This was a decent shifter read for me, even though there wasn’t much that went on in the plot (no real dilemmas, conflicts, controversy etc.) Here is my breakdown:
The pros:
* I liked the characters - there wasn’t a lot of depth to them, but I still sensed the chemistry between the hero and heroine
* The sex was beyond hot
* No cliffhanger - it read like a complete story even though it's part of a series
The cons:
* This book is WAYYYYYYY overpriced at its current listing price of $4.99 - Its only 88 pages long
* Some serious insta-love
* Hideous cover
* The book was mostly just sex (which isn’t always bad, but I wanted some depth aside from in the bedroom) - I would have preferred some of those encounters were replaced with some story and character development
* The plot was basically non-existent - very little occurred in this read
Overall, this made for a pretty good, quick shifter read. However, it won't be a series I personally continue. Mainly because each book in the series is listed at $4.99 - Um no. I don’t think I would pay $1.99 for these books. I feel they would be fairly priced at .99 or even offered as kindleunlimited.

Extremely short story.
Charlie is a bear shifter who has a ONS with an ocelot shifter named February. After their night together, he just can't stop thinking about her. A few weeks later, he decides to seek her out and let her know what he wants, her as his mate.
Ary can't believe her ONS with Charlie has resulted in a pregnancy. She knows she has to meet with him and let him know the news that he's about to be a dad.

Who better than bear alpha shifter, Charlie Wylde. Charlie Wylde has a reputation for being wild in bed and never sleeping with the same woman twice, just want the doctor ordered, that is until the condom breaks.
What Ary doesn't realize as she is a panicking over a possible pregnancy, is Charlie wants her as his mate. Although he is taking his sweet time admitting it to his human side, his bear knows Ary is his to keep.
Fantastic first book int he Wylde Bears series. Charlie is a jerk in some ways because of the freak out moment, but once he makes up his mind on what he wants...Ary... he is utterly sweet. I look forward to reading the rest of the series, all the brothers are unattachable in a sense but for different reasons.

She spots a bear shifter and feels soemthing, Charlie a bear shifter off the bat shes having some conflict about going home with the bear. But she gives in.
Things are turned wayyy up!! After the animal dirty times. .Charlie gives some pretty bad ad news the condom broke, they have a slight freak out and push away (for a second). She waits awhile to see if anything happens to inform Charlie. And when she does get the results back. They connect again and charlie realizes Ary is his mate. Now he has to deal with a ex and his brothers who are getting into fights.

Yay for the idea, meh for the execution. It's the same ol' same ol, with books like this one: too much sex, not enough plot. The scenes were hot, yes, but, I'd have preferred more characterization (there are so many characters and we get so little of them!), story telling (those sex scenes were loooong and but everything else felt like it all happened too fast), and the h and h spending more 'getting to know' you time (most of their getting to know you bits were glossed over). IIRC, i actually l think there was more plot in the synopsis than the actual book! so, yeah, meh pretty much sums it up.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3 because I totally heart bear shifters. A nice, short read that was a bit thin on plot (like really thin), but the sex was hot and I finished it in one sitting. The brothers are nice so I would like to read more of them.

3.25 stars....not bad, a little short. (87 pages on an ebook) Enjoyable. Supposed to be about a girl who has weight issues per description....cover does not show that?????? Little confused here but then I am a cover hound and hate inconsistencies. Or maybe it is me? Overall, a sweet little read.

After February “Ary” gets out of a bad relationship, her and her two friends go to celebrate her Dirty Thirty in the traditional manner, getting drunk and having one night stands. Ary, an ocelot shifter, has never been with a bear shifter but everyone talks about how “big” they are, especially the Wylde brothers. When the oldest Wylde brother Charlie wants to take Ary home she does something very unlike herself, she goes. Hot HOT wild sex like neither of them ever expected. One broken condom later though and the panic ensues. They go their separate ways but Charlie can't get her out of his head. When he finally calls her Ary agrees to meet up with him because she has news to share. They never expect to find their mates like this but they just can't deny it. This is a nice quick HOT read with a small amount of action and a HEA. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Didn't realize how short this book was when I got it, I just saw a shifter book and had to have it! This book was alright but because I didn't realize it was a short book I was expecting something major to happen especially because everything was going so perfect in the book, but no it was just one of those super perfect insta-love books with no real problems. It was cute, quick fun read but I wished there was just more of everything in this book if that makes sense.

Jenika Snow knows how to deliver hot, intense, decadence, steamy, and fast pacing romance novellas. This is a quick read but steamy smexy as hell !! The hero is my kinda OTT alpha male with every inch of masculinity. The heroine is sweet as candy bathed with a good amount of feminity. My go-to character type, when i want something quick but hot as fire !!

Bared for Her Bear is the first book in the Wylde Bears series by Jenika Snow. I chose this book because I enjoy reading shifter novels a lot. In addition, I have enjoyed every book I have ever read by Ms. Snow.

Charlie Wylde is a bear shifter that up until meeting Ary moved from woman to woman looking for his mate. Charlie freaks when he realizes the condom breaks sending both Ary and Charlie in opposite directions. Now days later, he is obsessed with Ary and he is starting to realize she is his mate. Now how does he convince her?
The chemistry between Charlie and Ary is scorching. I enjoyed that both Charlie and Ary were honest with not just there attraction to each other but as the story progresses their feelings with each other. The sex scenes were hot and spicy.
The only thing I would have loved was if it was a bit longer in some places like the scenes where Charlie and Frank have it out. I did find this book well written with characters that were realistic and engaging. Overall, this was a great novel and I can’t wait to read more from this series in the future.

I really love some sexy bear shifters!!! Yummy brawny grumps!! They are easily my favorite shifters/paranormals and I will read anything with them!
Charlie is delicious and Ary is really sweet, if not a touch low on self esteem. I really like this pair and was very happy with them getting together. They had a little bit of a journey to make everything work.
The story here is really enjoyable but it felt like it was on fast forward at times. I like to see the romance develop and have those sweet moments. Much of that was glossed over and the people they were in the Epilogue was different from who they were throughout the book. I would have loved to see more of that growth. And instead of telling me about phone calls and wooing, I would love to see it happen.
The steam here was off the charts!! I am talking loads of yummy action all over the house!!! Girl, this was some smexy steam!! There seemed to be way more to the steamy chapters than the romance but it was delicious!! Seriously, you might want to read this book while in a cold shower, don't ask how you can manage that feat.
I am definitely hooked on Ms Snow and will be dedicating stalking time to her!

Much of that was glossed over and the people they were in the Epilogue was different from who they were throughout the book. I would have loved to see more of that growth. And instead of telling me about phone calls and wooing, I would love to see it happen.
The steam here was off the charts!! I am talking loads of yummy action all over the house!!! Girl, this was some smexy steam!! There seemed to be way more to the steamy chapters than the romance but it was delicious!! Seriously, you might want to read this book while in a cold shower, don't ask how you can manage that feat.
I am definitely hooked on Ms Snow and will be dedicating stalking time to her!

While it was a good (I don't know what to call it seeing though it was rather short I'm going to go with a) short story and had a nice idea and writing style, it didn't have enough drama for me it was kind of plain after the main characters got over the anxiety and worry over whether or not the other one would want to be together. I gave it three stars because it was a good story but it was a story I felt ended to soon and left too many loose ends; loose ends that I'm sure will be covered it tons of books in the rest of a series of short stories that will probably end abruptly as well. If you enjoy short stories with a good idea that wasn't used to it's fullest potential than this is the story for you.

Loved this! A bear shifter and an ocelot together? Who would have thought! I love the fact that "Ary" is portrayed as a real women with actual curves and some weight on her, she is something else! I love Charlie, even though he is a strong dominant man I love that he has some sensitive areas and is insecure when it comes to his feelings for Ary. The supporting characters are also interesting and I hope to see how they play out in the future installments. All in all this is an excellent book about shifters and lust and love. Jenika Snow is an excellent writer and look forward to reading more!!!

Loved the book, loved the characters but had to deduct 1 star for HUGE paragraphs. Reading on a pc or ereader is different than paper and whoever edited this needs to learn the difference.
Whitespace is necessary on ereaders because your eyes get really tired really fast and these books (entire series so far) are so difficult to read because they go on page after page with no paragraph breaks.
Otherwise, great story.
NOTE: The author is a real sweetheart (have chatted with her on Facebook many times)and is sooooo talented and this is in no way a slam on her, it's strictly an editing issue.

Bam. With this book, we start wtih some very hot, very yummy steam ;) Hold on to your panties ladies!
I enjoyed watching their story unfold though I think we would all fancy to see more of their romance developing and sweet, cuddly moments. But of course, this is how it's like for the rest of the series. Quick read and all.
I love Charlie and Ary as a couple and how their relationship progressed with how Ary had gotten pregnant right off the bat. Charlie is strong, growly and lovely but he has his sensitive moments and slight insecurity when it comes to Ary. Ary is lovely and safe but slightly low on self-esteem. They are a good match :D

It was great until 60Ish percent of the way through. Then there was lots of repetitive lines and cheese. I didn't think Franks scenes added anything besides showing a bit of dominance and the shifting to mate when he kept shirting claws out during sex anyway felt like it wasn't needed and only added so he shifted at some point and then he did for a fight at the end anyway. It was okay, wish it had have been as great as the first half but eh. Will look into the next books but on the fence still.

I really loved this story. I love a story where characters can work out their issues. Whether they be external, issues that stem from others causing problems or internal ones that often result from them. I loved both of these characters. The had that instant undeniable connection. And the sex, that was hot. Hot hot hot. I had to repeatedly take breaks from reading them.

Decent book but i think shes trying to grab the attention of size 20's because that's what she says the main character is. But threw her writing shes talking about a 14 , 16. Not a big deal but what ever, the story was ok. A decent quick read.

Charlie and Ary meet on her 30th birthday. They are a great couple. Charlie is really there for Ary when she needs him. Charlie takes care of his brothers and defends Ary from her nasty ex. It was such a sweet story and I can't wait to see what happens with Charlie's brothers.

I just love Jenika Snow! When I went looking for new books to read I came across "Bared for Her Bear." I have read other books from Jenika and just knew it would be good. I was not wrong! I love alpha male characters that show their gentle and tender side. I bought the whole Wylde Bears Series.
