From Alpha to Omega, from birth pangs to the end of the universe.
You may not find the meaning of life within these pages, but you will find poems to help you feel the search just may be worthwhile. Journey from the Garden of Eden to the bleak cold of a dying world, via comedy, tragedy, love, betrayal and everything else that life can throw at us.
Like many before him, Martin started writing as a hobby but found that it took him over. He's taken the Open University Creative Writing Course (passed with Distinction) and the Exeter University Poetry Writing Course. So far he's published one non-fiction work, two novels and one collection of poetry, but has more work in the pipeline. He's a medievalist by academic background.
His latest novel, 'Out of Time', is a psychological / supernatural thriller set against the background of Cambridge academia, a setting he knows well from the time he spent living in the city and working at Cambridge University Library. According to the cover blurb, it 'challenges our everyday assumptions about human psychology and our relationship with the metaphysical realm.'
Martin lives in the wilds of Lincolnshire, where he grows palm trees, supports Southampton FC and tries to play music. Hopefully his writing will bring more accolades than his piano-playing.
