Biography of Thomas Ken, an important figure in the late eighteenth century English Church, serving as Bishop of Bath and Wells, before being deprived of his episcopate after refusing to relinquish his oaths to King James II and offer his allegiance to William and Mary. Thus, he became a leading figure among the Nonjurors, though at the end of his life he would be reconciled to the Church of England. Originally published in 1958, it was rereleased in 1964 as part of the Great Anglicans Series.

Agreed with the other commenter that this is more a hagiography than anything else. However, I enjoyed reading every single page.
