slow going, but that’s what i expected from a book of literary analysis. i enjoyed seeing the progression of the lesbian presence in literature throughout the 20th century, and it really puts into perspective how lucky we are to be alive when lgbt narratives are somewhat normalized. my main complaint is accessibility (but what can you do about academic writing) and also the misgendering of characters. i really expected to not have to deal with lesbophobia from a book on lesbianism 😐😐
