Blaire Reese is a whore. But not just any whore... a Super Whore, one trained by the CIA in the art of Seduction and Sexual Manipulation, to be used as a weapon in the war against terror.
Blaire has been trained to seduce those suspected of terrorist activity, to get close to them, and to learn their secrets. Even though the government has spent millions to train her and others like her for this specialized form of intelligence gathering, many at the CIA greet Blaire and her peers with skepticism and derision. Soon, Blaire is wondering if she's made the wrong decision to use her unique set of skills for a government which seems to dismiss her as nothing more than a cheap tramp.
That is, until she receives her first assignment. Ranjim Sayeed is young, good-looking, highly educated, and suspected of funding Al Qaeda to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. But he is also secretive and closely guarded. The CIA taps Blaire to seduce Ranjim, and discover the ins-and-outs of his terrorist organization.
But Ranjim is a more difficult target than he first appears. He too is a skilled seducer, and practiced in the art of manipulation. Before long, Blaire is no longer sure what to believe - is Ranjim really a terrorist? Or is he an unwitting pawn being used by someone who is much more dangerous? What dark secrets is he hiding? And will Blaire be able to survive their discovery?
Among all the mind games, deceit, and manipulation, lies a truth more shocking and horrifying than anyone at the CIA could imagine. A truth no regular spy could uncover. Blaire may be untested and inexperienced, but she is now the only thing standing between the United States and an attack which could bring the country to its knees.
When the key to the country's survival lies hidden in the heart of a terrorist, only love can bring it to light and save the lives of untold innocent people. Blaire may be a Hooker Spy, but in its darkest hour, can she also be the United States' greatest hope?
Book 2 of the Cathouse Series is a shocking, entertaining, and sexually-fueled spy thriller unlike any readers have ever before experienced. Discover the twists that occur after the events of A Patriotic Whore, and what it really takes be a Hooker Spy.

5 KickAss, Stand Up and Cheer Stars! Super Smexy and Exciting with Intense and Sometimes Dark Scenes, But Always A Lot of Fun!
The Review: I was lucky enough, (ok, there might have been some begging involved), to get in on the beta read for this book after having read the first one and liking it so much. I have to thank Matt Kadish for giving me a chance and allowing me to gush, grumble and gabble as I voiced my opinion and drooled over some hot DIVA love! I had a fantastic time with this book and trust me when I say, this series is well worth the price of admission... and then some!
A Hooker Spy picks up right where book one, A Patriotic Whore, leaves off, starting with an unbelievably hysterical dream sequence that left me lol’ing and ready to face whatever crazy ride I was about to embark on.
The Story... Blaire and the rest of the DIVA’s from the Cathouse are set up in the CIA’s compound ready to head out on their super secret hooker spy missions but because the DIVA program is new, the CIA hasn’t yet sussed out how to best utilize this groups specialized talents, going so far as to think of them as jokes. Other than sparklizing their work space and twiddling their thumbs or mastering Angry Birds, the DIVA’s don’t have much to do, but this is a randy crowd so there’s always excitement in the air. The first couple of chapters lets us get a feel for their new environment, the new characters introduced and the roles they will soon play.
And then the hooker call bell is rung...
Soon the fabulous thirty get their footing and are deployed on missions, including Blaire who is sent out after proving to the head honchos in charge how invaluable her specialized brand of services could be. She’s pointed in the direction of Ranjim Sayeed, whose charity organization is suspected of funding terrorist activities.
What Blaire plunges into (other than Ranjim’s sexy underwear) is a dangerous, epicurean adventure that is so intense, it will keep you mesmerized and completely entrenched in this read from beginning to end.
This story has a book-load of substance! There’s no fluff, no arbitrary scenes. Everything is well thought out and calculated making for a most interesting read! This story is thrilling, exciting, electrifying and.... dark. Dark, oh so very DARK in some places as Blaire attempts to infiltrate the terrorist organization and prove her faux loyalty to these world class psychos! And I do mean PSYCHOS! *shudders* I seriously wanted to run screaming from Daddy "scares-the-shit-out-of-me" Sayeed! cuz that cat was the headmaster (like higher than Dumbledore) of “Monstrous Mansion”. He and his twisted butler were SCAR-EEEEE! And naughty and.. ok, so I got a little tingle at one point, but the rest of the time I was all like, “No! No nononononono! Run Blaire! He and his handy butler are both certifiable and you're gonna find yourself chained in the basement!” No, seriously D:
This book has a slightly different, heavier tone and theme than the insane antics of book one. Whereas book one was full of humor, was character driven with lots of exposition, this book is more serious and plot/story driven, yet it still held the charm of Blaire’s unique personality and wit. There are twists and turns a-plenty and we get to see Blaire using her knowledge, her intelligence and her training in action and I completely LOVED every minute of it.
I won't lie. Blaire is the star of this show, even though there are plenty of hot DIVA’s to choose from. But I’ve developed quite the girl crush on her. She’s the ultimate female heroine. She’s tough, she makes sacrifices, she knows how to play the game and she’s real. Everything about her is right.
This was a perfect second book in this series. It has a little something for everyone and for those of you who didn’t like the “twitterspeak” in the first book, its been cut down and refined some. The author did an incredible job with character growth, pushing the overall plot further along and giving us an amazing, sometimes chilling, always entertaining adventure and its one I will enjoy reading time and again.
The Wrap Up: I enjoyed A Patriotic Whore, but I was blown away by A Hooker Spy and I’m so glad I stalkedwormed asked politely, my way into the beta. I haven’t had this much fun with a series in a long while. Some questions are answered but a lot of new ones are posed. And I'm excited to say that book three, A Professional Bitch, (don’t you just love those titles?) is out so you won't have to sweat over the cliffy in this one.
I'm not going to rant about what this book is about. Title tells you, i'm just going to rant about how good it was. Blaires character is brilliant she is funny and intelligent and knows what she is doing and gets what she wants. I hated, really hated Daddy Sayeed and Carmichaels characters wanted to kill them myself (evil men). Loved the lingo and the way Blaire speaks. I remember in the first book took some getting used to. At one stage in the book I actually thought Blaire was in love with Ranjim. Their was plenty of suspense, mystery and hot steamy sex in this book that I really did not want to put it down. Well done Matthew Kadish on a brilliant second book hope the next is just as gripping. A copy received for a honest review.
I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK AS AN ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. Well this author managed to make a very interesting sequil to the original Cathouse series book. I was pleasantly suprised as to where the story went from the first book and found myself immersed in the f'ed up-ness of this story. I also want to add that the author toned down the twitterspeak that was a bit of a distraction from the first book and allowed me to really enjoy the mystery and intrigue that is the life of a Hooker Spy. I was truely shocked at what was happening in this book...it went pretty dark and I was sure that she was doomed... I am highly anticipating what will happen yet again as this ended in a cliffy that will keep you wondering!!
That was funny, sexy, scary and do I mean really F'ing scary and sad all at the same time. Loved the first book and this one follow in its path. The Sayeed family are quite the bunch, especially dear old Daddy. He is one messed up guy with a wierd sense of pleasure,,,, yikes! Ramjim is a sweet, gentle man under it all, andwhen the going gets tough he crumbles and hides. The dungeon was over the top and the 'show' with Carmichael and Sabrina was too over the top for me....dark dark dark.
Looking forward to the next book though, just love Blair!
*I had the pleasure of beta reading this novel in exchange for honest feedback*
Verdict: 4.5 Dark & Dangerous Stars!
Let me start out by expressing how glad I am to have given the first book in the Cathouse Series ‘A Patriotic Whore’ a fair shot. At first I was distracted by the amount of ‘twitterspeak’ (text language) the protagonist (Blaire Reese) uses but eventually embraced it after falling ridiculously in love with her. For those who weren’t sure what to make of the first book, let me assure you that it gets better, so much better! Do not be put off by the ‘twitterspeak’ or the book titles (they’re ridiculously fun), embrace it and love it…because it is so well worth it! End of rant.
Now on to the good stuff…
A Hooker Spy is the second installment in the Cathouse Series and picks up right where that infuriatingly shocking wtf cliffy left us in ‘A Patriotic Whore’. Just when you think all is right in the world with Blaire and Sabrina making more than nice…the author goes and throws a lovely eff u monkey wrench in the mix. Turns out Blaire’s news husband and wife have gone rogue and are now trying to kill her. Can my girl catch a break? Seriously, wtf! We begin with a flashback that does a great job in getting the reader reacquainted with the story. While ‘A Patriotic Whore’ was the story of how Blaire Reese came to be a CIA agent trained in the skills of seduction, ‘A Hooker Spy’ allows us to see Blaire in action and boy do we get a lot of it. Though the story has some of the steamiest sex scenes I have ever read, it is fat full of action, drama and suspense with a dash of romance. It’d be unfair to pigeon hold into the category of romance novel, although love is a huge deal in the series. This particular installment is mega dark, funny, erotically sexy, heart wrenching and all around amazing.
Fresh out of seduction boot camp, Blaire Reese and the rest of the DIVAs face some serious discrimination at their new home, CIA headquarters. So much so that their office is literally in a dingy basement which in efforts to make homey, the gang label Cathouse Jr., although it pales enormously in comparison to the original. The gang gets a kick out of putting their newly acquired skills to the test by seducing various department workers into supplying them with better computers and general office supplies. In an attempt to prove their worthiness and usefulness in acquiring intel, various DIVAs meet with agents looking to get an edge in ongoing terrorism cases that have not been cracked. We are introduced to Agent Peterson and the rest is history. The way Blaire breaks down a target from a single picture is hilariously amazing. Think of Reese Witherspoon’s character in Legally Blonde (but blonder…if that’s even possible) meets Marisa Tomei’s character in My Cousin Vinny in their pivotal moment of brilliance in their respective movies. She’s the perfect combination of Elle Woods (the enhanced version) with a crazy knowledge of all things fashion, and Mona Lisa Vito’s deductive logic skills coming together to create a gorgeous master of mind games with a huge heart and a crazy libido.
After Blaire’s hunch of a target’s sexuality checks out, Agent Peterson flies Blaire to London in order to help with a case that has them on a standstill. They have a terrorist in custody that refuses to cooperate but good ol’ Blaire comes to the rescue in the most spectacularly devious way; wielding her womanly power and showing the boys how a job gets done…DIVA style. Her success earns her and the DIVA unit some much needed respect and they begin receiving assignments. Blaire gets to try out her skills on Ranjim Sayeed, a stunning man who could be the key to bringing down a network of terrorist cells plotting to attack the U.S. But that’s not all; Ranjim is a gorgeous tortured soul with gruesomely dark and twisted secrets. I’m talking Phantom of the Opera meets Jane Eyre’s Mr. Rochester with a hint of Christian Grey (Charlie Tango, penthouse, kinky fuckery and all). Let the mind games begin!
A Hooker Spy is a deliciously thrilling adventure you will not soon forget. It’s a perfect combination or light and dark with a sexy edgy twist that will keep you coming back for more.
I don't know where to begin. I received this book free with an honest review. I loved the book that I couldn't put it down. I was amazed about the whole CIA works. I can't understand how the author kept you in suspense. It kept you going. First I must say you have to read the first book to understand the training that these CIA divas went through and to get a good understanding of each character The story starts off where beautiful intelligent Blair who is one of the finest trained CIA who is on an undercover assignment and was almost blown away by her co-worker. Then it goes back to 5 years earlier of how the whole case started. Sabrina assignment was in morocco assigned to shahryar. Blair was one of the last one getting an assignment in London following ranjim. Gorgeous vampire looking arrogant Muslim man. Blair had to study the Muslim culture. These girls would have to do anything to fit in and get acquaintance with the terrorist to get information without blowing there cover. I fell in love with the romance of Ranjim Sayeed and Blair. I liked how she introduce herself and how she was able to seduce him. I actually thought that this woman was actually going to fall in love with the enemy. Until you meet crazy daddy Sayeed and the dungeon. OMG. The story went with 50 grey of shade and the girl with the tattoo and it was driving me crazy that I couldn't read fast enough to continue. Blair was smart and fast thinking to save her life. I loved the story. I loved when she relates herself as thinking as a 13 yrs old, 22 yrs old and reality. I' thought the first book had more sex but the 2nd book was very intense and erotic like the first one but it also include rape scene. I never read a story like this how does the author comes up with this. I'm impress and can't wait to continue the series. I wonder if Drummond was on a case and had to keep his cover so he had to reject Blair. Is Carmichael part of Shahyar? There is so many things this story can lead to. I would definite pick this book up.
Blaire has finished her training at Hooker School and now is unleashed in the big wide world of the CIA. Except, it isn’t quite what she was expecting. Twiddling her thumbs at her basement desk isn’t what she had trained so hard to do.
But Blaire’s winning personality soon throws her into the thick of things and before she knows it she is off on assignment. And that’s when things really pick up in this book.
I felt that this book greatly improved upon the first. There was more balance as far as the action, character development and sexual encounters.
The main plot was very interesting and kept me wondering what was going to happen next to Blaire, and how she was going to get herself out of the situations she found herself in.
There were some great new characters introduced in this book, and their interactions with Blaire were great. I particularly took a liking to Peterson, I really enjoyed his growing relationship with Blaire.
The bad guys were definitely bad in this book, and some of the characters made some interesting choices and decisions as to where their future was going.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it’s plenty of fun but takes you on a great ride through some more serious moments as well.
For anyone looking for spy / thriller action with a good dash of sex thrown in, then I'd highly recommend this series. It has a fresh take on the thriller game and delivers the action, spills and thrills your looking for. Great read!
I was given this book to read for my honest opinion. Let me begin by saying I read the first book and complained about the twitter language but other wise found it entertaining. Now in this second installment the author has given us twitter illiterate people a glossary to help with his terminology and it made a world of difference for me. I'm not thrilled with it but I understand that the author uses this as part of his characters. The beginning of the book found me laughing out loud at more times than I could have imagined. Although Blaire is a 22 year old woman who at times seems immature with her wanting to decorate walls with glitter stickers, you realize that is just a small fraction of the woman. Her character is intelligent and willing to do whatever her job demands even when she if fearful of the outcome. This book was darker than the first with aspects that made it difficult to put down for the night. This book has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to the next in the series "A Professional Bitch". The concept is original and the characters are funny.
Matthew Kadish is a clever writer. A Hooker Spy is a really great spy novel that has amazing erotic sex scenes woven in that aren't just gratuitous but an integral part of the story. Of course, we are dealing with Hooker Spies which is an intriguing concept all on its own but the way the story is crafted you will have a hard time putting this book down.
This book picks up where A Patriotic Whore left off with Blaire recuperating in the hospital following an explosion. We then go back 5 years to learn more of what happened to Blaire, Sabrina and Drummond to lead up to the encounter on the boat and explosion. Blaire had been sent into London to infiltrate a charitable organization suspected of providing funds to terrorists and has to get close to Ranjim Sayeed. This leads Blaire into the Sayeed family and what turns out to be a very dark world from "Daddy" Sayeed's viewpoint. Amazed by Blaire's strength, cunning and ability to think on her feet. Excited to see where this adventure is headed in part 3.
As with book 1 in this series, it took some time to get used to the language in this book. Personally I didn't feel the almost dictionary in the front of this book was necessary. It isn't possible to remember every word and personally if you are not able to get the meaning of the language in this book, I don't think it's for you.
Having said that I loved the story. It was gripping, action packed and certainly not a love story, although I'm still holding out for a HEA for Blaire. I sensed she grew during this book and she will keep on growing throughout the series.
There were some scenes that were particularly gruesome and hard to read but they were, I felt, necessary to the storyline.
Anyway it was another surprising good read by the author.
again Matthew Kadish delivers a good 3.5 stars with A Hooker Spy. I was a bit disappointed with this book in how two of the characters treat the main character, however, it was still Sex 24-7. Again, I fell in love with the main character and wept with her when she cried. This book took us further into understanding what makes the main character a great CIA agent. oh yes, she LOVES SEX and she is not afraid to use it to her full advantage. this is a great follow up to A Patriotic Whore. The pacing is good as is the pacing of the overall story line. A definite easy, funny ready!!!
I much preferred this to the first one. I think Blair's first assignment was fab and the goings on in that house was totally unexpected. I never liked Sabrina and Drummond.
This is a really enjoyable series. Blair is a great character. She is such a strong person, but also is so vulnerable. A great mix of secondary characters makes this story just a very good read.
