I give this book 3 1/2 to 4 stars. The author has tapped into the inate fear of storms many people have. I have been through a few tornadoes in my life and understand that fear. The tension from stormy weather and a killer on the loose kept my interest piqued. I will enjoy reading more from Ms. Shaw. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.
There are some stories which the reader w truly enjoys, and than there are stories such as this one, which the reader overwhelmingly loves. This is a wonderfully great story. Everything, from the characters, to the plot, to the storyline all the way to the happy ending is magnificent.
There was a good foundation for a great story here but the plot kept dragging and there was a lot of repetition. It was too intimate to recommend to YA yet that is who it seemed largely meant for. The ending was very shaky. It felt like a chapter was skipped and ended abruptly.
