The darkness in Elnye is growing. There is screaming in Exhile.
The mysterious woman, known only as “She”, is in a rage. Her pawn, Maleina has made a dangerous move and severed her communications with the dark mistress. Now as dueling dark forces, master and willing initiate, they begin to jockey for power as the stage is set for the coming war.
Kaeleigh and her small band of loyal companions have escaped the dungeons of Elnye and found their way to the secret home of the Ehsmia. After breaking the vicious bond that enslaved Daegan to Maleina’s will, the walls between Kaeleigh and her Ferrishyn warrior begin to fall, as their feelings for each other begin to give way to passion.
The darkness is fractured, but its relentless quest for power goes unabated. A war is coming. However, the power of the Sol-lumieth has finally come together and found its light. A blinding light of freedom, that may be the salvation for all of Alandria.
Morgan Wylie published her first novel, Silent Orchids, one year after moving across the country with her family on a journey of new discovery. After an amazing three years in Nashville, TN and the release of two more books, Morgan and her family found their way back to the Northwest where they now reside. Still working everyday with great optimism, Morgan continues to embrace all things: "Mama", wife, teacher, and mediator to the many voices and muses constantly chattering in her head... where it gets pretty loud!

Kayleigh has gone from clueless teen, adrift in the human world to an evolving powerhouse of magic and power as she uncovers more of the truth of her heritage and strengths of the family she never knew. By her side, every step of the way is the brooding Daegan, who is desperately trying to break free of the dark hold the evil Maleina has over him. Could it be that Maleina is a mere puppet to another dark master? The prophecy becomes clearer, and Kaeleigh will not stand alone as the last hope for good, there will be another by her side, giving their strength and support, as well as their love, the most powerful weapon of all. As the dark evil forces the battle to finally happen, will the races put aside their differences and see they all want the same thing? Will elf stand by fairy and shifter against evil? Young romance is in the air, war is in the offing and the pressure is about to explode.
I actually had to drag myself back to reality when those last pages were finished. Hats off to author Morgan Wylie and the magical world she has brought to life! Fractured Darkness is the most powerful of the series so far with more action, more conflict and more revelations and discoveries! Kayleigh has grown exponentially, Daegan has shown a softer side and Chel, well, she is just as free-spirited as before, but more mature. As other characters become more vital to this tale, they also take on personalities that bring humor, as well as strength to this amazing tale.
With page after page of action, emotion and both character and plot growth, Ms. Wylie has taken us where few authors can, into a world of fantasy where we are more than mere observers, but become part of all that is going on. With a rapid-fire plot that opens news twists are every turn, this YA fantasy relies on this author’s imagination to avoid the pitfalls of teen angst and puppy love in favor of quality story telling that breathes fire with its intensity! This is one series I am recommending as a must read for any age, because you can never outgrow a great read!
I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

The fight to save Alandria ramps up in this captivating 3rd book in The Age of Alandria series. Secrets are revealed, powers developed, friendships grow and romance blooms even in the darkest of times. The characters continue to develop in depth and complexity. I loved the progression of Deagan and Kaeliegh relationship, they are both strong, appealing characters and you can not help but route for them. Hal's humour and willingness to fight for what is right, Chel's sass and loyalty, and Fin's struggle to find redemption, make these secondary characters more than likeable. You are drawn into all their lives and become invested in their survival. This story has intrigue, battles against evil, adventure and romance. I will look forward to the continuation of the story in future books.
Oh wow! Things are really getting intense now! Kaeleigh is learning more about her powers, Daegan is doing his best to break completely free of Maleina’s grasp and keep Kaeleigh safe at the same time. Chel and Finn are both finding their place in the new world and we get introduced to some amazing new characters, too. Of course Maleina is still being the same evil witch we’ve grown to hate, but now the situation is turning even more dangerous as a new villain begins to grow in power. I simply love all of Alandria and am thrilled with the way the story progresses in this book! Kaleigh has always been a strong individual and loyal friend; I can’t wait to see where her powers take her! And Daegan couldn’t possibly be any hotter as a brave warrior and fierce protector! This series is definitely one of my favorites and I will be very anxiously awaiting the next book!!
"Fractured Darkness" by Morgan Wylie delves deeper into the gripping saga of Elnye's growing darkness and the impending clash between light and shadow.
As a fan of Wylie's enchanting storytelling, I eagerly immersed myself in the third installment of The Age of Alandria series. The narrative picks up with Kaeleigh and her loyal companions navigating a world increasingly consumed by Maleina's sinister influence. The stakes are higher than ever as they confront the escalating power struggle between Maleina and the mysterious "She", whose rage threatens to plunge Alandria into chaos.
Wylie masterfully balances intricate plotlines with rich character development, allowing the bonds between Kaeleigh, Daegan, and their allies to deepen amidst the looming threat of war. The evolution of their relationships, particularly the burgeoning romance between Kaeleigh and Daegan, adds a poignant layer to the narrative, resonating with themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the resilience of the human spirit.
The world-building in "Fractured Darkness" is nothing short of mesmerizing, with vivid descriptions that transport readers to the heart of Elnye and beyond. From the secret sanctuary of the Ehsmia to the relentless pursuit of power by Maleina, every scene is crafted with meticulous detail, immersing me in the fantastical realm of Alandria.
What captivated me most about this book is Wylie's ability to infuse the story with both hope and peril, keeping me on the edge of my seat with each turn of the page. The convergence of light and darkness, symbolized by the Sol-lumieth's newfound power, promises a thrilling culmination in the battle for Alandria's fate.
"Fractured Darkness" is a testament to Wylie's talent for blending fantasy with profound themes of courage and redemption. It's a compelling read for fans of epic fantasy who crave immersive worlds, complex characters, and high-stakes adventures.
As I eagerly await the next chapter in The Age of Alandria series, I applaud Morgan Wylie for delivering another captivating installment that leaves me hungry for more. This book is a must-read for anyone seeking a spellbinding journey into a realm where darkness threatens to eclipse the light, and heroes rise to face their destinies with unwavering determination.

Not only is the cover art AMAZING but it depicts a part in the book where anything can happen and boy does the excitement and energy stay at an extreme high. The story doesn't ease up nor do the characters. The more they learn the stronger they are. We learn some real earth shattering things in this part of the journey and now they are paired up to go on their independent journey's. All of them have changed Kayleigh has grown up and accepted her fate, Daegan has found out more about himself and been released from the tie to Maleina and so much more. Don't blink you may miss something.
I love the story and the journey of discovery as well as the growth into acceptance. The surprises never stop and the story never slackens, so put on your big girl pants and be ready for ANYTHING!!
THE HEAT IS ON!!! Ok, I have to say it, I think I'm addicted. This story just keeps getting better. You'll be so engrossed with this one that all the nail biting, high blood pressure, eyes burning, back aching, squirming around and even the world won't matter until you've read the last word. This is off the charts. Morgan is definitely at the top of her game in this captivating series. When the characters are at their lowest, they find the strength to move forward. You really have to read this series. If you want a little excitement, adrenaline pumping, heart racing and want to cheer the characters on, you've come to the right place.
Fractured Darkness brings us further into the world of Alandria! With more adventure and action, this book was a stepping stone in the series setting up even more for the characters. We get some more romantic moments between Deagan and Kaeliegh, which I am excited to see where this will lead. All in all, this was a solid third book in the series and has made me itching to find out what will happen next! I can't wait for book 4!
Wow! What a thrill ride and while I was hesitant to read it given my experience reading book two, I'm so glad I stuck with it. Watching the characters grow and evolve while battling the darkness/evil was a treat. I was captivated from the get-go and wonder if there is another book to the series.
As the journey for our friends continues so does their growth. Each physical step they take, has them taking multiple steps in themselves. Becoming confident with who they are and their ability to wield power. We are given more history and some doozy questions are answered while others still tease us.
Still loving the story and characters. This book was more of a history/back-building type and it went a little slower than the others. That doesn’t detract from the awesome revelations or the intensity of the characters’ struggles. I’m dying to have more!
This is a masterfully written series. Each of the main characters are complex and unique. This is one of my favorite faerie tale stories. This is not a series you can breeze through. It is one that should be savored. Looking forward to the next installment.
TBH this author writing style and I don't mix well. I find myself often loss and definitely messes with the flow of the story. While I do like the story and characters, it doesn't fully work for me and still mulling if I will finish this series.
The action continues in this book. The chemistry between Kaeliegh and Deagan is increasing. Will Kaleigh and her friends get out of prison? Will the people of Alandria stand with them?.

I have enjoyed The Age of Alandria series and this third book is a great continuation of the series. The character growth is awesome with wonderful fantasy elements.

What I liked: Despite my qualms about this series because of the first book, Veiled Shadows and now Fractured Darkness have shown that this was indeed an enjoyable series. Watching the romance between Daegan and Kaeleigh form over the series so far has made it much more believable, and much better. Kaeleigh herself has come a long way from who she was back in Silent Orchids, not only in the terms of who she is now, but what she knows about herself and can do with her abilities. Plus her friends certainly are not who they were then, Chel and Finn have certainly changed from who they were in Silent Orchids as well. The introduction of a new, even more sinister antagonist in the series has certain made me more interested in how the next book will handle everything that happened in this book as well.
What I didn't like: Fresh off this book, I can't think of much that bothered me in this one (which happens every now and again). I'm still not a fan of the narrative style of these books, but its something that I have become used to over the series.
Overall Review: Fractured Darkness was a fantasy book that has a great mixture of characters who have grown and events that are shaping the way they have to go about winning against She, the woman who is behind so much of the darkness in dying Alandria. I really enjoyed this book and most everything it offered to me as I read it, and I look forward to the potential with the next book.
Recommend?: Yes, certainly! It's a good book, and this series has plenty of potential still.
Because it had been a while since the last book had been released, I totally reread the first two books to refresh my memory on the storyline. It was as interesting the second time around as the first. Book 3 left me wanting even more. As the storyline and the characters continue to evolve I can not think of a single bad thing to say except for, please do not make me wait for a year for the next installment to this series! The Age of Alandria series is completely addictive and Morgan Wylie has a way of spinning her tale so that the reader can visualize what is happening in the book.
Deagan and Kaelieghanna are of course the main love interest and are destined to be together by the Fates dealt to them but it is so much more. Their chemistry is palpable.
As other characters and love interest evolve it will be interesting to see who picks who, can love conquer all, can the light win over darkness, and can Alandria be saved? I can't wait for the next installment to this series!
I think that this book is the best for information. We get a lot more information on the characters in the book as well as the prophecy. There are still some questions that haven't been answered, but you get so much more information!
We also get some new characters in this novel. I liked the dynamic that the group is getting. I'm also interested in a couple things about certain characters. For example, one was only mentioned once in the novel, so, of course, I want to know what happens to that character while all of the other stuff is going around!
I feel like this novel is more information and character building. We see a lot more connections being formed and more information being provided. Yes, there is still some battles and journeys, but it is mostly the characters and their development of their characters and of their magic.
Another great book in this series, I can't wait to read the next one in the series! I hope it comes soon!

The Age of Alandria is just amazing its a cliff hanger it will just make you wanna whats gonna happen next its amazing i couldn't get enough of this series there are just now words to explain how amazing it is. And it also very refreshing for a ya book when most contain sex and verbal langue that is not appropriate to our young adult this is a clean book amazing and its not all about a love interest mind you the main character does have a crush but is not the main point with in the book which i loved!
I started reading this at the beginning of 2016 but got side-tracked with a thousand other things. I finally was able to get back to it in November! This one was a little slower than the previous story, but not in a bad way. It certainly builds the mystery and left me wanting more. I am looking forward to the rest of the series!
The adventure continues. I loved this third instalment to the series. The characters and plot are beautifully done this is the best work yet by Morgan. I can't wait to see what happens next in the series.
That ending?! I have always been a fan of this series. Some characters really grow on you and some not so much. I was hoping this would be the final book since I am so anxious to see how it will end! There were plenty of twists and turns! Very good book! Can't wait for the next one!
Wow is really all i can say. I waited long enough but it was worth it. The writer really blew me away with the imagery and emotion in this book. I can't wait to see how this story plays out so many twists and turns and finally a book that isn't so predictable!
Love this series! This book brings you even further into the world of Alandria and everything is finally coming to light. I cannot wait to see how the relationships develop further, and for "She" to get what's coming to her. Such a great installment.
I almost accidentally discovered this enthralling series. It was one that didn't capture me with the description but I downloaded it anyway. Oh, the gods of literature were on my side! Where is the next one? I must have it!
