Offers students an expert treatment of the theory, concepts, correlations, and applications of clinical laboratory science. The book explains the principles of analytical techniques, and presents a wealth of pedagogical features, including chapter outlines, end-of-chapter reviews, and concept applications.
The presentation of concepts in the context of human physiology makes this book a proper reference especially for Allied Health students, professionals and those who seek to supplement their understanding of pathology. Moreover, the presentation is brief at some points, but the approach methodical and comprehensible. This is especially handy in quality control and troubleshooting in the laboratory.
Methods and applications of the concepts are at best simplified, however. So that if one aims to practice in the field of clinical laboratory science, he must peruse other books dedicated to the technicalities of the subject, clinical chemistry. Despite the deficiency, I still highly commend the book and give it FIVE STARS.
