The lovely poems and songs by Kevin Cooper that are included in this collection are mainly optimistic and inspiring and, to a large extent, they revolve around love. You can sense the writer’s love of music and musical ability in the presentation of these poems which seem to vibrate to their own internal melody.
The lines are short and powerful, incorporated in to punch stanza’s which uplift the reader’s spirits.
One such extract from a poem called Together goes as follows:
“Together
Purple fields
Beautiful heather
The making of love
Lasting forever.”
I have heard the author sing some of his works and I can almost hear his voice, sharing these delightful words.
Another beautiful stanza from a poem called Beautiful world goes as follows:
“In my beautiful world
A time for everything
Time for work
For people’s needs and cares
Time to enjoy what life can bring.”
Isn’t this just a wonderful message?
I recommend this book as a brilliant pick-me-up when you are feeling a bit down or even just a way to start your day with a happy smile on your face.

Poetry and song

This is the first poetry book that I have read that included illustrations. Each illustration compliments and reflects the poem simply and beautifully. The illustrations remind me of a painting in an art gallery. There are a few poems that I could relate to on a personal level. They carry words of life and beauty. Words of finding love in a musical way. One poem actually seemed as if it was a song. I am not one for spoilers so pick up your copy and find your inspiration.

I love poetry because it is the purest expression of life. No two poets are alike and when Kevin Cooper asked me to review this book of poetry, I jumped at the chance.

Love, dreams and emotion are the strongest themes represented in this collection. Visually appealing, each poem resonated with me and Kevin Cooper’s poetry pulled at my heart-strings.

This book of poems is beautiful and I highly recommend it.
