A paranormal romance series.
An epic journey.
If the Seventine are released, will anyone survive?

Book two in the Walker Saga follows Abigail and her friends as they tame the world of Spurn.

‘Go to Spurn,’ she was told.

Oh, and by the way the planet is ninety-five percent water and the inhabitants are hybrid fish. Of course, no one seems to care that Abigail can’t swim.

Surprisingly, jetting off to a water planet is not the weirdest thing to happen this week. But she’s on a deadline to the find the first half-Walker girl, as the very essences of the seven worlds are starting to unravel. And with each Seventine release the chaos richochets further.

Of course, with her Walker energy causing havoc and the savage Spurns ... well, it’s safe to say nothing so far has gone to plan.

And on top of that a bombshell she did not see coming.

Secrets are revealed and loyalties challenged but with her best friend and soul mate by her side, can she really lose out?

Crais - the burning planet - book three in the Walker Saga (due for release early 2014)

Dear Author, you almost made me lose my mind with this ending. I'm so glad the series is complete because not having the third book would have damaged me. I know you wouldn't have wanted to be the cause of my mind freaking out. This story is book crack for me.

Sincerely,

WB

So many issues

Spoiler alert: There was so much stupidity from Red, that I was dumbfounded. Just one instance on the Spurn Island when her mate was fighting Talli's father, she starts mind groping all over his body internally not knowing if he could even stand up to this guy, so yeah let's distract him like an idiot. Then right after when the Witch had Roars by the throat, she was so caught up in her internal ranting about how independent she was that she was ignoring what was going on in front of her! Oh but the stupidity doesn't end there. She lets Talli walk up to leave with her father, which could possibly destroy their only chance to save the worlds. She even tells her mate to let her go. Not once does she even try to use her dreaming power, which would freeze the Witch or try to yell into her mind. Nope, she does nothing at all! Why give us 2 pages of ranting about being able to take care of yourself internal dialog, then not even try to do it! What a wimp! So far she does nothing. Occasionally her power does something on its own, but except for the tracing, she doesn't try to replicate, strengthen, hone or use those powers at all. She has seriously been nothing more than a whining, self centered chit. And while this story seemed like it was supposed to be about Talli, we barely saw her. Same with Lucy, who had been having nightmares and was distant with Samuel, yet the two weeks before the battle, Lucy and Abby couldn't get together for an hour to talk? They didn't seem to be doing much else. It's not like they were on a ticking click to find the rest of the shillings. Oh wait, they are!

Wowza's! Jaymin really knows how to deliver a GREAT story! I LOVED the first book, and it has taken me awhile to buy this one. I JUST finished it and immediately bought the next two in the series. I couldn't put it DOWN!
We get to catch up with Abby and her best friend, an Earthling (I question this....but we'll see), Lucy. I love those two. I want to be their third wheel, or at least be privy to their conversations. They are hysterical, and I love how real they are. Jaymin writes from Abby's POV most of the time, and she is just hilarious. I love getting to "hear" her inner dialogue.
There is a bit of a love triangle here. The gorgeous hunky Brace, and the Emperor to be Lucas. We don't get to know Lucas any more in this book, but Brace...goodnight, he's a good fit for Abby's witty sarcasm and independent attitude.
Which brings me to another reason I like Abby so much. She is not some overemotional girl who cannot take care of herself. She is a strong character with a good head on her shoulders.
We also meet Talina, another halfling, and I am curious to get to know her a bit. She has had a abusive (I call it abusive anyway) past, and is probably more ready to get out of Spurn than the gang realizes. Unfortunately we meet a cruel stalker, witness some crazy battles, and learn of a horrible betrayal that does the unthinkable. I'm still reeling from it. Cannot wait to dig in to the next two!!!!

Good story, HORRIBLE non-ending. It just quits right in the middle of the climax - mid-fight, HUGE shock. The end.

No excuse in my opinion for such a cheap money-grab to sell the next book.

This was a great sequel to FIRST WORLD. The story continues on, and were introduced to new characters, mainly Talina. I heart Talina. She's so sweet. Again, I'm just amazed at Jaymin Eve's ability to create such an amazing and complex world.

In Spurn, we're dropped in, well, Spurn. An alternate world housing "people" who live on this planet that is 95% water. They have colorful hair, have gills, webbed toes, and travel on pontoons.

We get more Abbs, Luce, Brace, Lucas, and Sam. I never get tired of Abbs' and Luce's fiery personalities. I simply adore those two.

The ending! Eeek, the ending! No doubt I'll immediately be starting in book 3. I don't heart Sammy. Not. At. All.

I am continuing to read this series even though I think it is trash...
I am sorry if that seems harsh but it is so true, the characters are shallow and 1 dimensional the narrator is single-minded in her every other thought is about Brace (her mate gag). And the name Brace alone is enough to irritate the hell out of me. The story moves rapidly and without much detail its just ugh all over.

So why am I reading it? I have this really bad habit of not being able to stop a series once I've started it not= matter how I feel about the story...

Comes up short.

The story is developing but the romance aspect has been overdone to the detriment of the plotline. The result is a story that stumbles along and is only loosely holding together. Once again it seems an author is trying to tease the reader into buying the next episode. That would be fine if there was enough substance in the present volume - there wasn't.

Okay. I'd like to say that this book could've been great. Apparently a lot of people think so. I like the idea of it and maybe even some of the story line. It had marvelous potential. The first book was good enough to catch my attention, to make me want to read the second one. And then I did. I spent- well my mom spent three buck for this book on iBooks. Sad to say, it was wasted because I couldn't event bring my self to finish it.

First of all, once again I could've like this book. I just think it should've been delivered differently. I couldn't help but roll my eyes every time someone opened their mouth. And the protagonist was even worse because I knew what she was thinking. And I'm like, who the hell thinks like that? Also she seemed like a little fake bitch to me. Everything her best friend, Brace, her dad, fucking talina or whatever her name was, basically everything they said made me wonder at how many people the author has actually talked to in her life. They said the stupidest things. The prophecies and shit... I don't even want to get into that. Basically the whole time I read what I read, I was like "wow, these idiots did not just say that". And also there was a whole bunch of useless shit going on. Like, why the duck is this happening. And also I felt like the author did a poor, sinfully boring job at describing anything. Which is also why I couldn't finish the book. While I was being annoyed, I was trying to figure where the point was.

Second of all, I felt nothing at all while reading this book. No emotion. I could see where she tried. But she failed miserably. Or else, I'm just a cold hearted pessimistic bitch. Which is completely true but so is the fact that their book had no real feeling. For example, when raror was dying. I didn't feel that. I saw the words. I saw how she sorta felt bad because "she liked raror" which I think is bullshit because the whole time he ever talked to them and she to him, it was mostly how he didn't trust them and how he was a unsmiling bastard. That's one of the reasons I feel she's fake. Also, I didn't feel one word about what was happening with brace. I didn't feel any love. I didn't particularly like him either though. Because, 1) while nobody seems to have a personality in the book, he was like fucking Spock off of Star Trek, except Spock kept it real, because 2) brace never said shit of value and when he did say something, it sounded almost as fake as Abbie when he was trying be affectionate cause even if he is from a different planet, nobody would say something so stupid, especially when you can clearly see he's trying to talk like her. Also, these people are from a different planet, universe, world, Galaxy, whatever and they all talk like they're from earth. The bitch from spurn never heard profanity before she met Abby and her friends but suddenly after not even a week she's an expert on the shit. Ugh. Anyway I'm off topic. As far as emotions go, the beginning sorta had me laugh a little bit, which is what got it two stars, but other than that I only felt annoyance.

I had a lot more to say but I forgot. But yeah I can't finish this book, and if shit was refundable I'd get my mon- my mom's money back. But it's not. So life is sucky. Anyway don't pay too much attention to this review. I'm just angry I had other books to read and decided to waste my time with this instead. I know it's a trashy review. It's all over the place and most of my point are probably not valid but they're valid to me so it doesn't matter. I just had to let off some steam. Don't judge me.

Love!

Wow, what a cliffhanger that was! So glad I found this series when the following books in the series have already been released, I'm a little desperate to find out what happens next.

Spurn starts off from Talina's POV, she's the first of the other half-walkers that Abby has to track down. The author switches back to Abby's POV very early into the story, and it remains that way for the rest of the book.

This is so much fun to read - there is lots more of Abby and Brace together, they definitely develop into more of a romantic relationship. Lucy and her loud personality make for fun reading, but not all is running smoothly for her and Sam. And WHAT's GOING ON WITH SAM??? Onto the next book to find out.

When I first started reading this book I was very confused, I thought that Jaymin had suddenly changed the character of the book and that it would be a whole new story. (Don't worry it definitely isn't). The beginning of each of the rest of the books in the series start with a chapter from the perspective of a new character, which is really cool because then you discover new people and world before the main character does. It mixes things up a bit, and I love it.

This was a great sequel book. Talina is such a sweet Half Walker, and so strong going through the upbringing she did. And seriously, who doesn't just love Lucy - she cracks me up! And if your heart doesn't pitter-patter for Brace then you really aren't human!
5 stars; highly recommend.

I'm really getting into Arabella's/Abigail's story. It's a cool interesting concept, with some incredible worlds. The new halfling, Talina, is a bit quieter but she seems like an interesting character all the same. I love Brace <3 The ending drove me totally insane! aaaah!

I am really enjoying this series.

Really good clean read. Strong characters with great imagery. The relationships between the characters are we formed with just the right touch of spiciness, toughness and humour. Look forward to more. The actions scenes are good too.

Spurn is book 2 in the Walker Saga.

I just could not get into this book. And I thought it was a little ridiculous how Abby would get into a conversation or be all lovey during a very dangerous time or while someone is almost getting killed.

I made it pretty clear with the previous book that I did not like First World. However, me being a completionist and having received the first three books in the series as freebies I had no choice but to keep going with Spurn. Let’s just say it was as I excepted it to be, although since I consciously kept reading something I knew I would have major issues with I feel generous enough to give it two stars. That and another reason.

The problems I had with First World are pretty much the same as in Spurn and that is way too much going on with plot twist after plot twist. Though in Spurn it wasn’t as much in your face as in First World, leaving some breathing room for semi natural progression. It didn’t try to have every cliche genre and shock value known to YA either which made it a bit more tolerable as it calmed down a bit and didn’t make it as ridiculously unrealistic. Don’t get me wrong, it still spread it thick with the whole Spurn world (which was basically The little Mermaid kids movie world) walkers, insta love soul mate bond and everything else that made my eyes roll, but it was at least a little toned down if you compare it to the first book. The romance actually did something for me in this book as well, in that there actually was a romance at all that wasn’t just between Sammy and out of this world annoying Lucy. So to sum up, this book had more to offer than the first book.

Sadly tough, the same couldn’t be said for the personalities. That being said there weren’t any. It seemed that personality development was confused with being “smart mouthed” (air quotes because none of what the characters said was ever really that smart) and the more smart mouthed they were the more personality they appeared to have. It was quite the opposite since everyone then just blended together into one cringy mess. Then among all the obnoxiously annoying characters we of course had to have a Mary Sue character with special snowflake syndrome.

This was evident in book one with how out of this world beautiful Abby was with her Superman genes and strength, but in this one it was built on more with every other character putting her on a unreasonably high pedestal and if they were male and not related to her they of course had to have her, one even on a stalker and kidnapping degree. And lets not forget how she out of nowhere and with no struggle developed (or rather suddenly just had) powers that no one else in existence had like tracing, soothsaying or melding to Brace. It wasn’t even only Abby that got this unrealistic treatment but all the “heroes” did with Brace suddenly being debatably the most powerful person in the whole wide world (and of course the love interest also just had to be unrealistically beautiful) and every good guy so easily winning fights and know they will before they even fight that the conflicts they have seemed completely underwhelming and unnecessary.

The special snowflake syndrome along with how every characters just had to cram in jokes in every sentence (or Brace calling Abby Red in literary every sentence out of his mouth or mind), and of course the whole messy plot, made the writing, in my opinion, off. It never was given the chance to really flow naturally or develop in a realistic way for either plot or characters, making some scenes extremely bizarre. For example, one characters holds another with a knife to his throat threatening the new half-walker and Abby and Brace takes the opportunity to flirt with each other, completely forgetting the threat right in front of them. This they keep doing at the oddest and most serious times in the book making the writing jump from progression and them flirting back and forth at the most consequential times. It’s like whiplash but for writing, and don’t even get me started on the triangle that the book out of nowhere then tried to convince me existed when it didn’t. Apparently Abby had some emotional connection with Lucas but they never once interacted in the book. His name was just something you sometimes stumbled upon while you read and nothing else.

All of this mentioned above made this book feel like something more meant for kids to read since the plot and world is just way too out there to speak to an older audience. Of course as a children’s book the writing might be even more off when they suddenly start talking about sex and making out. However I believe that if you just remove that it would be perfect as a kids book.

Rating (Average for book 1 and 2): 3 Stars

This is going to be a 2 in 1 review since I read First World and Spurn back to back. Alright well first off let me say that Jaymin Eve did a very great job at building the worlds that we got to visit in each book. I thought they were well developed and could easily picture each planet and population in my head. The thing that is going to stop me from reading this series though is the main characters. Look I didn't mind Abby/Aribella in the first book, yes she was slightly immature but I pushed through and hoped that would improve in the second book. Yeahhhhh...nope that didn't happen. I think one of the big problems I had with her is that I never got connected to her. When I love a book series I get attached to a character and I feel everything they feel. This did not happen, by the end of the second book I couldn't care less about Abby (or Brace for that matter). I actually think the second book would have been A LOT better told strictly through Talina's POV. I really loved the first chapter when I read it and got really bummed when we switched back to Abby's. I'm sure the rest of the series has it good points but I just don't have the energy right now to push myself to finish.

SPURN is the second book in the Walker Saga, and we continue with Abby and Lucy as they try to conquer another world. Spurn is not at all what they expected, especially as Abby has 'fun' swimming. Throw in a Stalker Walker (yes, I stole that from Abby), mutant sea monsters, Lucas and Brace, and Abby has her hands full.

We meet Talina in this story, and she is a gentle, introverted character. That is, unless you try to hurt her loved ones, and then she will go full on typhoon on your ass! She hasn't had it easy, but is a wonderful character that I had fun getting to know.

I am LOVING this series! Seriously!!! It is full of action, quick paced, quick-witted, and full of emotions (both good and bad). I read each book, thoroughly loving each story, and yet wanting to move onto the next one, just so I can continue with the story.

Fair warning - one major heartbreak in this book that I did NOT see coming, even with the warnings. There were others too, but this one knocked me out of my boots. Now I definitely need to read Crais... and hope that Ms. Eve isn't going to keep me in suspenders until the last book!

Absolutely definitely positively recommended!

good

I like that this book started where the last one left off. as soon as Abby and her friends came to Spern, they were treated as prisoners and thrown into cells. The inhabitants of this world thought that they had stole some sacred items. It didn’t take them long to get out of the cells and to find the half walker girl that they were looking for. One of the things I like about this book is it has several adventures in this one book. All the people on this planet are basically like fish except for the one that is half walker. Before they can take this girl, they have to appeal to her people to let them take her. Unfortunately, they find out that this girl‘s family is a bunch of jerks. Once Abigail is back on first world with her friends and this new walker, another adventure is going to begin. Now Abigail‘s mate’s father is coming to battle with them. Unfortunately, there is a trader in their midst, and they don’t find this out until the end. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed the book but the pace was interesting. At first it went fast seeming to come to a precipice before it felt like it could possibly be over. And then it slowed in the middle to kind of pick back up to a cliff hanger.

So the first half of the book was about finding Talina from Spurn and she is this loving and gentle spurn and I did enjoy her evolution as she become more confident in herself and spent more time around Abby and Lucy. She became this person that was closed off in herself when her brother died but slowly begins to open up again as her wounds heal she finds she is a hot commodity.

The second half of the book is more about Abby and Brace is its bits that include Talina. So many things can go wrong for Abs and crew but nothing can prepare them for what happens to Brace. Shoot I still don’t know what happens to Brace other then he is no longer Brace and his daddy is a cheater cheater pumpkin eater. Interested to see how it pans out in the next book.

An enchanting read!

Secrets are revealed and loyalties challenged but with her best friend and soulmate by her side, can she really lose out?

Another glorious, enchanting and compelling book in this series. I am so glad I finally picked up book one and just started reading it. It is so amazing when you start a book, get addicted and read all the books in the series - such a positive and amazing feeling - and this is what happened for these books! So eager to read the next book especially after that ending.

Compelling writing. Gloriously written. So flawless and addictive.

The world building in this series is so magnificent! The author pays attention to all the details and describes it so perfectly well.

Full of secrets, power, seven worlds, bonds, friendship, family, prophecies, loyalty, trust, love, action and adventure.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romance/fantasy romance.

The quest to find other half-walkers to defeat a prophecy, Abigail and her companions begins on water-based Spurn which is human hybrid populated. The travelers land on a beach are promptly jailed. Daughter of section leader, Talina isn’t happy with her life on Spurn, she’s different and only treated with kindness by her brother and the leader of Spurn. Surprisingly she’s allowed to travel with the other Spurn in her section to the trial.

Sneaking away from her group, to peek at the travelers, Talina’s fascinated by their similarity to her. Abby’s happy no search is necessary but is surprised by the formality the Spurns demand. Lucas tries to convince Abby they’re fated, she admits to a pull but shares a much stronger one to Brace; Abby learns a few of Brace’s secret and part of the Seventine arrive, they too want the half-walkers on their side. With the future at stake, both sides are willing to fight hard.

OH HELL NO!!!! 😫😫😫 Heart is breaking...I know it’s going to be fixed because well it dahmn well has to be! But but oh boy that ending was worse then getting sucker punched in the gut!! I have sooooo many emotions right now it’s ridiculous!! Trust Jaymin Eve to bring them out of me! I can barely think clearly enough to write this!! 😢

I just can’t write a decent review but well it’s a dahmn good book that gives off soo many of those crazy wild emotions you won’t regret reading this book if you love amazingly written fantasy worlds, multiple dimensions, unique character development, twists and turns, page turning suspense and tension, a unique fight against good and evil and a story of a lifetime...oh and don’t forget the sizzling romance, it’s def Sigh worthy ☺️ can’t forget that now can we!

That’s all I can say now!

The story started with a new character, the half breed that Abby and the gang needed to find. At first, I thought the story would continue with Tallina to the end, but it wasn't like that. Soon enough, Abby took over the story again. I didn't have anything against Abby, though. It's just that I wanted to know more about Tallina, and hoping that she could show me her awesome power and led the team, instead of depending on Abby.

The ending of this book was killing me, but thankfully, I have the next book ready. I couldn't wait to find out what happens to Brace and how did Samuel betrayed them. I'm sure there's a reason behind it, and he wasn't merely playing Lucy's heart. He wouldn't hurt that sweet little earthling! Off I go now to read book 3 - Crais.
