The perks of this job include an invitation to a swinger’s party, but the boss wants far more than overtime in return...
After ten years, things have grown boring in Mallory and Tom DuBois’ marriage. For Mal, it’s the same every an online job, keeping house, cooking dinner and sex on Tuesdays and Saturdays—and not good sex either. When Tom’s colleague invites them to a party on Friday night, she expects the usual barbeque and shop-talk. However, seconds after they arrive, she’s whisked away from Tom and she discovers she couldn’t have been more wrong. Her husband’s boss is a swinger, and he wants to swap wives.
Jayson Newman has had his eye on Mallory since the day Tom started at the firm. Now, he wants to have her sweet legs wrapped around him while he claims her as his. What Tom doesn’t realize when he agrees to the swap is that Jayson’s not married and this trade is a one-way deal. Jayson has no intention of relinquishing his prize. Ever.
This book contains elements of group sex, bdsm, interracial relationships, swingers, exhibitionism/voyeurism and infidelity. This book was originally release under Brynn Paulin’s pen name, Keaton Quist.
Malory has been married for the past ten years to her husband Tom. Things haven't been going great, so when he pressures her into dressing seductively for a dinner at his bosses house, she's not happy about it.
Once they arrive, she realizes that it's not a dinner. It's a wife swapping. Tom dives right in literally, leaving Mallory to his boss and senior partner at the law firm, Jayson Newman.
Mallory soon realizes, Jayson has more than one night in mind. He lays it out for her. Tom is an ass and she now belongs to him.
BDSM and a very dominate male with a woman trying to come to terms with the fact that her marriage is over and changing to the realization that someone else is what she's always wanted.
Not bad. Although I didn't like some of the language that was used to refer to Mallory, once you got past that, it was kinda Hot. Quick read.
In her defence, I highly doubt the author meant for problematic portrayals of diverse races, but this book was a lesson in the subtle notes of racism and left me with a very bitter taste - and serves as a whatnottodo when handling diversity. The idea that the black woman is the prostitute, and these black men are crazed by white women was a reinforcement of dangerous stereotypes that I didn't get the impression were deliberately made. I know, it's a light fluffy book; but that doesn't excuse treatment of difficult issues like systemic racism. Anyway, I liked the general outline and the sex was hot
I had my doubts about reading this book because of the adultery issues, but I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. The heroines husband, Tom is an a**. He is abusive and sets up the swap without the heroines knowledge. The hero, Jayson is hot, sexy and a Dom! He knows about how Tom treats Mallory, so Jayson sets out to seduce Mallory and show her how a real man loves and treats his woman. Yummy! Like all of Brynn Paulins books, this is one hot read. Very erotic romance with a hot and loving Dom and a sweet and willing submissive who find love and their happily ever after. As always the only way to improve this story would have been with an epilogue. Adults only.
