Hi there. My name is Mackenzie Crowne.

I'm a a wife, mother and really young grandmother. Together with my high school sweet heart husband, a neurotic Pomeranian and a blind cat, I call Phoenix home because the southwest feeds my soul. My love of the romance genre has been a lifelong affair, both as a reader and a writer. A bout with breast cancer sharpened my resolve to see my stories shared with others. Today I'm a seven-year survivor living the dream.

Raised on the concept that a stranger is just one conversation away from being a friend, I love meeting new people. My friends call me Mac. I hope you will too.

I really, really liked this book! Coincidentally, I read it on and around the 4th of July, which is same time setting as the book. I thought that was pretty cool. I probably would have liked it more, if I were a dog lover. I don't hate dogs, but I don't love them either. The main female character, Rylee, is dog trainer/dog-whisperer, so the in-depth nature in which the dogs are discussed was a little boring for me, but if you are a super dog lover than you will probably love it! I love Rylee and Cooper together, and was charmed by Elliot and Sil. Mac really knows how to write romance! I can't wait to read more of her work in the future!

A dog named Pippin threatens to steal the show right along with your heart. The story takes ahold of you and takes you along for the ride.

Rylee Pierce wanted nothing in life other than to train dogs and build The Adam’s House Foundation for Vetrans.

Cooper Reed works for the District Attorney's office and has political ambitions.

When Coop meets Rylee through his father Coop finds he can't get her out of his head.

He talks her into a Dating Thing but Rylee fears Coop will figure out the secret she hides.

Once the secret is revealed it threatens their relationship. Coop plans damage control including his relationship with Rylee.

Rylee Pierce is loving her job as a dog trainer and she is close to her aunt, then in walks Cooper Reed who is a charmer, a flirt, and a public prosecutor in the D.A's office. Rylee Pierce has trust issues because her father was a stock swindler. Rylee and Cooper start dating and there is some HOT sex scenes. Then Cooper finds out what secret Rylee has been keeping and it causes a problem. If you want to know more you will need to purchase this book. I really enjoyed reading this book. I Love all the books I read written by Mackenzie Crowne!!

Being a dog lover, I read some comments on this book and fell in love with the crazy dog before I ever really got to know him. Great Dane are nuts - and this one was awesome.

I enjoyed the book, the plot line and the romance. It all seemed natural and smooth.

I would read this author again!

Great, enjoyable escape!

Such a great book to escape in for the day. Just enough story and romance between Rylee and Cooper to have me invested in their blossoming attraction. I loved the dog training part of Rylee's job, so Pippen might have been my favorite character of all!
