This is a powerful debut. Olivia is a credible and vivid protagonist who faces challenge after challenge, and I was impressed by how quickly I was able to get under her skin and feel a keen sense of what she was up against. Written with an authentic tone which will resonate with teens and adults alike, this is fast-paced and deceptively layered. You are reeled into Oliva's world before you know it. A pleasure to read, this story also tackles gritty issues which face many young people. This is one of the things which makes this an unusually accomplished work.

Just finished reading this awesome book. It was a great piece of writing. Author have done it so smoothly through his fabulous writing. Olivia is the main role here in this book whose life is not so easy. She struggled throughout the life and make herself strong. Life has so many ups and downs, but she's an example. It's a fantastic read.

I loved this book! The author writes in a beautiful descriptive way. But you also feel a really good paced plot. Sometimes books that are too descriptive can be slow but I found I couldn't stop reading this book until I realized I was finished. Olivia is a person that goes through so much. It's sad but you keep believing as you read she will conquer. The things she goes through are real and true for today and she has to heal herself and decide whether she will choose life despite all she has gone through. It has a really satisfying end but it is a series and I really want to know what's next. On a personal note I have a friend who has gone through similar things as Olivia and I am gifting her this book because besides a great story I think it is healing too. Terrific author!

Review: Olivia’s Trek was a surprising read. As soon as I read the first chapter, I was hooked in to the story. I want to also point out the cover is VERY appropriate to the story and it really made the book stand out to me. The plot was thick with great things and the characters were filled with description. I would recommend this book to any romance reader!

I would like to tell that this book is awesome and a masterpiece. The way author wrote the whole things, is excellent. I lived the life of Olivia (a young girl) while reading this book. There has every tastes of life and the mixing of emotion and romance are way too remarkable. In one word, I can say "Lovely"

Wow, what a great story. Olivia adopted by her uncle after her mother dies and her father isn't capable to take care of her. Her uncle is very rich and she leads a privileged life but doesn't always understand that. And after being betrayed by her best friend who sexually assaulted her but was also in love with her, thinking that they would end up together, she spirals out of control detaching herself from him and then getting involved with the kids who were into drugs. She couldn't tell anyone what happened and she lived with the shame. So totally out of control her Uncle & Aunt reach out to a rehab program that she originally resists but then grasps making new friends. She makes a connection with her counselor and they realize they both have secrets that are dragging them down.

This is a love story that takes an unconventional twist, and Olivia does not stay clean. Things that happen when she returns home throw her right back into her need to escape using drugs and alcohol.

This really is a heart wrenching story with some light at the end of the tunnel. It isn't easy and it isn't a HEA, you will need to read book 2 to see how this story unfolds. It was hard to put down. The book deals with so many issues of a struggling teenager that doesn't know if she belongs. Excellent story, moving on to book 2 Olivia's Choice now.

Disclosure: I picked this up from BookRooster for review for free.

First of all, I need to warn you that there are probably triggers in this book for those who might have been through rape or self-harm or addictions.

Second of all, there are a lot of typos. The book needs a good editing.

The saving graces of this book, at the story, and the characters. But many times it turned into a counseling brochure and became just a little bit unreal. Another saving grace, though, were a few of the tricks that the counselor teaches the patient. I actually had them help me a couple times since I read this. So it's worth the read.
