Cathouse #3

A Professional Bitch

Rate this book
Sabrina Scott, Blaire's chief rival, is alive - and she's out for revenge. She's resurrected the terror network Al Jabbar, and is racing to get her hands on a nuclear weapon to be used in an attack on the United States. Even worse, the mysterious terrorist mastermind, Shahryar, is anticipating the CIA's every move, and helping to protect Sabrina so she can bring about her dastardly plan.

As the CIA is dealing with this threat, Blaire has been put on the sidelines, asked to help train a new generation of DIVAs - deep cover agents trained in the art of seduction and sexual manipulation. Project Cathouse has been restarted, this time in Las Vegas. But Blaire is now the teacher, not the student.

Her task is to mentor five of the new male recruits, each one presenting their own unique challenge - especially the mysterious Hunter Black. But beyond that, she's now a role model for the new female DIVAs, and the ambitious Katya Jones is out to prove she's better than Blaire ever was. The warning signs are there, and now Blaire needs to prevent Katya from turning into another Sabrina, and help keep Hunter from becoming another duplicitous Drummond Scott - the man who betrayed Blaire and tried to kill her.

But her training efforts are quickly sidelined when Diego Escarra, a deadly enforcer for the Colombian drug cartels, arrives in town with information not only about Sabrina's impending attack, but possibly the identity of Shahryar himself. But Diego also brings with him an even bigger threat - one which could destroy everyone in the Cathouse if it's not exposed. And the only one who can get close enough to stop him is Blaire - that is, if Sabrina and Drummond don't kill her first.

The danger has never been greater. The stakes have never been higher. This time, saving the world is going to take more than a Hooker Spy...

It's going to require a Professional Bitch.

Book 3 of the Cathouse Series is a shocking, entertaining, and sexually-fueled spy thriller unlike any readers have ever before experienced. Discover the twists that occur after the events of A Hooker Spy, and what it really means to be a Professional Bitch.

A Professional Bitch is book three in The Cathouse Series and is a Sexy Spy Thriller written by Matthew Kadish. I participated in the beta for this read and received this eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

5 Cat-tastic, Dram-astic Super Stars!
Send Your Significant Other On A Coffee Run People! This One’s Definitely An Up-All-Nighter!

The Review:
Who’s a sexy, badass, super star spy gettin’ the dirty job done all the while looking fantastic in a pair of stilettos and glittering stripper wear?!? Bitchin’ Blaire, thats who! A sex-kitten DIVA who will kickpunch your ass if she has to and then kiss it all better! I loved this read. I loved Blaire (insert fan girl scream!). I loved the crazy twists and plots and I loved the return of all our favs! Five stars? Puh! Try 5 Gazillion (its a word y’all)! This series just keeps getting better and better.

Like the other books in this series, this read was packed to the gills with excitement and thrills. Hold on to your g-strings cuz the DIVA’s are back in town!

Story...
We’re going to Vegas Baby!

Due to the injuries Blaire sustained from her last mission, she’s been pulled from active spy duty. Mark takes advantage of her down time to talk her into coming back to the training grounds to offer up her knowledge and sexpertise as she trains and teaches the next generation of DIVA’s in a new town and new digs. She’s not the only one dropping knowledge in the swanky Vegas hothouse. The original gang is back and there are lessons to be taught, baby DIVA’s that need to be schooled and secret missions to be accomplished. We see familiar faces, new faces, catty rivals, dangerous enemies, old flames and even appearances by Blaire’s resurrected rivals, Sabrina and Drummond as a much more sinister plot is revealed.

While training gets underway, there’s romance in the air, trickery afoot and under the surface, an evil master plan plays out as Shahryar and the ever growing terrorist conspiracy is finally uncovered ... and Blaire? Caught right in the thick of it all. The jobs not always been easy. In fact, its been down right scary at times but Blaire has always held her own through her skill, bravery and fortitude. This time when tragedy strikes, it hits home and Blaire and the rest of the DIVA’s find themselves in desperate times.

Characters...
When Blaire walks into the new Cathouse, she’s happy to see that her BFF Rae will be teaching the new recruits as well. She and Rae have had a special sisterly bond since the first book and they always have each others back. Blaire also gets a surprise visit which leaves her open emotionally, so when the other potential DIVA’s arrive and the night opens with a meet and greet where Blaire gets to suss out her likely students, she gets her ass handed to her in a FUPA war (the mortal enemy of women everywhere). I only mention this because this is serious business gals! Read the book, you’ll understand.

Ohhh, the dreaded FUPA! *shudders*

Right off the bat, Blaire gets a rival, someone out to prove they are better than Blaire. All her training, experience and patience are tested as reminders of Sabrina and the original Cathouse come out to play.

Now... Lets talk studs! No, I'm not talking about the ones on my grandmothers farm (unless that boisterous babe is keeping secrets again!) but rather the oh so hot alpha males Blaire has to train in her time as teacher. I’m totally jealous she got some spicy lovin’ with five... yes, I said FIVE... sexy as sin, hot as hell (insert your favorite raunchy euphemism here) studly, magnificent manly men, all the while doling out her sage advice and nimble skills. I can assure you, my day at the office is NOTHING like hers! *sad face*

Blaire has always had an intelligence that is contrary to her bubbly blonde persona, but in this instance she has to come up with five very different methods of teaching five very different students. Mr. Lucky’s wise words have saved Blaire on more than one occasion and do so again as she channels him to find her way around these conflicting and unyielding baby DIVA’s, who are both a challenge and delight as she figures a way to break through each one’s walls and insecurities. Blaire is amazing at her job. She takes her time, she’s careful but she’s in it for the win. She wants to make sure when these DIVA’s leave, they are as prepared as she can make them for what they will face out in the field. I loved all the “lessons” because they were well thought out, well planned and very well written.

Maria and her wise wisdom are back to help Blaire when things seem to be heading in a tough direction. She’s always come in and given Blaire that little piece of advice that can carry her through. Blaire’s rival in the new Cathouse is Kytia, a young, spiteful girl with a grudge and a story. And then there is the delectable Hunter Black who will definitely steal your heart and make you swoon.

There’s a second story taking place, other than the secret mission Blaire goes on that is both dangerous and daring... and thats flashbacks of Sabrina and Drummond. I loved these! We get a whole different picture on these two and their relationship as we watch them meet, fall in love and enter into the Cathouse program. You get a better understanding of who they are and where they come from.

This book had so many twists and turns, fantastically written characters and a forward moving plot that will keep you nervously glued to your seat or high fiving whoever’s in the room with you (even if they give you the stink eye!) as the journey and adventure unfold.

The Writing...
I can’t say enough about the brilliance of every well thought out plot point, the study in behaviorisms, the intense psychology of all the characters and the cultural knowledge in this series. Matthew Kadish is unique and phenomenal in his writing. He creates very believable terrorist conspiracies and situations that feel more like an action adventure movie than a book.

I shall dub thee author amazing and god like and I shall obsess stalk worship be a fan of his brilliance for all time :D

The Wrap Up:
There is a Huge.. HUGE reveal at the end that will completely blow your mind!! And a cliffy to stomp all other cliffy’s. AND after everything that happens in this book, it will have you seriously questioning Blaire’s future! Everything is leading up to the final book in the series and poor Blaire is going to have to make some tough choices.

Im amazed at The Cathouse Series. I love everything about it and it only gets better with each book. I can’t rave about this series enough. Its unique, suspenseful, thrilling and fantastically sexy and fun!

Now.. go forth and buy said series and enjoy all the yummy!

PS... I still hate you FUPA!

Written for my blog Review Buzzz http://reviewbuzzz.blogspot.in/2013/1...

In this third instalment of the cathouse series, we see Blaire going back to the cathouse to train a new batch of DIVAs, this time in Las Vegas. It’s super-hot and all the spy stuff is just off the roof.

Blaire is the new instructor in the new Cathouse along with Rae and almost all of the gang from the original cathouse. This book had so much going for it in terms of plot and sex quotient. When it comes to sexiness, I think the five new baby DIVAs Blaire gets to mentor takes the cake. She falls in love with all of them as part of their training. Introducing five new characters, making them different and unique from each other, and carrying on individual romances with the same heroine… THAT was AWESOME. Each character special and different, and had him his own arc and romance with Blaire. Each mentee embodies a stereotypical romance novel character. You have the “sexy cowboy,” you have the “rough and tumble bad boy,” you have the “witty prankster,” the “sensitive and soulful artist,” and then of course you have the “ridiculously sexy rich guy with control issues and a dark secret.” So there is literally something for every female reader in this book.

This book has probably single-handedly given every woman who reads this book a FUPA (“Fat Upper Pelvis Area)complex! I liked the idea that these trainees could kinda get into Blaire’s head and make her self-conscious, because it was a good way to set up this notion that she had her work cut out for her.

Katya was an interesting character. In my head, I was thinking “Sabrina 2.0” when she was introduced, and I really didn’t like her. But then, as the book went on, she redeems herself and she becomes a really likable character. I was surprised I had such a strong reaction to her death. I guess I didn’t realize how much I came to care about her as a character. The author shined a light on the characters that readers tended not to like and made them a bit more sympathetic. The books have a theme that a woman is never really a bitch, she just doesn’t know any other way of expressing her.

In this book we see that Shahryar is dominating as the bad guy. The threat of this bad guy has become very real as Blaire loses the people closest to her because of his evil schemes. Book 1 had no real life-or-death stakes to it. And though Shahryar was manipulating events in book 2, the real threat there came from Daddy Sayeed. This was the book where Shahryar got real, and begin to illustrate the kind of destruction he is willing to unleash. And when we reach the end, and it is revealed who this shahryar person really is I WAS OUT OF MY FREAKING MIND. I mean I was already having intutions that it was going to be someone close to Blaire but HOLY SMOKES never ever in my wildest dreams I dreamt of THAT.

One of the things I really liked in this book is that we did get to see a different side of Sabrina and Drummond’s relationship. I felt like I got answered a lot of questions I had about them and how they felt about Blaire. We saw Sabrina and Drummond’s journey as flashback chapters. After reading those I realised that what Blaire had with Drummond was never meant to last. But what Drummond has with Sabrina is real, even if neither of them recognises it. These characters are broken in some way, and they’re in pain, yet on some level, they make each other happy. But they’re both so used to being scared, and angry, and miserable, they don’t know how to recognize that happiness.

I freaking love this series. It’s so different from anything I have ever read. To me, they’re more espionage tales. Every character has a secret, or a motivation, that eventually is tied to life and death consequences. To me, that’s more interesting than a simple love story.

Continually surprised by the world Matthew Kadish has created in The Cathouse Series. Blaire returns to The Cathouse to train the next group of recruits. I loved seeing Blaire in the role of trainer, it really shows how far she has come from her first day of training. During this time you really see her ability to love and how this is her best asset as she helps the recruits learn the skills to by a "hooker spies". Several amazing new characters are introduced, really stunned by Katya and how easily you are pulled into her story. I started our hating her but ended up loving her. There are several twists at the end so I am anxious to see how this all plays out in the next installment. If you are looking for an erotic/romance/spy thriller, you can't go wrong with The Cathouse Series – it truly sucks you in and keeps you guessing along with giving you steamy and inventive sex tales.

The third book in the Cathouse series.

This book takes Blaire onto a whole new adventure, after her ordeals, trials and tribulations in the second book, it's time for her to use all of her skills in the ultimate test... teaching others!

The new Cathouse is set in the fabulous Las Vegas, which is a city I love, so I really enjoyed the setting. It felt sparkly and glamorous, and a great setting for a DIVA's playground.

Blaire has her hands full with her trainees, each of them challenging in their own right, when she makes a connection with one of the DIVAs in training that has unexpected consequences. I loved seeing Blaire as a teacher, showing how far she had come and how good she is at the spy game.

I really loved the flashbacks with Sabrina and Drummond, I loved getting to read their story and find out more about them. It got me really invested in them as a couple.

There were some fantastic new character additions to this book, with the trainees making their mark on Blaire's life, I particularly liked Hunter. He was quite the awesome.

And, this book did not just stay in the classroom, oh boy. There was some incredible action sequences, the danger was upped, secrets were revealed...

With each book in the series you just feel that the ante is being upped, things are getting more and more dangerous for Blaire and the DIVA's, and it was a rollercoaster ride of action and adventure.

The start was a little bit slower as we settled into the new Cathouse and new characters, but it quickly picked up the pace for a cracker finish. Any spy/thriller fans out there that don't mind a bit of sex thrown into their stories will certainly enjoy this book. Great stuff!

I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK AS AN ARC FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
I am totally enjoying this series. After a few little missteps on the first book in this series, this author has come leaps and bounds into a story that will keep you interested thruout!
I am amazed at the wealth of psychological knowledge as well as knowledge of how terror networks work and how that makes this story so very interesting.
In this installment I was happy to see that we got a little insight into the inner workings of the relationship between Drummond and Sabrina. It was interesting to see just how their relationship worked and how that affected their actions. It was also nice to get a glimpse into just what their deal was and why they were trying to destroy Blair. In this installment a new Diva class has begun, but within this class their is intrigue and high stakes missions that will try to degrade both the Diva program and the Terrorists. Surprises lurk around every corner and the cliffy is to die for! There is ALOT less text speak and crazy Blair-talk in this one and she comes across as the intelligent person that she is. Highly recommend this read if you are looking for mind bending action!

With each book in this series this becomes more of a guilty pleasure. The characters are taking on a whole new depth and I'm not sure I can pick out a favorite but since most to the book is based around Blaire it's hard not to take her love of life to heart. Once again the author manages to place humor (to the extreme ladies) with some deeper personal issues. When I first started this series I was lost with the twitter talk and found nothing but humor in hooker agents. Now the humor and twitter talk is still there (which I now understand) but Mr. Kadish has managed to lay a foundation to the main characters, throw in a curve ball or two and still manage to entertain and shock us with the things his sexy hooker agents will do to get the job done :)
I look forward to the fourth and last book not because it will be over, if anything I will be sad to say goodbye to the characters (as book 3 made us do) but I need to know how it manages to place a nice clean bow on this last book for us.

I am absolutely loving this series. Blair returns to the cathouse and train new Divas. She train new sexy hot men, from rockstar, sexy grey eyes, fighter, and cowboy. The new divas reminds her and her past with Sabrina and Drummond with Hunter and Katya. Katya was like Sabrina, competitive, bitch and can't stand Blair. Blair tried everything to help her. The story goes back in forth with the beginning of Sabrina and Drummond relationship and how they met. It gives you an understanding of their relationship. Blair is so lovable how can anyone hates her. Blair finds out that her ex's is still alive and the CIA team is trying to track down shahryar. You meet new villains, Diego and Muhammad Sayeed. The story again keeps you in suspense. Lots of mind games and of course sex. The author did it again kept you going and of course makes you impatient to read the next series. What a crazy ending. I can't wait till the next one.

ah the 3rd book in the Cathouse series and Mr. Kadish did not fail anywhere. This one I would put at a solid 4 stars. Mr. Kadish brought back the Cathouse and introduced new characters. Though there is one scene that I wanted to wring his neck with. You also get to catch up on old characters and then when you think that things have been resolved, nope, Mr. Kadish leaves you hanging with a cliff hanger that will have you drooling and moaning for the next in the series. I was surprised to see old characters brought back and also disappointed with the actions of the new characters. Maybe they can redeem themselves in my eyes in the next book. a great follow up to the previous two in the series.

Fantastic, best book in the series. Chapter 20 is super hot hot and 37 keeps you on pins and needles as all hell breaks loose into a full blood bath, seriously not joking. Sabrina and Drummond are out there as the bad guys, and Blaire is teaching at the cat house and then becomes a target. She refuses just to sit back and gets into a crazy mess. But I think the craziest thing she did was to meet up with Sabrina and trust her.... honestly what was this ditzy blonde thinking, I was sitting back yelling at my Kindle, dont do it, you can't trust her...ha, but sadly she didnt listen to me! Looking forward to the final book in this series.

It was great to catch up with some of the old characters from book 1. Story line carried on where book 2 left off and kept me guessing the whole way through as to who the mole was. Blaire had fun teaching a new lot of Divas in this book. Still hot and steamy but with lots of intrigue and mystery along the way. So looking forward to the final instalment to see how it all pans out. Great series so far.
