It takes place during the Mandalorian Wars and nominally focuses on a Padawan named Zayne Carrick, who has been framed for the Padawan Massacre of Taris, suddenly finding himself on the run from the Jedi Order. Finding himself unexpected new allies and trying to prove his innocence, he learns about a secret Jedi organization operating without any attention from the Jedi High Council. His attempts to enlighten the Council to the existence of the Covenant result in a shocking and terrible event that threatened to change the Jedi Order forever.

An excellent prequel to the first video game- compelling characters, a good sense of humor, and the questioning of the virtue of the Jedi. Zayne Carrick and friends make a great addition to Star Wars lore.

This rag-tag team of unintentional heroes made my day! From Zayne - a Jedi who grows into his own through trial by fire, Gryph - the swindler who has a heart of gold, Jarael - the protector, Elbee and Slyssk - the lovable sidekicks to Rohlan - the Mandalorian with 'an identity crisis'. :)

I loved the core arc at the beginning of the story. A cabal inside the Jedi order is something I see being entirely possible. The Jedi are not without their fault. And then, to see the gang going on different adventures, finding themselves and others along the way was a great experience. I just wish Camper made it back :(
