Overall, this was a pretty good book for learning about not only rocks and minerals but fossils as well. For students who are really interested in this topic and/or for a unit on rocks and minerals in the classroom, this is a book that will engage with plenty of visuals as well as lots of terminology. Probably best for late elementary and into middle school!

This book has lots of information, but I really think when talking about rocks that photographs are essential.
