A really fun volume!

I loved figuring out how that street "magic" worked. On a related news, Joshu is annoying and ugly.
Joestar's 1901 plotline was tragic and sad, I'm sad.
The clifhanger though!

I am enjoying the art so much. Araki's style is so beautiful.

Memes in this volume:

Okay ignore the bottom text but this was the only image of this panel that would actually load. Joshu is claiming he doesn't speak the language of his own kind.

:( I guess the first Jojos of each timeline really don't get long and happy lives

Although Jojolion isn’t finished yet, the book does seem to be coming to a close and will probably be ending in a couple of chapters. Jojolion is basically Diamond is Unbreakable, but much weirder and more complicated. It centers around a young man named Josuke who has no idea who he is or where he came from. He runs around Morioh with a girl named Yasuho to try and solve the mystery surrounding his past.
Many of Araki’s books deal with weird concepts and world builders, but Jojolion takes it to a whole nother level. I don’t even think it’s possible to spoil this book because if you don’t have the context for it, it makes no sense at all. For example, a stone baby infiltrates a beehive for many years then becomes a villain. Like what is a stone baby and why can he fit in a beehive? Due to all this world-building and new concepts, I did find it hard to remember all of the new laws and concepts. They introduced the Rokakaka, stone people, walleyes, and a new family tree, things I’ve seen in his old books.
Josuke, or Gappy, is a pretty complex character that many people right off as an airhead. Gappy was created by a weird occurrence where two people were buried underground and got fused together. He is literally two halves of people, his irises are even split down the middle. Despite him being ‘cloned’ from two different people he has no memories, he only knows basic facts and math. The only clue that Yasuho and Gappy could work with was his sailor hat he was wearing while buried by the Wall Eyes. He struggles with the harsh reality of having no real family or people looking for him. I never thought about how sad it would be to have no one to hang your picture up or have no one looking for you. I think that’s why he is so attached to Yasuho, she was the first person he saw and stuck around to help him. She saved his life and found him home despite knowing him for less than a day.
Yasuho is one of the most realistically written jobros in all of Jojo. She doesn’t come from some family full of stand users that commit mass murders for Dio. No, she comes from a household that can happen to anyone. Her mother is emotionally unavailable and would rather spend her time with random guys than take care of her daughter. This led to her mental health problems and her leadership skills that are showcased throughout the book. She wants to solve Gappy’s mystery and will go to any lengths to do so. Even after she thought he kidnapped somebody, she decided to go bad and help him because it didn't sound like something he would do. Maybe she doesn't want him to feel helpless like she did. She states that Gappy reminds her of an old dog she had, so this could also be a nostalgia thing too. I think it’s because she's intrigued by the mystery that surrounds Gappy and the natural phenomenon surrounding his existence.
I do think this part is for a more mature audience due to the language and topics presented during the book. It’s nothing extreme I just wouldn’t want my 10-year-old reading it. Jojolion is the weirdest part of Jojo, you really have to have an open mind to extremely weird concepts and excepting changes to the laws of nature.

Seguiré a ver si vuelve a hacer click, si no deberé dejarla

"I've... won! Completely!"

Mildly disappointed Johnny gets shafted so much, but I guess the Spin being implanted on the gingko leaves makes some level of sense, and I'm guessing the Holy Corpse is still the explanation for the birth of Stands?

Also, Nut King Call looks pretty cool. I like his Kamen Rider eyes.
