This is a two story book. The first story "Christmas in My Heart" takes place in Missouri when Claire Ross decides to visit her reclusive, cat collecting aunt. She brings a Christmas wreath as a gift and as she's leaving her aunt sails it after her. When the sheriff has the cats removed and their paths cross, Claire is surprised by rediscovering her teenage crush for the now lawman.
Second story "Christmas Moon" Has a widower with twins needs to move to Minnesota for his job. He asks the nanny to marry him and move with them. She refuses the marriage but does make the move.......as you can guess there is a happy ending.
Two novellas. The first one was better than the second, which was written in such an amateurish style I decided not to waste my time on it. Also, I hadn’t realized this was a faith-centered book. I am a religious person, consider myself a devout Christian, but it hammered away pretty hard at it. I felt a bit like I’d sat down to listen to a sermon.
That Christmas feeling: A book with two stories, written by two authors, both of the novellas were a pleasant treat while still in the Christmas mood.
The first is Christmas in my heart by Catherine Palmer. It was a fun read about an art historian with a broken heart. Wanting to feel connected somewhere, she struggles with her cranky old aunt, who is a recluse and initially refuses the help that she clearly needs. Once the Sheriff is involved, Catherine is required to deal with her aunt's situation, which leads to uncovering family secrets and a new romance.
The second story in this book is Christmas Moon by Gail Gaymer Martin. A sweet story involving a young nanny's support of the children she is taking care from a mostly absent father. It's a sweet read.
2 feel-good Christmas stories: A young woman tries to help out her cat-loving aunt, a young woman is nannying for the twins of a single dad who relocated from California to Minnesota. Wholesome and relaxing (if mostly predictable) stories perfect to read under a blanket by the Christmas tree on the last days of vacation.
2 Cute Christmas stories with a Hallmark movie feel! Also enjoyed the Christian themes. Putting a lower ranking just because as short stories the ending was a bit rushed in both.
Two cute short stories, Christmas in my Heart and Christmas Moon.
Christmas in my Heart is about Claire, who moves back to her hometown after her fiancé leaves her. While her parents are out of town, she checks in on her aunt and gets way more than she bargained for. Her aunt lives in a mansion alone and is a hoarder. The police chief tells them both that the house needs drastically cleaned or he's going to condemn the house. The police chief also happens to be Claire's old friend from highschool, Rob, who she has started to fall for.
In Christmas Moon, Rose works as a Nanny for Paul. When he has to relocate to another state, she decides to up haul her life and move too. She loves the kids and she loves Paul. Loving Paul isn't easy because he seems to just see her as an employee. When she starts questioning her decision to move, both her and Paul have to give a lot of thought to how they really feel about each other.
The stories were both sweet but bordering on corny. Both stories were very short so things had to happen pretty quickly.
What a lovely book to read especially at this time of year. There are two stories in the book. Both are love stores at Christmas time. No dwelling to much on either and both are following their faith. Restfull and relaxing, they go fast.
loved the way the authors combined romance and the spiritual aspect in these stories. in both stories you can see how scripture can help your heart and mind.
Two inspirational Christmas Stories. Christmas in My Heart is about Family ties and the true meaning of Christmas. And Christmas Moon is a light wholesome romance.
Two enchanting love stories to get you in the Christmas spirit. Both are spiritual in nature, but they don't overdo it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone at Christmas...or any other time.
