Delectable alphas and bratty subs abound in K. R. Haynes new book, The Fire in Her Eyes.

The story’s beautifully crafted suspense-filled plot draws readers in and each little tidbit of evidence that crops up at their precise moments throughout the book only serves to whet one’s appetite for more. Its climax built steadily until it concludes in an unexpected ending.

Warning: light BDSM, anal play, flogging, and spanking.

I admire Mary J’s determination to protect herself and her family no matter how tough it is not to contact them. Mick is attracted to Mary J at first sight, but she is a stubborn girl. Mick is a hot & sexy man who tries to do what he thinks is best. The chemistry between Mick and Mary J is super hot, as are the dynamic sex scenes. I enjoyed The Light in Her Eyes so was interested in the second book in the series. I loved the tension between the two main characters and I was facinated by Mary J's past and interested to find out more as the book progressed. I laughed and was impressed at how well the author wrote Mick's (the male lead characters) voice which is evident from the first paragraph! I actually laughed as I think this is exactly how my brothers head must sound like. I feel the author's writing and dialogue have really evolved since her first novel and I look forward to reading more.
