When Cassie’s car breaks down in Coldwater Springs, Wyoming, she’s in a bind. On the run, she doesn’t know who she can trust.
Until she meets Luke Jackson. The hunky rancher captures her heart and helps her face her fears. But can he convince her that he’s fallen in love with her, and her curves?
This is a sexy contemporary romance novelette of approximately 12,700 words.
This would have been 1000% right up my alley if it had just been longer! 41 pages is practically a Facebook post - not nearly enough time to tease out all the delicious angst. Overall, it had a chubby, kinda insecure, kinda traumatized heroine, so I liked it quite a bit; it just did not have enough space to really develop the story as much as it deserved. Lots of promise, thought!
Oh man. This was such a better book. There still wasn't that much character development but there was dram with an ex boyfriend that almost abused Cassie.
So we are back in Coldwater Spring for the nest installment of the Curves series. In this book, it takes a little bit of a more series storyline. This is a story about Cassie, who is a wonderfully curvy woman, who has abandoned everything she has worked for to escape an abusive situation, but unfortunately for her, her car broke in Coldwater Creek. But thankfully she managed to get a job at the diner to pay for her repairs and everything was going well until she dumps eggs in to a very good looking ranchers lap. Luke is enamored by Cassie the moment she dropped the eggs in her lap, now he is working his way to keeping her in his life. That is working well, until her past tracks her down. This is such a great book, I really enjoyed the characters Luke and Cassie and it was so great to revisit old character. The writing was smooth and the plot was well formed. Curves and the Rancher gets 10 out of 10 from me! Now I can’t wait for the next installment.
This story was perfectly paced, I thought. Full of Jenn Roseton's vivid descriptions and concise characterisation, it features a tender developing love affair between Cassie, survivor of a relationship between Cassie, the curvy survivor of an abusive relationship, and Luke, the rancher, who is really adorable. I particularly liked the characterisation of Phillip, the abominable ex, who went in for all sorts of psychological abuse and manipulation to undermine Cassie's self confidence and make her a willing victim. Her desperate need to escape and her craving for a tender man make her discovery of Luke's real concern for her the more enjoyable.
I enjoyed reading Curves and the Rancher ( BBW was Romance - Coldwater Springs 3), all about Luke Jackson a rancher & Cazsie a young girl who happens to be the new waitress at the local diner in town. Cassie dropped a plateful of eggs all over his lap on the second day of her job! The author wrote an interesting story and the characters brought the story to life. Cassie as it turns out is on the run from an ex-boyfriend named Philip who became quite abusive, so she left him. Read this story it will make you laugh sigh. Shake your head and cum a bit. Enjoy reading it.
This was a cute little story about Cassie, a curvy beauty who ran away from an abusive relationship, and Luke, a gorgeous rancher. Phillip was the ex who Cassie ran from because he was constantly criticizing Cassie's weight or the way she did anything. I liked Cassie and Luke and was happy with the way they came together. The one thing that bothered me about Curves and the Rancher Coldwater Springs #3 is that I noticed similarities at the beginning of this story to Coldwater Springs #1 & #2.
I enjoyed this book and this is the third book of the series. A quick, hot reading but definitely a bit lacking in terms of plot. Since it's a novella. But overall I enjoyed it; not as much as the previous ones though! Look forward to read more!
