Griffin is hired to work as an 'assistant' of sorts for some guy called Hex. The problem: Griffin is a US Marine Corps Captain, and this job is so far beneath his abilities. Still, on a lark, he agrees to meet Hex, and discovers Hex is a she, and everything Griffin ever wanted in a woman. But Hex has deep-seated issues stemming from a bad past, and she trusts no one. Can Griffin change her mind?
What a silly book. We learn nothing about the characters and the story was immature. It was aiming for paranormal powers but instead it came out as though written by a 12 year old. I like some of Grotewohl’s work, but not this one.
