The Penguin Book of Australian Jokes

Rate this book
Jokes are a bit like electro-convulsive therapy. Laugher does to the brain what a good sneeze does to the nasal passages. If you read this entire volume in one sitting, it will be the equivalent of 10 years in psychoanalysis.

The Penguin Book of Australian Jokes is a scandalous, subversive, hilarious collection of jokes, anecdotes, and distinctively Australian humour.

Has a very mid 90s sense to it (for want of a better term), meaning it has its share of racist and politically incorrect jokes in here. Some of the jokes are absolute duds (I read a few a couple of times to see if there was more subtext to it but, no, just a dud), but most are okay to great.
