This is more of a reference guide. It gives some GREAT tips for those of us who enjoy amusement parks in southern California less often (or hardly ever).

We're looking at going to Legoland this summer which is why I checked out the book. The section on Legoland is smaller but still detailed. There is great advise and information I can't get online.

We've used Fodor's guide in that past to help us plan our limited time to Disneyland and because of it felt like we got our money's worth out of the trip. They also have sections on Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Some information was outdated, but much was helpful. The Disneyland part was quite extensive with the Southern California part less so.

The most helpful part for me was the charts rating the scare factor of all the rides. This was completely accurate and really helped me in deciding on different rides for different ages of kids.

Great book written by seasoned Disneyland tourists, Michael and Trisa Knight. Good advice for taking kids along. I really appreciated the at-a-glance charts with information on and ratings of local hotels, the rides and dining on-site. I feel much more prepared for our family's upcoming vacation!

Very informative, with good tips & suggested schedules. Includes nice guide summaries for things like hotels, restaurants, & rides. Does not have good descriptions of which rides chickens should avoid, though.

Read the 10th edition (Border's clearance sale!) and enjoyed it. Wished for photos. Probably won't make the trip this year. But at least the idea of planning a Disneyland trip is far less overwhelming now that it was a few weeks ago!

Excellent book! Easy to read and has a lot of good ideas. I read the whole thing while preparing for our first trip. I even took it with us since it has attraction height requirements and such. Lots of fun tips!
