Characters are very lively and playful. There were funny moments and I wanted to hang out with the band the entire time. • Character tier list: o Trey o Jace o Eric o Sed o Brian • I hated Brian since the first book. Good character, just pissed me off a lot. • Overall, although not the best writing in the world, I thoroughly enjoyed all 2175 pages (wishing there was more). In the end, isn’t that what makes a story good? So, there, 5/5
Sexy, In Love with The Sinners Band and their family
Ok I am not going to give a review on all 5 books, because I see everyone has done that I will give an overview of how the books flowed together....
I will definitely be looking for more from Olivia Cunning as I am a true fan of her work and one of her newest followers...So if you are looking for a series to read that give you a connection to the characters and get emotionally invested in them and their love life this series is for you and if you are looking for something that make your panties soaking wet as you read and encourage you to dream and pursue your naughty side the Olivia Cunning series is definitely your next book to read....
This series was brilliantly written, creative, EXTREMELY sexual, engrossing, emotional, and very delightful to read... and it fed my own naughty fantasies...
These novels start of great and get even better. There is steamy relationships and depth in every character. These novels are great because every single relationship has a kinky twist. Olivia Cunning has a great way of make you curious about each of her characters and in the following book she will definitely appease that curiosity. The 18+ on these novels is earned. These books are perfect read for anyone who wants dive into a world of rockstars and complicated relationships with hot hot sex.
This series follows the band "Sinners" as each member finds their happy ever after. I devoured this series and got beautifully swept up in their world. Olivia has a wonderful way of capturing each personality and making each person so unique, it was so fantastically captivating from start to finish. I'm rather sad it ended!
Olivia Cunning does a great job of incorporating every band member into each story. She rocks! You really feel like you get to know them! This series flows nicely from one story to the next. They are hot and keep you engaged! By the time you finish these you know all about each band member, who they like and what they like.
Amazing set of stories. Each box was great. First time reading this author. Definitely will not be the last. Worth your time to read. These stories will have you reading late into the night.
From the first story to the last you don’t want to put the book down. Watching each one find their one true love was amazing I laughed, cried and cheered them ion.
This was my first book by the author but not the last. I loved every minute of it and I’m going to read the next book since I bought them all. Also the other sinners series as well. Can’t wait for Dare’s book.
I found that the more I read through the series, the more I grew to love each character. If you’re looking for a fun series with a ton of spice & not a ton of drama, check this one out!
As it should be when hard rock stars are involved. While a great deal of the stories are about sex, some with love and some not, it makes since. Roadies, admirers, fans seeking one night stands, orgies, are what one would expect of band members worshipped like gods.
I messed up and read them all in a row since I got the "boxed set" via KU. I probably would've enjoyed them much more had I read them individually and spaced out. I just felt like it was fill in blank- pick character, trope, "accident" and tie it into being on tour with a rock band.
This is by far my favorite read all year. From beginning to end. Super smutty but tasteful. Each bandmate was crafted so lovingly. Each story was amazing and heartfelt.
These books did not disappoint in any way. Every member has their own story and their own journey. If you love rock music and adult fiction, these are a must-read!
