A Parliament of Twilight novel

Book Two of the Monster series picks up where book one left off, bringing us back into the budding relationship between the undead Chip and his captive J, and the reunion gone badly of Julian and Siris.

Now that they are together, Julian and Siris have to face the consequences of their choices. They are presented an opportunity to leave their service as Agents by the enigmatic vampire Malachite. Will they take it? Is it really their only way out from under the influence of the Parliament of Twilight? And what happens when only one of the men is willing to consider the option?

Chip has J at his mercy. He has Richard locked up safely for later use. But what can the inexperienced Zombie Master do to the jaded and over-sexed Agent? Will he be able to turn him to his side and have the friend and lover he has been craving? Or will J unleash his hidden nature and destroy Chip?

And what about Richard? What's going to happen to this Agent caught in the crossfire?

WARNING: The books in the Parliament of Twilight series are intended for mature readers with enough sense to know the difference between erotic fantasy and reality. There are some scenes of violence, gore, and/or horror movie like creepiness that not all readers will appreciate.

Dani Hermit is a writer first and foremost. But after that, I'm just Dani. I am one stern look from my best friend from becoming a crazy cat lady. I'm a raging geek, in love with books, anime, manga, books, TV, music, books, movies, and did I mention BOOKS? I am the main cook for our insane little pirate crew, and have learned how to make all sorts of delicious organic, gluten-free goodies.

I live in a nice little quiet house in the middle of an unassuming community with my pirate crew - my life partner of 18 years, cover artist and writing partner Nevi Star; our best friend, editor & #1 fangirl/boy Seth; the enigmatic Myke and a small herd of kitties.

This book was just as delicious as the first one. Sirius is still the ultimate diva and doing his divalicious things. With this book, it seems to focus more on the romance side of things which was a nice surprise. The action is still there and the Zombie master is still holding strong, but he's also confused. A lot of the questions that I had left over from the first book were answered in this one. I think this is a wonderful series, different but still great. I love reading books that captivate your attention where the reader doesn't focus on anything except the story itself and this book does that.

A superb blend of the paranormal and the erotic. The authors’ skill creates a viable world of zombies, vampires and shape-shifters, with a collection of ex-rock stars and boy band members engaged in fearsome struggles of life and death. We are privy to a succession of contests and mind-games where the protagonists get into each other’s heads and memories, and imaginatively-sketched episodes of incredible struggles with supernatural beasts. Characters shift shapes and forms, often both controlled and also disturbed by their ‘inner beast’. Sexual encounters between male characters, graphic and frequent, are handled with great insight and unashamed authenticity. Siris and Julian are chasing Chip, the Zombie Master, in an attempt to save J. The story ends unresolved. I can’t wait for Book 3 to see how it pans out.
